Is anyone here besides Lynn and me taking part in the Knitting Olympics?
Lynn's mentioned the Knitting Olympics [1] a couple of times and what she's going to do. I will be participating as a member of Tîm Cymru [2] or Team Wales (I'm on the Frapper map--eek!). I will be knitting a pair of socks. I keep waffling about what kind of socks and yarn, right now I'm planning on doing one of the Folk Socks [3] patterns in Noro Silk Garden, #211 [4] on size 4-ish needles.
There are loads of Knitting Olympics Teams forming. There's The US Sock Team, Team Caffine, Team Merlot, Team Chocolate, Team Angstylvania, Team Goth (they knit with eyeliner) and so on.
Who's with us?
Since I plan to make a pair of socks, I am two-timing by taking part in the 2000 Socks! challenge [5] because 2006 is...(drumroll)...The Year of the Sock, apparently.
