Jenn, slow down. You're making me tired (and making me look bad!!!). LOL!
Susannah, I know, I'm a glutton for punishment. Well, the lady has no one else to watch her kids, and I have such a hard time saying no. She is dropping them off tonight on their way out of town (about 10 or so). She is driving out to California to pick up her oldest (who lives with her father) for a couple of weeks. She is still taking one of her kids (her youngest, he's 6), and I'm taking the two girls (ages 8 and 11).
So, since I have this company til Thursday morning, I'm debating on a trip to town today for extra groceries and errands (like taking care of my vacuum cleaner, or getting me a new one). I don't want to go to town while there here, that will completely fill my truck, and I don't relish taking 5 kids to town (sorry Susannah, nothing against you. I just don't wanna). But I haven't decided if I'll do that yet or not.
I've done my MR, except for starting the laundry. But I've:
*unloaded dishwasher
*put away hand washed dishes (that have sat out for days)
*made bed
*showered and dressed (but need to do hair and a face)
*emptied all trash and took to truck (three bags worth)
*hey, did you know there are counter tops in the kitchen?! they are ugly, but you can at least see them!!
*refilled and rebooted the water distiller (every little tada helps!)
Ok, time to get to work on other things. Not in a nesting mood. But I realized that my weight Friday was what it was when I delivered DD8. I'm so big that I'm tying my shoelaces on the sides. And if what I was with Chance is any indication, I'm going to be house sized when I deliver this one. I better do all I can before I cannot do it anymore!!
You are a saint Jenny! I had had it with 4 for the sleepover and one went home early!
Back from swimming and figuring out our week. I only work a half day tomorrow am, so that will help. We have some college students coming over soon - my kids have been part of a sibling research study and they have to watch some videos taken of them awhile ago and answer questions. Hopefully it will be short because I have a lot to do, including a trip to the city maybe.
well the wic appointment went well. The kids didnt kick up much of a fuss when the checked thier iron.I was glad for that. All told I think the vouchers they gave me for food will save us about 100 a month on juice milk and cheese and a few other various things. The part I liked best was that I get to talk to a nutritonist every 3 months for free.Im running behind though so I have to get on the ball and ds1.5 is cranky to boot.
GL with the xtra kiddies Jennye it should be wild. I try to avoid taking my 4 all at the same time when I can. I usually rotate taking one or two at a time.Crowd control in the stores is just easier that way.

Jenny, I'll say a prayer for ya with the x-tra kids.
Andrea, sorry about your yard sale but $70.00 isn't so bad, plus think of all the junk you got rid of
Jen, glad the kids were all good for your appointment today and hope you manage to get that nap.
We had a nice weekend. DH helped Trey build his volcano, now he just has to finish writing his report and fixing his display. I went to yard sales, got Savannah 2 cute little outfits and a very nice Fiesta poster from 1997, hand signed by the artist and professionally framed, very nice for $5.00. Also got Savannah a little activity table still in the original box unopened (sell for about $27.00 at Wal Mart) for $10.00.
Well speaking of Savannah, need to run.
Quick TADA (from this morning)
*unloaded dw
*started laundry
*put away a load of laundry
*washed the blinds in the front living room
*vacuumed the base boards in the front living room
*dusted front living room
Gotta run, hope to be back this afternoon with a little more TADA
See yall then.
JL
Jenny-those child guests are old enough to play with and keep an eye on your 3 so that's not too bad of a deal.
Jamielea-did Trey make the volcano outta plaster of paris and the lava with baking soda and vinegar,I think that's how we did it when my Ds was around that age. Fun.
Jennmommy-glad you got some help with WIC

Yeah I guess Jamie Lea, we can use the money on our vacation! My DS has done that volcano with his Grandma - fun!
Hi Heidi - you are so good about reading your paper! I'm serious - I'm really impressed that you can fit it in!
Jen - yes I'm glad you got the WIC straightened out - that sounds like a big help.
Well, my big TADA is I dropped the gar. sale leftovers at the Salvation Army, which is abouat 20 minutes from here. That feels SO good! I should do it more often!
Also, I did a Zone (DD's drawer), DH mopped floor, I exercised, and did laundry.
Went to town. Subway was SO GOOD!! LOL! Picked up vacuum, took to Sears repair shop, where it was going to cost at least $50 to look at it and would take a couple of weeks. I don't have time for that. So went to Sears, picked one out, and of course it was out of stock. Went to Walmart, saw nothing I really liked. Then Lowe's. Everything they had was either cheap or expensive, nothing in-between. They had a Dyson for $429. I saw it on sale at Sears for $399. Lowe's met the price and took an addition 10% off!! Cool!! So, I now have a Dyson. Can't wait to get it out and use it. After I rest for a bit. Tired with all the driving and pushing carts and stuff.
And would you believe that it looks like rain outside everywhere. So I pulled up the radar and sure enough, it's raining all AROUND us, except for on our fields and us. Is it because I ditched church yesterday? I mean, all the little cells are literally skirting us!! I ain't a-kiddin' ya!!
Well, I think I'll call my mommy and tell her about my day. While I prepare for the other imps to get here.
Sounds like everyone is keeping very busy this summer. We enjoyed our trip to Texas (lucky to be out before the hurricane hit). DD19's trip to Florida was originally post poned and now has been cancelled because of the hurricane. She was so devasted. It was to be 3 weeks with some pay and getting to know the air force. Instead, she will be heading to Gulfport MS, with us in the morning. DH has summer camp with the air national guard and they have encouraged families to come along. We will be in Gulfport for a week (hope to make a side trip to New Orleans), then drive up to Columbus MS and drop the kids with my mother and her husband. Let them stay 5 or 6 days, then drive back to pick them up.
The last week before school I have signed DS14 up for sailing lessons. It will be on the Ohio River???
We take DD19 back to Purdue on the 15th and DS14 starts high school on the 17th. What a quick summer.
I guess I'll wait til things settle down before I sign back up for my Flylady emails. I'm not sure what week it is or the daily mission. I just know I'd better get off the computer and make sure all perishables are out of the fridge and everything looks tidy for our departure tomorrow.
It's good to hear from you. You sound busy and well-traveled.
Jenny, my weight has hopped up in the last two weeks or so also. I guess our babies are in sync with one another. Anyhow, I'm glad you got a good vacuum cleaner.
Andrea, when my parents were in grad school, I was three. They kept us in peanut butter and jelly by renting me out to researchers at the university. I don't remember it, but apparently they tested how many times I obeyed my parents when told to do something.
Jenn, I forget, did you know Cyndi who used to post here? She was on WIC for a while and had ulcerative colitis-- anyhow, she said the WIC nutritionist was very helpful, so if you have any questions about your DH's diet your nutritionist might be able to answer them.
Jamie, great yard saling score!
Heidi, what does your new haircut look like?
Yesterday's TADA:
-much decluttering
-baked cookies and brownies (see above comment re weight gain!)
-studied for exam
-took out trash
Today's TADA:
-took exam
-paid bills
-finally sent a condolence letter to our late friend's widow
It's only a little after 7 so I might manage a load of laundry before bed, I hope.
Well its like 2:40 am and I have insomnia. I doubt its from my little nap as I didnt get much sleep the night before but it serves a good purpose. I have been cleaning all night. Its kinda easy this way with the kids all asleep but the big thing is its been so hot and humid here. Its in the 100s with the heat index adding major numbers and the humidity is just horrible. The ac cant keep up and I cant even think of running the dryer.Tommorows weather is supposed to be even more hot and humid then the last few days.Could be more nesting too.
Tadas:
took kids to library
dinner
spotless kitchen(floors and all)
picked up LR
got all laundry from both Bathrooms washed
dishes all done
took out trash(bleached trash can)
I want to sleep but I just have so much energy for a change I cant decide if I should use it all up or see if it keeps till morning.
Jenny, I'm so glad you got a Dyson! I LOVE mine! We got it a year ago when we got our Corgi - we needed it to cope with all the shedding and also for DS8's allergies. It is so powerful - it's amazing all the fine dust we get out of our carpets. I also use it on my Pergo floor in the kitchen and entryway instead of sweeping. The furniture attachment works great too! Can you tell I love my Dyson?! Jackie has the purple one, remember? Barney? It is actually fun to see all the crap you can get out of your carpet and furniture!
Jen, wow! I can't believe you were up at that hour!
Great to see you Susan! You guys have quite the busy summer, don't you?
Well, I'm at work so must run - I'm only here in the am, so not sure what I'll get done this afternoon.
I finally woke up this morning with some energy! Yippee!
Now, I seriously need to harness it and get stuff done. Somehow I managed to piddle away the day yesterday and really didn't get anything visible accomplished.
TADA-yesterday

