Elaine's First Blog Ever
This is my first blog ever, so it should be interesting to see how it works. I just found this site, and am glad about it. I'm a new wife, homemaker and mother of a 5 year old stepdaughter. I'm trying to learn how to adjust to married life, household management, motherhood, and managing a chronic illness in a new environment where I have less time to myself to rest. I think I'll try organizing housework into a schedule, like I used to organize things when I worked outside the house. I just haven't figured it out yet because the laundry, toys, dinner planning, dishes, cleaning, helping with DD schoolwork, and still having time to visit my friends (which hasn't happened much yet) is pretty overwhelming. In my naivete', I thought it would be easier than working outside the home with a set schedule. Ha! Was I waaaay off base! I'm also trying to write wedding thank you notes and unpack from moving 4 months ago. I'm not actually complaining really, but just writing it down has made me realize why I feel stressed... because there is a lot to do, and a lot of changes in a short amount of time. So, I shouldn't feel bad about myself because I can't do it all in stride, and remain perky and cheerful all the time
Much less dress nicely, put on make up, do my hair and wear pearls like June Cleaver. If anyone else reads this blog, I guess I'm preaching to the choir, and have plenty of company. That's it for now. Now I'm going to post it and see how this blogging thing works.

Welcome Elaine
I have two (maybe one and a half now) chronic illnesses. You'll find lots of support here for that and getting yourself in order. We're not perfect but I think we do help each other.
