Who was Deep Throat: The assistant director of the FBI during the Nixon Administration, W. Mark Felt. Woodward and Bernstein will neither confirm nor deny because they promised not to reveal until the source was dead, but Mr. Felt is 91 so that might not be much longer. He was always ashamed of "betraying" Nixon, but his children convinced him that he was a national hero and should go public. I'm with the kids. Mr. Felt, sir, you did the right thing.
