I think Lynn is feeling under the weather right now so I'll go ahead and start the thread for March. Hiss-boo right? You were probably enjoying slacking whilst you waited for the new thread....I know I did.

Has everyone got a vision for March? Do you all know what room you're working on? Or are you still working at last months effort?

Time to check in and record your intensions Smiling .

Sad but true

Submitted by Hope on Thu, 03/02/2006 - 6:47am.

I'm a lazy mutt!!!!

I never did get finished in my den/office last month. I'm so distracted by creativity these days(teaching myself to paint)that I don't even want to clean my house let alone get rooms in order.

I'm going golfing for a couple of weeks this month so decided not to move on to a new room as I'd never get it done. Instead, I will work at finishing this room I've been picking at and finish my filing job. I might put the X-mas wrapping supplies away too Shocked .

That's my plan then.....finish what I've started and clean my house before I fly out. I think my housesitter would appreciate it.

new month you say??

well I'm still in the office until DH gets back, the bed's taken and the desk is fixed - that'd be about the middle of next week. I dismantled the bed sometime after 11pm last night, which shows were my marbles have gone! Unfortunately we had some snow tday so no chance of anyone collecting thebed today I don't reckon. Not in the UK. Maybe this much snow wouldn't stop the Canadians... it was only a couple of inches - Canada would be stopped year-round if it made that kind of fuss! I was suprised our school wasn't closed, but most of the kids live nearby since it's still the little kids.

I got a couple of the folded boxes out into the bin this morning, through that snow. I'll put the next ones in a bit later since the bin is now nicey empty, then the smaller recylcing can go round it. I still plan to rearrange the garage to make better use of the space in there. Without boxes it will be much improved. I suppose that some of my later March attention will be in the garage then, but I do need to do a bit of clearing in our bedroom too before DH gets back. At the moment half the office is in there till the bed has been manoeuvred out - it's a SMALL room! Need to post some things off to Honey that she's been waiting for so politely. Since they've been cluttering up my bedroom a while they might get sent this month!

I should really join in

Submitted by Sparrow on Thu, 03/02/2006 - 10:29am.

...because all my rooms need work and I have to start somewhere! At Thanksgiving we drove a truck full of furniture and things back from my parents' house, and I still need to sort through all of that. I've been keeping busy with other things, but I think I'm just going to have to jump in and get started.

So, which room to start with? I think our office--it's terrible, and we spend a lot of time in here. I desperately need to reorganize in here and figure out a better system for dealing with all this paper.

GONE!!!

Submitted by Kerri on Thu, 03/02/2006 - 10:38am.

The bed is GONE!!! And it AIN'T coming back!!! It was for a 'sister' so hopefully she's not an 8ft tall sister and they should be pleased - they needed a spare bed at short notice. So now I have no excuse for not whipping this office into shape! Isn't it amazing how we all seem to need to do our office areas above all our other living spaces!!!

Yeah, I haven't been feeling up to snuff lately. We haven't picked the next room yet; we've been distracted by the dryer dying. I'm going to blog about that in a bit, John is an appliance studly man. Eye-wink

The room

Submitted by Lynn on Thu, 03/02/2006 - 4:14pm.

John has chosen the dining room, since that was to have been our target last month changed at the last minute to the upstairs. A desk to move, stuff to reorganize, a filing system to work out.

Zone weekend

Submitted by Marlene on Thu, 03/02/2006 - 5:11pm.

This upcoming weekend I hope to get some more zones done. But I'm finding that the more zones I do, the more this family comes behind me and "undoes" them...grrrrrr.......