DS14 is home and in an ugly mood. Sigh. After having been in Nashville with his very-well-off Aunt for the last 10 days he has decided that we are losers because we don't have a T-1 connection, digital cable, TiVo, central air conditioning, a computer for each memebr of the family, etc. He is already complaining that there is nothing to do. Sigh again.
Jenny, I love subway, yum! And I would love a dyson too, but really can't justify it with only 3 little bedroom carpets to vacuum. Have fun with it!
Jenn, the humidity kills me too. I just get so sick feeling and lethargic. Yuck, and it's so much worse when you are pregnant. I feel for you, I hope you can keep coom today.
How are you girls? We are hanging in there, I worked my 3 days which were rough but its over. Now no work again until next Monday!! Woohoo!!
Jenny you will love love love your dyson. I still am in love with mine. Great job on the price too. I got my for my anniversary- how romantic but I think we paid $450. Worth every single dollar. Enjoy
Jenn, I hope you got some rest. Glad you got a burst of crazy eenergy but take care of yourself too OK?
Jamielea, Glad you found some good stuff at the garage sales. Alexa has a leap start activity table and she loves it. She also loves her Incrediblock thing. That will keep her busy for like 10 minutes instead of 10 seconds
Andrea, that sounds cool about the research your kids are part of.
Ok I have a big secret I have to tell you guys but we haven't told anyone yet- I am pregnant!!! I am so so so excited!! I can't wait to be a Mommy again and for Alexa to be a big sister. I just found out Sunday and I am floating since then. With Alexa we found out a lot later (denial?? lol..) so now its so hard to not tell our family and friends but I guess I think its better to wait. But its so hard not to just yell it out!!! So thanks for letting me share my happy news with you girls
Ok heres a quick tada and poda:
~finish the thankyous. Are you as sick as I am of hearing this yet??
~fold laundry
~vacuum
~girls from work coming over for chinese for lunch
~ran dishwasher
~washed last nights pots dh left me
~gave Alexa breakfast and a bath
~walked 1 mile this am
Thats about all. Have a great day Hugs and kisses Jackie
Let's just see how it goes! LOL! Finally got them all to bed and quiet by 11:30. The new girls aren't used to the night sounds here, had a hard time in a new place.
Jo, scrubbing shower floor is a big TADA! Don't beat yourself up over it. Poor DS. You guys lead such a deprived life. Tell him to get over it! LOL! Guess he could go get a job so he can pay for the "finer things in life". LOL! But I have to admit, he has a point with the central AC. My inlaws house just has the evap.cooler in one room and it's horribly hot over there!! I hate to leave my MIL, but it's just so much more comfy at MY house. But up where you are, the ac probably doesn't have to be used for long. Actually, what we have is a heat pump, so it's both an AC for summer and heater for winter.
Jenn, if you didn't get any last night, maybe you'll have time for a nap today. Stay cool, aren't you in NC?
Andrea, I like the hard floor thing for the vacuum. I hate sweeping. Chance seems to think the pile I have swept is for him to run thru.
My legs have been sore the past few days. Not sure why, but I just didn't want to get out of bed this morning. But, DH is out of socks. What happened to all those extra ones I had hidden in another drawer? Well, that's one of my PODAs today, more laundry. Lots of laundry.
*And vacuuming.
*And picking up and sorting toys (would love to pick the baby things out of the toy box and other areas so I can keep them in a basket under the crib)
*And maybe a little gardening, since the high today is only supposed to be 84 (and 73 tomorrow. Very unusual, but it's supposed to bring rain, too.)
*and mop the kitchen, because Chance spilt juice and it's all sticky now
*box up baby girl clothes in new boxes and put somewhere else.
*I got plastic magazine keeper things I want to put DH's Playboys in. Ugh. I HATE it that he has those, but if I throw just one away, he knows it and gets really mad. Well, as long as they stay in the bathroom. And now that I've gotten the shelf of the closet in the bathroom cleaned out from the baby clothes boxes, there is room for those up there.
Hopefully, I'll at least get these done. Hopefully, MORE!! And hopefully, with one of the girls being 11, she can keep an eye out for Chance and I might can take a NAP!!
Jackie, you posted as I was typing!!
How exciting!! Glad you shared with us!!!
I could never keep mine a secret. I always knew as soon as my home tests came out, and usually had it confirmed that day at the drs. I just can't keep a secret, good thing I don't know your family! LOL!
Now, go get you a ticker like mine and Becky's and Jenn's.
Jenny
What wonderful news!
JennyE - you are a brave brave woman.
Jo - tell your son that "adversity" aka not having T1, Central Air, etc, builds character and cultivates ambition. And if he's bored, he can try this engineering student's project to build his own AC
Today, we're getting ready for our trip to Lancaster, PA, so I'm applying Flylady's packing/prepping guidelines. So far, so good.
Hope everyone has a great week. I'm sending cool vibes to all the pregger flybabies, especially those of you in the heat wave zone!
Rose
I'm so excited for you, I'm like Jenny, can't keep a secret to save my life.
Rose, I thought of you yesterday. I was trying to get Savannah to sleep and I noticed a weird looking shadow on my curtains, first thing I thought... BAT. It turned out to be just a shadow Thank God.
Hi Susan, glad to hear your enjoying your summer.
Trey and I watched the shuttle take off this morning, he was so excited, kept saying "Mama, pinch me, is this a dream?"
Had some more tada's last night but didn't get a chance to post. Here's today's PODA
*unload dw
*clean off table (went to bed with a cluttered DR table, bad flybaby)
*iron DH's work shirts, LOTS of them
*zone work
*Home School
*clean patio
Oh, one TADA from yesterday I want to share. I bought some very nice lamps about a year ago at a yard sale, paid $1.00 a piece for the two. There very nice lamps, probably about $40.00 a piece in a store, they have a gold/brass looking base and then the globe is cut crystal looking. The base was tarnished and even had a little rust. I FIANALLY took them apart and painted the base with a flat gold paint, they look new $80.00 worth of lamp that ended up costing me about $4.00 (including the paint)
Funny story. The lamps had been sitting in the front living room for the last year I had picture frames in front of them to cover the yucky looking base. Anyway DH comes in while I'm painting them so I'm telling him how I only paid $2.00 for them (NOT the first time he's heard this, told him a year before when I bought them) and "don't they look good” He says.... "Yea there nice where you gona put em'?" Men! I told him I guess I’ll put them back in the big empty space in the front room where they've been for the last year! I swear if I think I could paint the entire house a different color and I don't think he'd notice!
Jackie, that is so great!!! Congratulations! As soon as I saw all the congrats I knew. I remember you had mentioned the possibility previously. It is hard to believe all the pregnancies around here!
Jamie Lea - funny about your DH! What a steal on those lamps.
Did I tell ya what DD6 said the other day? Friday, just me and the girls went to the mall before my dr. appt (Chance was hauling hay with daddy). I had a gift certificate to Bath and Body Works, or else I usually don't even go to our poor excuse for a mall. Anyway, the door we went in has recruiting offices for all four branches of the service. I told DD6, why don't we sign you guys up for the Army? To which she very dramatically replied, "Nooooo!!! I'm to YOUNG to die!!!!". It was very cute!!
Just wanted to share that I updated my website. Just the baby page. Got my ultrasound pictures up, in case you wanted a peek. http://www.jandjessary.com/essarybaby4
Becky-my hairstyle is basically the same just trimmed up a bit. It's mid neck legnth and kinda flips out at the sides, pretty common style out these days, you've seen it or have it!!

