What the hell??!!!$&)(%$@#^&*(What the heck happened??? Sorry for the cussing when roaring back in, but where is everyone? I had to do *something* to grab your attention. Does everyone have all their rooms where they'd like them to be? I don't. I thought I'd come home and find this thread a hive of activity, and that I'd be doing serious catchup. What do I find??? I had to go to page 3 to find the thread and there hadn't been a post for a very long time. Heads up.....it's April......Spring is on our heels and outside "stuff" is going to be calling us any minute now. So, pick a last minute room to work at on those rainy days, and get ready to enjoy the season. Is that OK Lynn? Can we slack off abit for the summer? I'm choosing my bedroom and bathroom. They are personal rooms and I'll enjoy picking at them. My closet needs a going through anyway so it's a perfect space to work on. I'm in the mood for *me*(see New You thread when I find it....ahem!!). Come on now, one room a month and there's no posting??? Has the site been down??? Not ready to pick a room yetbut I can't tell you how glad I am that we've irritated you into coming out of retirement Hope!!! I have to clean the whole downstairs... this morning! I have someone coming at midday, and I'd prefer for him to have a slightly better first impression of my home than the policemen who turned up yesterday. NB. If you start an incident thingy with the police do make sure your downstairs is company ready because it's horribly embarrassing to have to move armfuls of clean bedding that you haven't got round to putting away (and they didn't know it was clean of course - it hadn't got to the neatly folded stage!). That will probably put me back tidying my bedroom I would guess. good to have you back everywhere Hope!! Kerri. DS14's roomI think my bedroom was the room I picked for January. I've been working in there on and off all this time, and do have it now almost finished. Mainly I just have boxes of unfiled paperwork and magazines to sort. In April I would like to get DS14's room organised, with his help of course. ![]() I think we were hiding, or something...If no one starts a new thread, the old one doesn't count, right? Well, my office is no better, but I have got a good start on my "outside" room--the yard and garden. I'm trying to expand my garden this spring and it's taking a lot of my time. The inside of my house is being neglected a bit while I work on it. I think my garden will have to be my "room" for the month. Ok, You are so, so, right! IOk, You are so, so, right! I have been procrastinating in a big way! I read this thread earlier and just kick myself over to the Craft Room. It's just about done. I just need to vacume and I'll be through. I've been gathering white frosting buckets from the local bakery. They need to be cleaned thoroughly then filled with all of the grain and dry products I've been collecting lately just in case we have a Quarantine. So, tomorrow the goal is to get all of the buckets washed, dried and filled. Then move all of those buckets to the storage area. That will probably take 3 hrs. Then, Oh, my, goodness, I'm going to say it.... The Bathrooms! Yes, I'll say it here. I'm going to clean those bathrooms top to bottom. I'll even wash the windows in the bathrooms! Thanks Hope, You have gotten me motivated! ![]() oy!Thanks. The dining room (March) got mostly taken care of. The desk is clear and ready to move, the shoe cabinet has been cleared and organized, the bookcases have been purged and redone, boxes of crap in the corners have been removed, the altar has been cleaned and refreshed for spring. Still have to move the desk and filing cabinet upstairs. April is The Basement, which includes The Garage. dun-dun-duhhhhh! We kicked off the month by selling my husband's Vespa. That opened up a HUGE space in the garage. Tomorrow I'm going washing machine shopping for a used but sturdy washer with part of the proceeds. Our old one is rusting out. We're going to save up for a Staber. It'll take a couple years but it'll probably be the last machine we'll ever have to buy, and it can run on home-generated power which we're hoping to have up and running in five years. The goal for the basement is to get it set up so that I can teach Josie to sew this summer, and so I can sew myself. I'm getting itchy to make clothes again. Also there's a piano down there and Josie wants to take lessons. Lynn Siprelle, Editor Post new comment |
