SAH Animal Moms
Hi I'm Ilse. I am as SAH Animal mom. I have five beauitful Dogs, (2 Doxies, 2 Chihuahuas, and 1 Lab.) Are there any other mommies out there like me, who are busy raising their animal children? Any like me who are staying home to raise their fuzzy children?

Well, I'm staying home to rai
Well, I'm staying home to raise my less hairy children (three humans and one on the way). BUT, I have a farm and work on it, so in a sense, I'm staying home raising 50 head of beef cattle, a dog, and as it stands today, 8 cats (2 adults and 6 kittens born mid May). Plus I suspect the mama is prego again. They are all outside, though. No indoor pets here, unless you count the husband and children (who are just as messy, I think).
2 cats
I am no longer SAH (I have gone back to grad school) and I have baby #1 on the way, but I have been the SAHM to two cats before. The two cats are still with us, they just spend less time with me than they used to.
Also two cats
Well, I don't know if I'd go so far as to call mine "children," but I am at home here with my two cats, too. No kids yet, but we're hoping to change that eventually.
How could I forget!!!
Man, I completely forgot to mention that I have three horses!! Well, two are ours. One is my FIL's. He had two, but sold one and didn't want this one to get lonely all by himself, so we have him now. He's ancient, I'm just going to use him to teach the kids to ride on. The other two are ours. One is mine, I raised him since he was born. He's also a wild thing, I don't ride him anymore. Well, because I keep getting knocked up. LOL! The other one is DH's, but he doesn't ride much either, no time. I'm hoping after this baby is born, I can spend alot more time out there with them.
FIL=Father-in-Law DH=dear hu

3 cats and 1 Dog here in Columbus
We have three cats and a dog. The cats I have had for more than a decade. We adopted the dog this past summer. He is a male black lab that turned a year old in October. He was neglected and abused so we took him into our home. Not having had a dog since I was a small child, Lucas was quite the adjustment for me. However, he has been a wonderful addition to our home. Plus, I have noticed an increase in my physical activity as this huge dog likes to play ALOT!! Additionally, he has turned out to be quite protective of our household and the cats. As for the cats, they finally adjusted their schedules and lives to accommodate Lucas. Though they still prefer not to receive those dog licks, they will come around him to see what he is doing and he also provides them a warm cuddly napping buddy. For my four legged childrend, I found recipes for treats and meals that I can make for them. Often, they will snub the store bought stuff for the homemade versions, too. They are a joy to have around the house.

Horses Mom
I can't wait to have horses. Jay and I rescue animals and then get them ready for addoption. I hope that we can do the same with some horses. We have a local orginazation that takes in Abused horses, and rehabilities them. BTW what do FIL and DH stand for?
