Bright Eyed and Bushy Tailed?

Submitted by Momma M on Mon, 02/13/2006 - 12:53am.

Not me. But the paperwork monster is about to eat me whole. I am so bummed and behind on paperwork. And school is out, so I have the boys ALL day. Yeah!

BUT, I'm going to put on some tunes, and get started with routines. Then work on the paper pile in 15 minute blocks of time.

Hmmm... Zone three now? I had to check. Need to put those stickers on my calendar.

I still havn't managed to get Kelly's missions done, and only got the zone work accomplished twice in the last 3 weeks. How do the rest of you manage zones and missions?

The routines really do help with my stress level, so I will try to stay on top of them!

Zones? MIssions?

Submitted by jennye on Tue, 02/14/2006 - 11:46am.

HA!! I can barely keep up with morning and before bed routines! LOL!

I did town yesterday instead of my weekly blessing. Today I've spent all day cooking, but cleaned as I went so the kitchen is neat.

Hired hand made me mad. He was supposed to dig up my crepe myrtles so I could transplant. Instead, he chopped them off at the base. Now I not only have nothing to plant, but I still have to dig out the roots so I can plant something else! ARG!!

I haven't had a decent nights sleep in days, and yesterday was especially awful. I may not make it to dinner! Sadly DH has been working nights, so I cannot even guilt him into letting me sleep, since he hasn't slept either.

I think it's going to be a pretty tame Valentine's Day around here! Eye-wink

Hi All! Happy Valentine's

Submitted by Andrea on Tue, 02/14/2006 - 4:56pm.

Hi All!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

We have had a low key day - DH got me a Starbucks gift card which I will use! I got him a cheesecake and a Jelly Belly collection. Cards of course and the kids got gifts.

Other than that a typical day - laundry, etc.

Jamie Lea - I qm enjoying your pics - that is a great zoo! We enjoyed it even before kiddos.

Heidi, we think alike with the cheesecake! Love it - nice that you could grab lunch together.

Hey Shaun - gosh you've got to get your sleep. I often go to bed at 9:00. If all else fails, I often just try to go to bed early and it helps.

Hi everyone else! Must run to bedtimes for kiddos!

Jennye, Oh, MY GOSH!!!!! I'm so sorry about your crepe myrtles!!!!! Grrrrr.... I agree with Heidi, have him dig up the darn roots.

Shaun--PLEASE don't feel so much Valentine's Day pressure. Everyday is VDay, right? Kind of, sort of?

Heidi, I like it when you post your TODOs and PODAs. They help me remember what I'm supposed to be working towards. I'm one of those who is just trying to keep up with MR and BBR right now.

Andrea, my DH loves those Jelly Bean collections, too. Smiling

Jamie Lea, PICTURES?

Okay, lousy day, didn't go as "planned". Right down to smashing my finger tip in the rear access window to the SUV. It was stuck, couldn't reach the latch to open, had to pull the finger out. I kind of gave up on the rest of the day and just decided to be "happy". Going to chill a little this evening and see if I can recover a bit now.

zones and missions

Submitted by Becky on Tue, 02/14/2006 - 6:14pm.

Sometimes I do them, sometimes I don't. Depends on the day.

Sounds like everyone's day has been pretty crazy! Mine hasn't, thankfully. Just normal. One of my friends went into the hospital but it was a calm, expected thing which is not really scary, just unpleasant. Otherwise, everything has been routine.

TADA:

-kept up with routines
-vacuumed
-laundry (still have to put away, otherwise done)
-cleaned mirrors
-took out a bunch of trash
-made cookies (a little later than planned! but I did it)
-dusted around the living room and bedrooms
-plumbed the depths of DH's studio and got some trash out of there-- to be fair, he got it started
-made pizza dough which is now rising; that will be for tonight's heart-shaped pizza for dinner in a little over an hour

Shaun's picture

Ouch!

Submitted by Shaun on Tue, 02/14/2006 - 6:45pm.

That sounds nasty, Karin.

Well, our V-day night is winding down. Very simple dinner, then forced myself to unload and reload DW while DH slept on the sofa -- through the children banging on the piano and screaming "Wake Up Wallace!" (Playing Wallace and Grommit.)

I had gotten some yummy Choxie mocha dream cakes from Target, so after the kids went to bed we ate those. Now DH is taking doggie for a walk and I am in my PJs, Valentine socks, and fleecy robe in front of the computer. Everyone has this yucky cough, too. Woo hoo! -- I hope every day isn't like *this* valentines day!

Do I fold the laundry in the dryer? I am sooooo cold, and the basement is even colder . . . Tune in tomorrow to see if Shaun drags her a** back downstairs or just retires with her Sudoku book for the evening!

Shaun, I would pick Sudoku.

Submitted by jennye on Wed, 02/15/2006 - 9:22am.

Shaun, I would pick Sudoku. What did you decide. LOL!

Karin, OUCH!!! Is it ok now?

I've been helping DH all morning finishing up all the paperwork for our damage claim to the Air Force from the fire. He has an appointment to go on base this afternoon to turn it in. We took lots of pictures of damage and got lots of quotes on stuff.

Dinner for MIL went well last night. And it was mostly all cleaned up before she got here so not much to do afterwards.

