I know some of you are in the middle of some nasty weather. I thought it would interesting to see who is experiencing what....

Andrea - are you in the middle of the stuff that hit Rochester?

Here in Coastal Texas we have had one heck of a light winter. But this morning we woke up to temps in the upper 60's and by lunch we are in the low 50's upper 40's with drizzle and wind!

I'm enjoying -50C with the windchill(that's -58F). We have had about 3 of these really nasty days in a row now.

I'm not complaining about it though, because the rest of our winter so far has been above average temps. Really, really nice in fact. It even rained here in mid January and that is *unheard* of.

It was 50 degress but sleeting when I woke up.

Now we have 50mph winds and it is 23 degrees. There have also been two snow squalls.

We have a high wind warning until tomorrow, and the high temp tomorrow is 11 degrees. Yikes.

Just ahead of you, Jo...

62f at midnight last night...about 12f now and the wind was clocked~50mph last night...it woke me up twice!

Hope takes all the fun out of whining about winter weather....we just can't compete with her!

50s-60s, light drizzle. It's been warmer and dryer most of the winter, so this is an exception.

Horrible. Most of our winter

Horrible.

Most of our winter has been highs in the 60's and 70's and lows in the 20's and 30's. Quite a few windy days, 30-40 MPH with gusts 50+, which is awful because the dust storms are really bad since the fire that burned 35,000 acres all around us. Nothing holding the dirt down. Most of the nice days we can't go out to enjoy because of the wind.

We also have had no rain since October 15th. Or snow, which is VERY unusual. Three of our four wheat fields are almost completely dead. No rain in 4 months. If we don't get some soon, it's really going to hurt our economy (because of all the farmers' wheat dying).

However, the past couple of days have been a big change. Yesterday and today's highs are about 20 or so. But no precipitation in sight.

Do a rain dance for us, please!!
