my children's "humor"

We all like to think we're pretty funny in this family. DH and I are always first to break the tension in a group, or deflect compliments, or otherwise cope with adversity, with a joke. But as I see our genetic material in action I am wondering if I have been deluded about the quality of my sense of humor.
Item One:
DD2: Knock Knock
Me: Who's there?
DD2: Hinkey
Me: (with great anticipation and curiosity) Hinkey who?
DD2: (with great gusto, in a sharp burst) HA!!
Item Two:
[Background: Some of you know that my oldest daughter is unusually bright -- to the point that it is often challenging for her, us, and everyone else. I won't even get into the school issue, except that since she is an introvert and really hates that "How was school?" question. So she gets to give a number, on a scale from 1-10.]
Mom to bright child: How was school today?
Smart alec 6-year-old: Pi
Sadly, sometimes she really means it.