Andrea-I need my daily dose of news so I know what's going on out in the big bad world!
Sooo hot here don't wanna move but gotta.
Our local bookstore had a kids art program today where the kids made flubber and playdoh etc, cool
Hey, at least I ate SOMETHING. We're probably going out for ice cream later today too.
Jenn, I've been a lot more energetic lately too. Maybe it is a nesting thing after all.
Andrea, I want to borrow your Dyson! Our vacuum cleaner needs to be repaired.
Jo, I lived in Virginia, Georgia, and Taiwan for most of my childhood, so when I spent my first summer in Massachusetts I had to have it explained to me that a/c is considered a luxury up north! Show your DS Jenn's post so he sees why it's a necessity in Tennessee but not in Maine. (Also Tennessee has a lower cost of living than Maine, last I checked.)
Congratulations Jackie! Come join us on the dark side.
Your webpage looks great Jenny.
Have a good trip Rose!
That is a very funny story Jamie.
Welcome home from work Andrea!
Heidi, okay, I have long hair but I can picture yours.
It's almost noon and I've gotten dressed but that's about it.
PODA:
-laundry, REALLY this time
-go to the vet and see about getting some prescription cat food there
-call and make a dentist appointment
-homework
-write some household business-type letters
Another baby! Babies are a very, very good thing. Way to go, Jackie!! (And Jackie's DH, of course.) I guess we'll be due not far away from each other.
Jenny, you're doing a fine job with all those kiddos in your house. And I ate Subway on Monday too. I got DH a 6-inch sub and he said, "Sweetie, you don't understand. It was very good, but a 6-inch sub is merely an appetizer for a man." I should have known that. Duh.
Jenn, I will pray for the weather to break, you poor thing.
I used to be on WIC and gave it up out of pure stubbornness. It did really help the grocery bill (we drink tons of milk and milk isn't cheap), but I'm so darn obstinate. I guess I got tired of messing with coupons, not to mention carting all the kids down there for stuff their ped. already did for them. (Not all the kids were on WIC, but we all have to go to appointments together.) I didn't like their being weighed and poked unnecessarily. We didn't see a nutritionist, but a nurse. And she kept giving me handouts with apologies: "I know you already know this...."--glancing at my five children. She was very sweet, but it was all so superfluous. So many unnecessary hoops to jump through for a bit of free milk and juice. (I always had too many eggs and dried beans and not enough milk and juice.) Also, I BF. If I had a babe on formula I would probably go back on it purely for that. Formula's expensive!
Still, sometimes when I'm paying $3 a gallon for milk, 6 gallons a week, I'm tempted to get back on it.
Yesterday, I sat with DH while he applied for jobs online. So there's a TA DA. He doesn't like to do that alone, even though I'm not much practical use. We found some openings at colleges for fall 2006 to apply for, and he was encouraged by that. All we need is something to get us through for a year, and maybe he can teach again. We seem to be aiming in the direction of IT jobs.
I have done nothing at all today but read, talk to DH, and settle disputes among the children. I honestly don't know what to do about their fighting. Sometimes I confiscate the toy they are fighting over and tell them people are more important than things. I don't think it gets through to them, though.
Needless to say, "PODA: Clean up the whole house, plus laundry" would be a serious understatement.
But, I have read all the way to the end of War & Peace, with the exception of the final epilogue, which looks boring as heck, yet which I intend to read anyway just so I can know in my soul I FINISHED the darn thing. I liked the characters, and the first epilogue was interesting because it was about their married lives. The final epilogue looks more philosophical.
So, PODA:
*Dig something up for supper
*Clean kitchen while it's cooking. Speaking of sticky floors, there's a dried-up puddle of koolaid under Elias's chair.
I'm not going to worry about the house much until tomorrow.
We went to the library today, checked out a couple books and a DVD all about volcanoes. That and some reading were about the extent of school today. What can I say, its summer and it's HOT.
TADA
*Morning routine
*zone work (done in the front living room)
*cleaned the patio
*One load laundry
*ironed 3 shirts, 2 pair of pants (need to do some more tomorrow)
*went to the library/Homeschooled
*watched Volcano DVD with Trey
*spiffied in the family room, vacuumed
*swept kitchen (need to mop tomorrow)
*helped Trey de-clutter his Power Ranger box (he gave 3 action figures, a movie, and a PR mask away to a little boy who's mom was looking for PR stuff on Freecycle he's so sweet)
Well I guess I'm heading to bed, my dw's loaded and the LR floor is picked up.
TADA:
*fixed a good lunch (egg and tuna salad sandwiches) and a good dinner (speghetti) for the kids. Seems these kids are used to fast food, frozen meals, and cereal for dinner.
*cleaned up after BOTH meals!!
*transferred 9 cardboard boxes of the clothes to 4 plastic bins, moved to garage (but still have 9 empty boxes in my room)
*washed, dried, folded AND put away 5 loads of laundry
*put away the dreadful Playboys in the magazine bins I bought.
I got the kids to clean up for the most part. Wouldn't let them eat any meal til it was done. I'm mean! LOL! They are watching The Parent Trap (original one) with popcorn in the girls' room. Been a fairly peaceful night (except when Chance would barge in on them).
Biggest TADA: I'm still alive and the house is still standing.
cya in the morning!
I just joined the FlyLady mailing list today and read over the website. Most "keep your house clean" themed things tend to p*** me off if you know what I mean. I have a rebellious spirit, and reading things like "Wouldn't it be embarrassing for your guests to see dust all over your photos?" just makes me yell at the computer "I WOULDNT HAVE A FRIEND WHO WOULD GET PICKY ABOUT SOME STUPID DUST!"
But then I went to the FlyLady website and saw the CHAOS - Can't Have Anyone Over Syndrome thing and laughed hysterically. It made me feel understood. I loved the tip about getting dressed to the shoes. I had always noticed that I did a better day's work while fully dressed, just never convinced myself to do it on a daily basis.
So now I'm going to commit myself to getting order and cleanliness to be a daily routine in my home.
Nobody tell my mother in law (she'd enjoy it too much).
The first thing I noticed, is that I've got about 7 hot zones. Does anyone else have this many? I have an entire room full of junk that doesn't fit in our minimal storage space (we really don't have any cupboards in the house besides closets and dish cabinets), a chair full of laundry, another chair full of laundry, a table full of mail and books and notepads, the top of the refridgerator covered in diapering tools and things I take with me to town, part of the kitchen counter devoted to... everything else.. should I go on?
Does anyone else have this many hot zones?? oy. Baby steps.
Today's TADA:
made huge pancake breakfast for family
washed dishes
two loads laundry
washed bathroom floor
-Heather
It takes more courage to enter marriage than it does to enter the field of battle.
-Queen Katherine of Sweden
We are so excited. I still cant believe it. I am not good at secrets usually either, but I think we should wait at least until I am like 8 weeks. So whats up with my belly sticking out already?? I know you show faster with the second but how the heck am I going to keep it a secret when I look like this already??
Dh is off today so not much going on. Food shopping, visit inlaws, relax. Maybe fix a nice dinner.
Just wanted to say hi and thankyou for all your happy posts. Have a great day and see you tomorrow. But first I have to post this:
I finished the Thankyous!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now if I would just mail them :) Bye Love Jack
We do need it though, and the next four days are supposed to be beautiful, so I'm not complaining.
OK, today I have to get the business plan done and delivered to our banker. Tomorrow I have to go to Home Depot and get two windows and a toilet. I also have to go to Costco and get a birthday cake. All my sibs will be here tomorrow afternoon, and since 7 of the 20 of us in my immidiate family have birthdays in July we have a big group party. I am so excited to see my sisters from Chicago and WI! I really miss them.
Friday we leave to the campground for our family reunion, and we will be there until Monday, so I also need to get stuff ready for that. We have to bring my SIL's camper there for the out-of-state sisters, so there is quite a bit of organizing that goes along with that as well.
TADA