I've talked DH into letting me fly out to GA to visit my mom, whose having a rough time right now with jailbird stepbrother. It won't be for a couple of weeks yet, but I have LOTS to do before then. I don't want any bitching about how I left the house. I want it all clean so that any mess made will be THEIR OWN. And maybe I'll be appreciated a bit when I get back for all I do. Yes, I'm being a martyr. Just Drew and I are going, leaving DH with the other three (should be VERY interesting, him with 3 kids for 5 days. LOL!). I actually wanted to take Chance, but DH can't stand being away from his boy for that long. LOL!

Anyway, bottom line, massive housecleaning for the next couple of week!!

What do you think?

Submitted by Shaun on Thu, 02/16/2006 - 8:12am.

Of course I picked Sudoku! Big grin

Ugh, I am sick. DH is sick. Girls are recovering. I told DH we ought to send them to a kennel til we're better. Evil

I read books, did puzzles, and generally attended to DD2s every whim this morning, then I noticed it wasn't even 10 am! Ack! Hello PBS Kids!

My plans for the day are: freelance work, unload/reload DW, fluff and fold dryer stuff (it is a different load from the last post!), make dinner. I think that's all I can handle.

Enjoy the time together Heidi! My DD6 liked Nanny McPhee -- didn't love it, but liked it.

I'm going to try to get a little proofreading done while Sesame Street is still interesting to DD2 and DDog is in the crate.

I tried to catch up quick- Quick Hi's to everyone Smiling

My belly has grown huge- I barely am fitting in my maternity clothes- the baby weighs 6lbs 1oz according to the high risk guy. I wonder if those things are really accurate. It's COLD! Ok, I know,

Submitted by jennye on Fri, 02/17/2006 - 7:10am.

It's COLD! Ok, I know, some of y'all are really cold. It's 20 here right now. High will be about 40. And tomorrow 30% chance of snow. PLEASE oh PLEASE let it snow. Or rain. Or ice. SOMETHING that is wet is all I'm asking for. 4 months since last rain. Seriously.

Going to be a town day today. Shelby brought home a surprise from school yesterday: Two baby chicks. I've never had chicks or fowl of any sort, so I'm going to the feed store to get whatever I need, I guess. Also groceries. Out of milk, bread, yogurts and WW meals (and of course will pick up a few other things while I'm there).

Heidi, wind is just a given here anymore. Glad it didn't damage your yard.

Winter Break?

Submitted by jennye on Fri, 02/17/2006 - 7:38am.

If this is Winter Break, what did you have back around Christmas? And do you have a Spring break? Our Spring break is the last week of March (and state cheer competition, so I'll be in Albuquerque for part of it!).

No school Monday, so we at least have a 3 day weekend (though I just found out one of DH's cousin's MIL just died, so we may be hosting a bunch of family out of town for her funeral on Monday). Awful lot of those lately.

Hi flyfriends!!

Submitted by Tigerlilly on Fri, 02/17/2006 - 7:57am.

Hanging on by a thread here today. I am seriously tired. I better get used to this feeling for when the baby comes its just so ahrd to be patient with Alexa and I feel so foggy!!! At least Dh coems home early- or maybe not a good thing for him since he almost got shot this am when he told me the apples I bought yesterday weren't crunchy!~ Buy your own apples then! Boy hormones make me crazy!!!!!!!!!

Jenny, I will pray for some form of rain/snow for you. Have fun with your baby chicks.

Hi Heidi and Andrea. Its great to "see" you girls too.

Quick waves to everyone while Alexa is actually keeping herself busy with her blocks.
Poda and tada:
~ran dishwasher. HAve to unload it
~some sort of am routine done- bed made, breakfast, I am dressed, brought out recycling, swished bathrooms
~ order prints of Alexa from 6-12 months. I only am up to 6 months in her photo album. I started digital scrapbooking and I got sidetracked with the actual album.
~pick up rocking chair for dfriends baby shower
~make meat loaf, mashed and peas for dinner
~TAKE A NAP AND STOP BEING SO CRABBY!!!

OK have a great day Love Jackie

Good Afternoon

Submitted by jamielea on Fri, 02/17/2006 - 10:24am.

I know, 3 post in one week, I'm on a roll! Laughing out loud

Heidi and Karin, my pictures are at http://www.xanga.com/homeschoolingthem
you may have to go to the bottom of the page and click on "Next 5" (right hand side) I'm not sure what pictures are still on the front page.

We had company last night, Fred's cousin who drives a truck. He was on his way to Laredo and should be back tonight to spend the night. Today's his (dh's cousin) birthday so i'm making him a cake.
This next month is looking like it's pretty full of dh family coming for visit. I may even get a visit from a "imaginary" friend soon Smiling Still praying that everything works out and we don't have company in town.

The house looks pretty good, guess the planets are inline or something but I'm keeping it pretty clean these days, homeschooling is also going well Smiling
(knock on wood/both things)

Well hope you all have a wonderful weekend. Smiling Jana, I'm working on a list I'll email you first of the week. Smiling

HEy Jamie Lea, now you've got me wondering. Jenny??

Well, TADA so far:
dw emptied
beds made
exercised
went to church to find it empty (no early service today) so we went to Starbucks instead!

Wal-Mart run

mopped two wood floors upstairs

laundry done and put away

went to work on my stairwell walls with the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser (if anyone has yet to buy one of these, please don't wait - they are fabulous - store brands are out now, much cheaper - like Target)

went bowling with DS9 and bowled a 109 - pretty good for me

tried to stick to my diet - my food diary is helping, because it is so darn depressing to input bad stuff

Now? maybe some scrapping or reading?? Not sure.
