flybabies april 24th

I so need to get back into the Flylady thing and have re-signed up for the emails. My mom will be here in two weeks, along with my Gram, aunt, and stepfather. That week is DD8s birthday (NINE! OMG!), Spring Program at school, Mothers Day, AND the big thing: I'm having ALL the kids baptized. So I have two weeks to whip this place into shape! Somehow in between all the ball practices and games that will take place nearly every night. Yikes!

I'm off to finish breakfast and then get busy.

The living room is frustrating me. DH's studio flooded so he moved everything down here, and he squawks whenever I try to clean up the crap that ABSOLUTELY MUST be kept on the floor-- "if you put it on the shelf, I'll never find it!" We're moving to a different apartment soon, thankfully, with a nice dry studio where he can keep it all.

So meanwhile, PODA:

-work on DH's lesson plan for his music history students (I promised I'd help)
-straighten up the kitchen (at least DH lets me clean that much)
-laundry, or get mom to help me do laundry!

Andrea-get that wrist checked out,it may just need a support type splint. Seems like it really is bothering you alot more. And that DragonSpeak software will help you with all the writing/typing you do at work. Does your school have it on computers already? Take Care.

Wow, there is a lot going on here!

I am hiding out from my children, who are little beasties today! I guess that is the reward for taking them to a waterpark resort for 2 days? (DD turned 7 on Sunday.)

Actually we had a great time, but I think they are worn out, especially the littlest, who is truly a little devil today!

I can't believe you are about to have a 9yo child, Jenny! Everyone is getting older around here. Our "baby" is three in a few weeks!

Well, I think I'll try to prod the troops outside. My primary goal for today is to prepare my project to ship tomorrow and keep everyone from hurting each other!

Thanks for your concern Heidi. I actually had an appointment today with an orthopedist and then cancelled it last week when it was doing better. I'm pushing it with sick/personal days. So I may wait until summer vacation to see someone. It does help when I rest it. I am also going to explore getting a wrist pad for my 'puter at work.

DH is at a work dinner tonite, so the kids and I had Wendy's! Easy and good. Just chilling now while they are getting ready for bed.

Flying? Well, maintaining is more like it. Laundry is done!

Good thing I got up and checked the DW this morning. DH had said he would "load the DW" last night, and he did. He filled it full, including nearly all of our utensils. But did he run it?

Heidi, our Walmart did that last year. I liked the snack bar, it had GREAT cokes! Now they are overpriced cokes and also won't take checks (which really pisses me off, since I seldom carry cash and I have no debit or ATM card, and like it that way). But I have ate there on occasion. Not bad. Personally, I think all Subways are overpriced. LOL!

I spent yesterday in town all day and didn't get HALF of what I needed to get done accomplished. Which is really depressing. Though I hate to, I'm thinking about going back up there today to accomplish what I had set out to do (one of which is to buy a new dishwasher). The kids have no school (it's our built in snow day. We had no snow this year!). DH is taking a pause from cutting on account that it looks like rain chances the next couple of nights. So I'm hoping he will take DS3, and I'll take the others and have a "girls day out with one boy". But I haven't decided yet.

Oh, Week of new toys. I got my new sewing machine (it does embroidery. Very cool!), and the kids got their own 4-wheeler. LOL! In fact, DH and DD8 just took the two of them out for a morning ride.