You guys crack me up with the great responses for DS14's spoiled little butt! He had a friend over and they spent the day riding their bikes to beautiful fishing holes. I pointed out to him that he couldn't do that in Nashville, and he laughed, so maybe he is over it. Rose, I e-mailed that link to him with a snarky comment. Thanks!
Jackie, congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!You guys are scaring me. DH never went back to confirm his vasectomy took. Yikes! I know Jamielea, don't even say it.
Susannah, I'm praying for DH in his job search.
Jenny, you are doing GREAT with all those kiddos! You have the patience of a saint woman!
Heather, Welcome!!! I hope you find what you are looking for with Flylady. My house still isn't perfect, but it's better. It's much better if I stick to it wholeheartedly, rather than just halfway that I've been doing lately. But any little bit helps. I have several Hot Spots, too, I've really got to work on those. Just remember what Flylady says, Baby steps!!
Jackie, I seemed to start showing sooner and sooner with each kid. More than likely noone is noticing it but you (ya know, we always can tell when we have put on a pound or two!!).
We finally got some rain last night! DH is out checking the rain gauges, but I'm guessing we got less than 1/2 an inch by the puddles. Well, every little bit helps. No other rain in the forecast for the next 10 days, but at least today the high is only supposed to be 80 (90's the rest of the week).
I'm going to make the kids pancakes for breakfast this morning, once they all wake up. I'll let you know if I survive Day 2 with the five of them! LOL! I also want to:
*take care of those boxes
*vacuum

DS is really enjoying CSI camp. they are doing fingerprint analysis, crime dogs came in,today they go to museum to see genetics exhibit, etc, pretty cool stuff.
Rainy here too,but at least the AC is off and the windows are finally all open for fresh cooler air.
Jenny-I bet the girls are appreciating all that you are exposing them to,good job.
Jamielea-I think we have a similar volcano movie at our library too,did you take pix of Trey's final project?
Andrea-what paint emergency? Hope it didn't involve kids and paint, yikes.
Actually it did Heidi! DD6 had a friend over (I do a swap with them once a week - our kids match up). Anyway, they had spilled a couple of big globs of green glitter glue on the family room carpet, which is a tannish berber. Anyway, DH hollered up so I had to go clean it. It actually came up pretty well.
I'm starting to think about planning and packing for our trip - a week from Friday. Printed out Flylady stuff.
Kids are back at their own homes now - I actually finished most of my PODA, may lie down for a nap.
I found Miss. Savannah STANDING on the bottom stair today. Time to put up the gate downstairs. Did I tell yall she's walking? Still real unsure of herself but she'll go for about 5 or 6 steps at a time. She's such a cutie.
Heidi, I don't have pictures of the finsihed project yet, I have some of him working on the volcano but he still hasen't finsihed his board yet. I'll get some and post them soon. That camp sounds neat, Trey would love it.

