Just back from my walk with the kids. Now need to shower and dress. Howdy, howdy. Another dayHowdy, howdy. Another day here on the high plains. A little chilly this morning, and only supposed to get into the upper 70's (beats the 90's we have been having!). But no wind! yay!! My days of single mothering have begun. DH started cutting wheat late yesterday afternoon. The next month he will be cutting from about sunup to sundown. Why does little league season coincide with wheat season? I have lots of paperwork, deskwork to do today. Hopefully Drew will allow me to get it all done. more flying time! Most of my school responsibilities are finished for the year, now. I still have places to go but not much prep work, except helping DH with prep for his job. Today I had to give a lecture on The Barber of Seville, and that's my last big thing. Mom is visiting. Tomorrow she and I are going to get some stuff done as far as moving me and DH to a new (cheaper) apartment-- get some boxes and a Costco run. ![]() Watch out little leaguers!I've heard how you go on about the volleyball players, Jenny! Full days and nights here as usual. We are enjoying spring soooo much. I have some new photos up on the blog of the girls on the swing. It is just great to be able to be outside! I lost a fair amount of time today looking for our dog, who mysteriously got out of our fenced-in yard. (This is a 6-foot solid wood privacy fence.) Thank goodness a thoughtful teenage girl in the neighborhood found her -- she was walking her around the neighborhood on a leash looking for her owner! (She has some kind of "chip" in her back -- very high tech -- but have not gotten around to the useful license with our names on it!) Well, Lent is over, which means I'm off to do Sudoku! ![]() Morning all - Glad you foundMorning all - Glad you found your dog Shaun! What a pain - I remember looking for our dog for hours and hours (we gave him away). Glad you can have some down time Becky. Well, I never tada'd anything yesterday, but I did get a lot done. Good Afternoon! TADA morningGood Afternoon! TADA PODA Shaun-don't you wish those microchip things could be imbedded in kids? Big cleaning day tomorow in prep for DD 5th bday party here Saturday afternoon....... Heidi ![]() Just a matter of timeBefore you know it Bill Gates will be selling all of us microchips to put in any convenient crevice. ((Eeewwww!!)) The cake and pizza get picked up in there too and the wings get made here(DH is doing that!) She is excited!! Have a pleasant evening everyone! Heidi ![]() I feel bad even pokeing my head in hereI'm such a slacker about posting lately, I suck what can I say. Jamie Lea Aw, Jamie, you don't suck!Aw, Jamie, you don't suck! LOL!! I'm the major slacker. Yesterday was spent at little league opening ceremonies. To which I had to carry Drew for two hours (in the sling, thankfully), Chance had a meltdown, and it was about 83 outside. Then we went to McDs, then Walmart, and home. Last night was a lightning storm (no rain here), and the evening was spent calling 911 about fires (not real close by, about 10 or so miles away) and listening to my husband over the police scanner fighting the fires. He got home at 3am. The good thing that happened was that for 2 nights now, Drew has slept in his crib! yay!!!! He woke up once at about 3, and it took a while to get him back to sleep enough to stay in there, but he did and I got to sleep for 3 hours or so a stretch. whoohoo! Good Evening! TADA morningGood Evening! TADA PODA The party was a success and DD has many summer outfits and shoes now Jenny-glad Drew is taking to the crib easy for you. Sleep is a wonderful thing! See ya.....
