Two things that made me feel old this week
1. My left knee has been really painful for the last seven or so months, though only if I kneel on it, which made it easy to avoid going to the doctor. I just don't kneel anymore
Mum has been nagging me to go though, so at last I gave in and went to see him. Apparently I have crepitus, some kind of horrible grinding thing going on in there, and I had to have an xray today to determine the cause. The doctor said probably arthritis. I am 38!
2. I bought a Ruby Wedding card for friends of my parents. Bear in mind that Ruby is 40 years married...the checkout girl looked at the card and asked me 'is it your anniversary?' Once again - I AM 38!! I don't claim to look 25 anymore - but 60?? really? Those of you who have met me, come on, 'fess up...do I look 60? I really hope the girl just hadn't noticed it was a ruby anniversary card....

Don't worry Honey!
I've met you and I'd say you looked bang on thirty five, which, considering we last met about 18 months ago, makes you a winner
Put it down to stupidity in the shopgirl. She probably didn't even know what a Ruby anniversary was.
Bad luck on the knees though, the women on both sides of my family have arthritis and I dread it's arrival.
Zillah
LOL
I couldn't help but laugh, I'm sure the sales clerk just had no idea what "Ruby" meant. I've seen pictures of you, you look great! As far as the arthritis, my cousin had it at 19, it's not JUST an old person thing.