Actually it came up pretty well Jamie Lea! Though I do need to give the whole room a good cleaning with the Bissell. I didn't know Savannah was walking, how cute is that?! You've gotta post more pictures of her! And yes I did get a short nap - 15 minutes or so, that's all I need.
DS8 is at a friend's birthday party - a cap gun war! All boys of course! DH made a nice salmon dinner with spinach and rice pilaf. DD and I are just relaxing now - I did her nails - she is into the stage of wanting 3 different colors! Puleeeze! Ahhhh, I know I should enjoy it while it lasts.
Guys I can hardly keep up with you! A couple of days off and I can hardly read through.
Congrats to Jackie! Yay! I know you were thinking about it . . .
I can't believe Savannah's walking! I think we need a "family update" thread -- everybody quick post how old their kids are now, what they're doing lately, who's gone back to work, who's quit, who's in school, who's done with school, which husbands are away, who's due when with which baby . . .
Anyway, DH is watching The Thin Red Line (war movie) tonight. He started it last night when I had lots of work to do, but he didn't finish so now here I am, having arranged my day to hang out with him, and he's watching this movie that I've missed half of and couldn't follow if I wanted to! Guess I have a little time to be long winded, eh?
We are barely staying on top of the clutter -- probably what I should do tonight, hmm?
Well, instead I might make a quick Target run for big envelopes for sorting the absurd amount of paper all over my house.
Shaun, I couldn't get into The Thin Red Line. And I usually like war movies. I started McClintock (John Wayne) last night, may finish it later. Very funny, if you haven't seen it, you really should. "Good party, but no whiskey. We go".
Wow, Savannah is walking!! Cool!!
Well, plans shattered again. DH called from Clovis. He had taken the semi up there for repairs, they didn't have the parts in, so I had to load up all 5 kids and drive the almost hour up there to pick him up. Which meant on the way back, I had to be illegal: had to put two of the kids in one seat belt. I hated that!! At least I have tinted windows in the back so no one could see.
Anyway, that took up a chunk of the day. I did get two rows weeded in the garden (and they were really bad. Not as bad as the one I want to tackle next). Got the pizza made, and even cleaned it all up afterwards!! Wow!! LOL!
Got the stinkin business plan done but not delivered. It's 18 pages long not counting the financial copies in the appendix. It was really hard to write because we aren't really a start-up, but because of the fire we are. Confusing.

Andrea, I'm glad the paint came up ok.
Jenny, you sound pretty relaxed. I salute you. In your place I think I might be heavy into the margaritas.
Jamielea, that's cool about Savannah walking, but kinda sad too. I think of her as a tiny baby, and she's not.
Hi Shaun!
It is 11:30 and I should have been in bed long ago, so I'm off!

I am reading the Kite Runner. Anyone else read it? Excellent book.
Oh Heidi, yes I read that! It is a great book and so well-written. It was for our book club. Tragic, of course. I am now into reading Jodi Picoult novels - I've only read one, My Sister's Keeper. I bet you would like those too. I bought two more for our vacation.
Back from swimming and trying to work on my PODA, but kids are bored!
Its been a long morning and a very long night. Alexa is getting her bottom molars so she was up from 2am to 5am. I think its someone's way of reminding me how hard it is to function without sleep So after a long struggle to get her down for a npa now that is what I am going to do.
So now much of a tada and my only poda is to take a nap.
Quick waves to everyone and hope you have a great day. Jamielea isnt it so cute to see them wobbling along? Is she a climber like Alexa?? And Alexa doesn't walk, she runs. Real fast. She learned how to climb up the stairs real young- she has somewhat learned she can only SIT on the bottom step if we are at someone's house without a gate. Until I turn around and then she is up like lightning!! Yesterday I found her in my Mil's formal livingroom picking up some Lladros (sp?). And Dh was supposed to be watching. I told him he would be paying her from his ebay fund if Alexa broke anything :)
OK I am seeing double now. Gotta sleep. Love Jack
You know yall are my best friends My friends in real life couldn't care less that Savannah's walking. Jo it is a little sad, but I'm trying not to think to much about that, she's my last and she's growing up so fast
Jackie, Savannah is a climber! She's into everything. And I thought boys were bad!

