One of Julie Morgenstern's key concepts is organize around the way you are, not the way you want to be; if you kick your shoes off at the door, that's where you should have some form of shoe organizer, for instance. That's why I like the idea of PocketMod so much. I can't use an organizer to save my life. I do everything on folded up bits of paper. So why not just GO with that? PocketMod allows you to create little foldable booklets on just about anything--directions, schedule, whatever.
Via the already invaluable Parent Hacks, where the suggestion is to make up a few PocketMods of dots and tic-tac-toe pages for kids to play with if you get stuck somewhere; just put them in your bag/pocket in case of emergencies.
