The Art of Homemaking

Well, I just finished reading a book whose 3rd edition was published back in 1964. It's been great!! It's called "The Art of Homemaking" and although I will not follow its advice word for word, I do appreciate it. Has anyone else read it?
It's fun to find out how homes were run, and realize just how much information was lost in merely one or two generations.

Haven't read it but think I
Haven't read it but think I heard of it. I did see a new book out at the local bookstore called Retro Housewife and it seems to depict the 1950's.
My favorite book
I loved this book. It is a bit outdated for my taste, but I so appreciated the way homemakers were what the world revolved around. It made me feel like my job was more important than the rest and that is an idea that is under attack in the world now days. I wish the entire world could read this book.