Jo, believe me, if I wasn't pregnant, I would have killed that bucket of already made Margaritas that's in my freezer!! LOL! In the meantime, it's going to sit and wait til November for me. Wonder if I can sneak it into the hospital...
Jamie Lea, is your house still standing?
We have been in town all day. Morning started off to a great start when I called the mom of the girls and we couldn't get ahold of her at home OR on cell (she was supposed to get in real late last night or early this morning). I told her I had an appointment in town at 10 this morning. Luckily, she called a few minutes later, very sleepy, said they were home. So we had to pile all the kids into the truck again and drop those two off. Time for their mom to deal with them again. They weren't bad, I just wanted only my kids for a while, no extras.
We got to town, signed papers on the new land we are buying, took DH for a physical (for his CDL license. Perfectly healthy except for weight. But the doc told him he was glad he was on weight watchers, he had very low blood pressure, which was good. Also told him that while he is overweight, that he is tall, extremely large boned and lots of dense muscle. He doesn't want him to be below 260, and that 270 would be an ideal weight for him. Tell that to the life insurance companies that won't cover him.
Anyway, lunch in town, couple other errands, and home. I'm tired, going to sit back with a TALL glass of very cold ice water and rest for a while.
(And Jamie says "No, no, no!" ) I cannot believe how time has passed!
Jenny, my DH is rather short for a guy and 185-ish lbs., yet so much of it seems to be pure muscle. He could probably break me in half if he wanted to, he's that strong, and really buff in the arms. But I guess 185 is a lot of weight for a guy that short according to the "charts." Well, phooey on the charts. He used to be 130 lbs., in the first years of our marriage, can you imagine? People used to ask him if he was sick. I weighed more than he did toward the end of my first pregnancy. I like him this way.
Okay, okay, so I don't have a TA DA. Well, actually, I do. I folded several loads of laundry today and put them ALL AWAY! Pat me on the back, yes, yes. I also deposited a check, mailed a resume for DH, and got milk, watermelon, ice cream and other summer treats at the grocery store. And made strawberry popsicles. And actually got the meals on time, although I'm neglecting bedtime in order to post right now. First "normal" day I've had in a while. I think having DH around throws me off. But it's not really his fault, I need to "just do it."
I'm thinking about this "noise fast" for the month of August. I don't know if I can do it. Hmmmm.
Oh, I got the medicaid card, so I guess I can go see a doctor now. PODA: Make dr. appt.
Thanks for your prayers regarding a job, y'all. It means a lot to me!
Next week we have a specialist appointment for Elias, who is still soiling, poor kid. The following day is a dentist appointment for the four older children. Should be a fun week.
Jenny, congrats on getting through with five!!
Better go get moving toward bedtime. Once they are in bed, I'm treating myself to some ice cream.
You had a great day Susannah - got a lot done. Hope you got your treat at the end of it.
What was Trey exploding Jamie Lea?
Jenny, that bites that your DH can't get life insurance.
Well, today is our last swimming lesson. I have to say that I am very proud of my kiddos - DS8 is in Level 4 and DD6 is in Level 3. I think they are both the youngest kids in their classes. DS has been challenged immensely, but is about in the middle of the class has far as his swimming ability. He has vacillated between being very proud of himself and very stressed. It's been a rough 2 weeks, especially this one. DD6 has loved it! She's doing the crawl across the deep end of the college pool (14 feet deep!), breathing right and everything! Ok, done bragging.
I have a short PODA today because we are going to the city for an eye appt. for me and to pick up some stuff for our vacation.
Susannah, isn't nice to have "normal" days!!?? Way to go on the laundry. I did that the other day too, and it felt GOOD!!!
I know what you mean about the height thing. Really throws those so called charts off. My dh is 6'4". The insurance company says he has to be 240. Well, we CAN get the insurance, but it will either cost twice as much, or only be for half as much.
Andrea, wow! I'M impressed with your kids! My 8 and 6 just completed Level I, but yours are on 3 and 4!!
I have one TADA from yesterday:
*picked up the living room (well, I take a laundry basket, but everything in there that doesn't belong, which seems to be only the kids' stuff, and make the kids put away) and vacuumed it with the new Dyson. Again, amazed at the dirt it got. More than Monday, and still only did the living room/dining room.
Had a hard time sleeping last night. Ended up in DS2's bed (a small tiff. I told DH it was me or DS2. He chose DS2. I decided I didn't want a baby kicking me in the stomach AND the back, so I left. DH feels bad this morning. hehehe). Got tons of ideas while I was lying in there (seething, so I couldn't sleep) of how to move some furniture around, so I may try some of those today. But I supposed I REALLY need to get the girls' room back into good shape. And the office. That is where I think I'll spend my energy. I need to fix up my scrapbook area in the office, plus a toy area, plus I think a TV area, just for the kids to watch movies with their beanbag chairs. And my main desk (in the LR) is just horrible. Need to call the bank and transfer some money from operating account to checking ($2,000 for repairs on the semi. ouch).
Ok, I'll come back later and maybe have some TADA to show.
The "explosion" was volcano related, and was NOT done outside like I told him. BOYS!
We've still got some last minute stuff to do to the board for the science fair. I also need to run to the $ store for a funnel, some more vinegar and some more bakeing soda.
Need to spiffy the house and do a load of laundry.
See yall in a bit.
JL
Been working on the girls' room. I've done under the bed and in the closet. OMG. I believe having these friends over has taught them to shove everything in there. Prized possessions I have found stashed in the bottom and back of the closet. I asked how all this stuff got in there, and the reply was Jesseca (the older of the girls that were here).
Needless to say, I'm upset. Not only that, but I haven't heard a WORD from the mom. I emailed her yesterday afternoon to let her know that the girls were good, no problems out of them, and I hope they had a good time. She usually checks her email religiously. I haven't heard anything, not a thank you, NOTHING! I can't believe how ungrateful it seems that she is. I sure hope she doesn't ask me to watch them when she takes her daughter back to California. Maybe I'm over-reacting, maybe it's just pregnancy hormones.
Anyway, back to the task at hand. I've took out three walmart bags of trash (mostly just papers) from under the bed and closet. Still left to tackle: bookshelf, two dressers and the desk (yikes! the desk!!!).
That is a big bummer Jenny! She owes you big time! Oh, and don't be so impressed - neither of my kids passed their level!!! Only 2 out of 7 passed in the Level 4 class and I'm not sure how many in Level 3 - I think DD and one other did not pass. Darn! They were bummed - it is a bummer to end this way, but I know they learned a lot. And I realize they can't just hand these cards out. so they will have to take these levels over to pass them - it's the strokes like the breaststroke and butterfly that are tripping them up. They have to swim 25 yards for most of the strokes to pass.
After that we spent the day in the city and got quite a bit done, including my 1-mont lasik checkup.
Off for dinner with friends - yay we're going out!
I hope you get a gift certificate or something. Or at least a thank-you note.
I haven't done much today. Folded a load of clothes, put away downstairs stuff, didn't put away upstairs, Emma's now unfolded them.
Made two doctors appointments. Me for OB and J.D. for knees. Hee hee!
DH had a migraine so he had shots at the dr. today. Expensive, as no insurance coverage. Oh well. The first shot didn't take; good thing he went back today, they didn't charge extra for the visit, just $14 apiece for the shots.
I freecycled the chest freezer and someone should be coming momentarily to pick it up. DH's head is better and he's out mowing the lawn.
I made a grocery list based on Saving Dinner. I need something good to eat. If DH comes in soon enough, I will go to Wal-Mart alone. Still need to feed kiddos. Don't know what, though. Pancakes, I think.
Another TA DA: applied for another job online. I sure hope we start hearing from these openings soon. DH has to go to some DOL meeting/seminar thingie next week, so I guess it's good he has a folder full of leads to take with him. Really, we ARE looking!
Oh, sheets are on to dry. I might actually sleep on sheets tonight! LOL! Had to put emergency sheets down last night 'cause I forgot to dry mine.
I invited a little friend over tomorrow afternoon. Don't know what I'll do with her, but I have her for two hours. DD9 has been begging for her to come over. I guess they'll entertain each other. I hope the weather's good for yard saling in the morning.
