Meanings that kids get sooooo wrong...

Submitted by Anhata on Thu, 06/23/2005 - 8:29pm.

My DD thinks that "diarrhea" means "follow me". Honestly. Doesn't matter how many times I tell her what it really is. Funny in a creepy way.

And why do kids think the word "body" refers to the tooshie? DD thinks that too, and I remember thinking that when I was four or five.

Anyway, comments anyone on messed up meanings you've encountered from the little ones?

But in the future, if your daughter brings home a boy you dislike, you'll know what stories to tell so she won't want to face him again!

Josie when she was tiny decided she thought diarrhea was a cool word. So for a couple of months after a bout of it she had an imaginary friend named...Diarrhea. Drove us crazy.

he's got totally the wrong idea of semi-detached housing... he kept thinking he might walk through into the next house by mistake, so I stupidly said there are no doors, just a wall. Believe me, that did not help!! Just as well the house we just agreed to buy is detached or we'd have had no end of trouble with him!