I got the girls room all clean yesterday. Well, still have some to do on top of the desk, but underneath it was so bad you couldn't put your feet under it!! It took me all day in there, even fixed the ceiling fan and a couple screws that were loose or lost on the bunkbed. It's nice and clean in there, and you should have SEEN all the dirt that the Dyson picked up!! Ewwww!!!
But by the time I was done with that (plus gave baths, Chance needed two, one to wake him up from his nap and one after he ate spaghetti, and picked up Chance's room), I was just too give out to do anything else. My legs have been really sore this pregnancy, like in my upper thighs, and of course the sciatica.
I'm making a broccoli casserole right now to take to MIL's other family reunion that is today. And that is where I'll be. Most of the day. Reunioning. LOL! Not really thrilled about this one. Dh is trying to get out of it by plowing, but we are making him come in for lunch. It's HIS family!! He is in a little tiff with SIL (regarding our two boys running around like banshees at last weeks reunion). But he'll get over it. LOL! Anyway, got that today, then baseball game to watch tonight, since it's ACTUALLY on TBS for a change (so is tomorrows, but I'll miss it due to adminstrative board meeting at church).
BTW, I finally got an email yesterday afternoon thanking me.
I realized I've been posting on TNH but not Flybabies for the last couple of days. Oops. Well anyway, I've been reading along but I only really had one comment-- for Jenny, have you actually tried giving a doctor's note about your DH's weight to the insurance company? You might be able to bargain them down a little after all.
Everything here has been gearing up for DH's trip to Scotland with his show, so other than school that's what I've been working on. My mother is going to stay with me for the time that he is gone, with some overlapping: she gets here tomorrow night, DH leaves Monday morning, then DH comes back on the 8th and Mom stays until the 13th or so.
PODA:
-wash whatever clothes DH wants to take that are not yet washed
-go to Target, get him toothpaste and stuff for the trip
-finish helping him pack
-homework
I did get to one indoor yard sale at a church. It was too drizzly for sales today, I guess. I got a maternity outfit, a dress that I thought might do, and some tupperware popsicle molds for $1.50. And free bagels. (They were giving away bread.) The dress isn't going to work out, but that's not bad for $1.50.
Then I went consignment shopping and found a denim maternity jumper and burgundy (!!) maternity jeans for $4. Okay, not exactly stylin' but can be improved with the right tops.
Then I came home and straightened, vacuumed, swept and mopt before our little visitor arrived. She was here two hours. Then, I paid the bills. Just entered amounts in budget in Excel. The electric bill was . LOL!
The freezer's gone now, so the house has lost some weight. I did a bit of weeding next to the house and around the mailbox, and DH mowed. It looks a bit better out there.
I think that's it! I'm about to go list some homeschool stuff for families who are financially strapped with TOS magazine.
How are you girls?? I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. We have had a nice quiet one so far. I had my old partner from work over Friday with her 7 week old baby girl. We had fun catching up. Dh and I took Alexa and the girl next door to the tuna tournament at the dock yesterday. Was funa dn we got some great tuna steaks. We finally had a yummy homecooked meal last night. I have been so so bad about cooking. I make the menus and never stick to them. Dh is working today but is meeting me at dsil and Dbil's house for our nieces bday party. Should be fun and we get to see our otherr dsil's 3 week baby boy.
Jenny I hope your friend finally called to thank you. I guess I get really annoyed because I can rarely leave Alexa, so I guess I think everyone should be so grateful when they have someone as helpful as you to keep their kids over night.
Go Susannah on getting rid of your freezer. I have our old refrigerator in the garage right now hoping if I plug it in it may work. I want to start getting some meat on sale and freezing it.
Becky good to see you. Glad your Mom is staying while Dh is traveling. Mine is going to Cooperstown with Dstepson and Dfil next month and it will be my first night alone with Alexa.
Quick waves to everyone
Heres a poda and tada:
~ went to Target to get a new Garbage can. We had this stupid metal thing that had a plastic can inside it and boy was it like wrestling an alligator to get the garbage out. Now we have an ugly black plastic thing but at least I can get the bag out
~brought two new lamps to replace the ugly ones in the den. Sure did brighten up the place. get it?? lol....
~printed out some black and white pictures of Alexa. Now I need to find a good frame.
~1 load of laundry done just needs to be put away
~ran 2 miles. felt so good to get some exercise
~do a 27 fling boogie
~make a card with Alexas picture for Dniece
~go to bank
~entered my balance into my checkbook. I am going to start keeping track of all spending. I am so bad about entering debit card purchases. I use that thing so much Alexa takes it out of my hand and tries to swipe it in the machine at the store
OK Im sure there's lots more to do, but thats a start. Have a great Sunday. Love Jackie
Ok, we have church this morning, followed by Sunday School (the girls go to, I don't. But I will be going to the grocery store for groceries and a few other items, to be explained in a minute). After SS is the church pot luck (which I didn't have enough brocolli to make 2 casseroles yesterday, so I have to pick up something), followed by the admin. board meeting (which I have to read last meeting's minutes and take minutes this time). Thankfully, DH took DS2 to work today, they are plowing. I'm going to take a cooler with me to town for groceries, so I won't have to go to the store twice, and I can pick boy up as soon as the meeting is over. THEN, we have been invited to dinner at a friends house who is having their grandchildren over, so I'm bringing some stuff for that. I won't be home nearly all day.
Which is too bad, because I finally figured out where to move some furniture and wanted to get moving on that. AND there is a Braves game on TV that I will miss.
And can you believe that school starts in just 2 1/2 weeks!!??
Jackie, love your counter!!
Susannah, our electric has been outrageous too! But I guess I'm making up for it with the gas bill (for the house). It was just $7. I know in the winter it will be closer to $100. So I'm coming out even in the end. At least I'm cool (actually, I froze DH out last night. He got mad when I turned the ceiling fan on high, but got over it when I gave him all my covers. LOL!)
but I guess he is paying me back. Decided he would be sweet and filled up my pickup with deisel. The catch: He left it down by the horse pens, so I get to walk to it. Ok, it's not THAT far, a few hundred yards. Still, I'm big, fat and lazy and I don't wanna walk down there in my Sunday best. LOL!
I didn't manage any homework or packing yesterday, although I did do the laundry and we went to Target.
Hope you had a nice nap Andrea!
Susannah, I was hoping you'd found a Dyson at one of those rummage sales. Ah well.
That is funny about Alexa using your debit card, Jackie!
Jenny, I sort of wish I were hot. I feel like I'm cheating by being pregnant without getting hotter than everyone else. When they take my temperature at the doc's, it always comes out higher than normal for me-- 98.5 degrees (normal for me is 96-96.5). So being pregnant makes my temperature go all the way up to average.
Anyhow, PODA:
-the aforementioned SLUG list
-pick up Mom at the airport this evening
-vacuum
-remember to make dinnerr
I think I need a nap first though. I wish DH could just teleport to Scotland, back and forth, and come home every night. It would be a lot easier!
Wouldn't that be lovely, Becky? Provided the system had been thoroughly tested first. How often I have wished for one of those replicator thingies that produces "tea, Earl Grey, hot" out of thin air.
Jackie, mmmm tuna steaks! Sounds like you had a real pleasant time.
Jenny, hope you survive your Sunday. Crazy!
BTW, I'm not even going to hope for a used Dyson at a yard sale. However, I am halfway hoping for a grain mill of some sort.
TA DA's: Hmmm, I know there's something. I got to church this morning with 5 kids, only 5 minutes late. Saw my mother there. J.D. screamed and cried about going to his class...just like Elias did at his age. I wonder why. Is this a boy thing? He was fine when I picked him up, though. ??:
Did Saving Dinner last night. It wasn't spectacular, but DH ate his entire portion. Today I used leftovers to make a quickie taco-type soup that I'm going to try in a minute.
It's waaay too quiet out there in the living room. Did they kill each other??
Just now unsubscribed from a bunch of e-mail lists, including Flylady for a while, so my in-box doesn't overflow during August. I'll probably check my e-mail, but only sporadically.
Well, ladies, this is my last post until September. I have to sign off for a month. Official, temporary good-byes in a separate post.
When DH was 3 and went to Sunday school, he tells me he used to scream because it frightened him to be separated from his brothers. That's all I know though.

Back on track
Mornin'!!!
Jenny
Morning everyone! You are
Morning everyone!
Have a great day all - I will post a TADA later -
Andrea
hurry up and wait
well the wic appointment went well.

See yall then.

Good Afternoon! Jenny-thos
Good Afternoon!
Jenny-those child guests are old enough to play with and keep an eye on your 3 so that's not too bad of a deal.
Jamielea-did Trey make the volcano outta plaster of paris and the lava with baking soda and vinegar,I think that's how we did it when my Ds was around that age. Fun.

HI everyone! Yeah I guess
HI everyone!
I'm off!
Andrea
Went to town. Subway was SO
Went to town.
Jenny
Checking in between trips
Hi all,
Sounds like everyone is keeping very busy this summer.
Take care,
Susan
Hi Susan!
Heat
Well its like 2:40 am and I have insomnia. I doubt its from my little nap as I didnt get much sleep the night before but it serves a good purpose. I have been cleaning all night. Its kinda easy this way with the kids all asleep but the big thing is its been so hot and humid here. Its in the 100s with the heat index adding major numbers and the humidity is just horrible. The ac cant keep up and I cant even think of running the dryer.Tommorows weather is supposed to be even more hot and humid then the last few days.Could be more nesting too.
Tadas:
took kids to library
dinner
spotless kitchen(floors and all)
picked up LR
got all laundry from both Bathrooms washed
dishes all done
took out trash(bleached trash can)
I want to sleep but I just have so much energy for a change I cant decide if I should use it all up or see if it keeps till morning.

testing
Seeing if my signature is working.
Hi
Looks good Becky! Mmmmmm, brownies.
Andrea
Back On Track Too
I finally woke up this morning with some energy! Yippee!
Now, I seriously need to harness it and get stuff done. Somehow I managed to piddle away the day yesterday and really didn't get anything visible accomplished.
TADA-yesterday
two loads laundry
attacked hard water deposits on the shower floor
homeschooled DD
dinner: grilled steak quesadillas
did a lot of business work on the computer
made bed this morning
threw in a load of laundry
PODA
load dirty dishes
laundry-last two loads
sweep floors
weed
business plan
business plan
business plan
wrap gifts for family reunion this weekend
put away clean folded laundry-in drawers and closets, not the couch in my room
Wow Susan, you are busy!
Happy Day everyone.
:-)
-Jo
Good Morning flyfriends!!
How are you girls? We are hanging in there, I worked my 3 days which were rough but its over. Now no work again until next Monday!! Woohoo!!
Jenny you will love love love your dyson. I still am in love with mine. Great job on the price too. I got my for my anniversary- how romantic
but I think we paid $450.
Day one of 5 kids
Jenny
WOW!!
Jenny
Congratulations Jackie!!!
Rose
Congrats Jackie!
I FIANALLY took them apart and painted the base with a flat gold paint, they look new
$80.00 worth of lamp that ended up costing me about $4.00 (including the paint)
Funny story. The lamps had been sitting in the front living room for the last year I had picture frames in front of them to cover the yucky looking base. Anyway DH comes in while I'm painting them so I'm telling him how I only paid $2.00 for them (NOT the first time he's heard this, told him a year before when I bought them) and "don't they look good” He says.... "Yea there nice where you gona put em'?" Men! I told him I guess I’ll put them back in the big empty space in the front room where they've been for the last year! I swear if I think I could paint the entire house a different color and I don't think he'd notice!
Hi all! Jackie, that is so
Hi all!
Jackie, that is so great!!! Congratulations! As soon as I saw all the congrats I knew. I remember you had mentioned the possibility previously. It is hard to believe all the pregnancies around here!
Jamie Lea - funny about your DH! What a steal on those lamps.
Jenny, hope you get your nap!
Well, I'm at work and am heading home!
Andrea
Things kids say
Did I tell ya what DD6 said the other day? Friday, just me and the girls went to the mall before my dr. appt (Chance was hauling hay with daddy). I had a gift certificate to Bath and Body Works, or else I usually don't even go to our poor excuse for a mall. Anyway, the door we went in has recruiting offices for all four branches of the service. I told DD6, why don't we sign you guys up for the Army? To which she very dramatically replied, "Nooooo!!! I'm to YOUNG to die!!!!". It was very cute!!
Jenny
Updates
Just wanted to share that I updated my website. Just the baby page. Got my ultrasound pictures up, in case you wanted a peek.

brownies for breakfast
PODA:

-homework
-write some household business-type letters
Woohoo!
Later!
Susannah
Back on the wagon.....
gone for a few days helping a friend get settled in a new apt. House faired pretty well. We cleaned it up on Sunday.
Reading along!

Loved the pic's Jenny
I've never had a 3D ultrasound, very cool.
We went to the library today, checked out a couple books and a DVD all about volcanoes. That and some reading were about the extent of school today. What can I say, its summer and it's HOT.

I got the kids to clean up for the most part. Wouldn't let them eat any meal til it was done. I'm mean! LOL! They are watching The Parent Trap (original one) with popcorn in the girls' room. Been a fairly peaceful night (except when Chance would barge in on them).
Biggest TADA: I'm still alive and the house is still standing.
cya in the morning!

hot zones

It takes more courage to enter marriage than it does to enter the field of battle.
-Queen Katherine of Sweden
Thanks for all the congrats!!
We are so excited. I still cant believe it. I am not good at secrets usually either, but I think we should wait at least until I am like 8 weeks. So whats up with my belly sticking out already?? I know you show faster with the second but how the heck am I going to keep it a secret when I look like this already??
:)
Bye Love Jack
Dh is off today so not much going on. Food shopping, visit inlaws, relax. Maybe fix a nice dinner.
Just wanted to say hi and thankyou for all your happy posts. Have a great day and see you tomorrow. But first I have to post this:
I finished the Thankyous!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now if I would just mail them
Dark, Rainy Day
We do need it though, and the next four days are supposed to be beautiful, so I'm not complaining.

Hi Jana, it's good to see you poke your head in!
OK, gotta go, enough procratinating.
Bye,

Morning
*vacuum
*mop kitchen (didn't do it yesterday)
*make dough for homemade pizza tonight (these girls have never had homemade pizza before!!!)
*tackle some of the next batch of clothes in the girls' closet (that way when the company leaves, I can tackle the room!!).
Hopefully I'll have more done later.
Jenny

Jenny-I bet the girls are appreciating all that you are exposing them to,good job.
Jamielea-I think we have a similar volcano movie at our library too,did you take pix of Trey's final project?
Andrea-what paint emergency? Hope it didn't involve kids and paint, yikes.
Well, better run guys.

HI again -
Actually it did Heidi!
Andrea
Yikes Andrea
Glad it came up. Hope you got your nap.
I found Miss. Savannah STANDING
on the bottom stair today.

Good evening everyone -
Actually it came up pretty well Jamie Lea!
See you gals in the am.
Andrea
Busy ladies
Good night all!

Evening!
Wow!! LOL!
cya'll in the mornin'!

Hi Flyfriends!!
Its been a long morning and a very long night. Alexa is getting her bottom molars so she was up from 2am to 5am. I think its someone's way of reminding me how hard it is to function without sleep
So after a long struggle to get her down for a npa now that is what I am going to do.
So now much of a tada and my only poda is to take a nap.
:)
I told him he would be paying her from his ebay fund if Alexa broke anything
OK I am seeing double now. Gotta sleep. Love Jack
I hope this works:

Jenny
Go, Savannah, Go!
(And Jamie says "No, no, no!"
) I cannot believe how time has passed!
Love,
Susannah

Morning everyone!
Bye!

Mornin'!!

Just coming up for air.
Still left to tackle: bookshelf, two dressers and the desk (yikes! the desk!!!).
darn
Andrea
Jenny...
Well, gotta go!
Love,
Susannah
I got the girls room all clea

Hello!
Y'all make me want a Dyson.
The electric bill was
. LOL!
The freezer's gone now, so the house has lost some weight.
I did a bit of weeding next to the house and around the mailbox, and DH mowed. It looks a bit better out there.
I think that's it! I'm about to go list some homeschool stuff for families who are financially strapped with TOS magazine.
Later!
Susannah
Good Morning Flyfriends!!

Love Jackie
Day of rest?
HA!!!
LOL!
Yall have a good Sunday!
Jenny
SLUG from yesterday
Beam me up!
