Well, the calender SAYS it's

jennye's picture

Well, the calender SAYS it's a holiday, but it's just another day on the farm around here. DH is plowing, got 100 acres done yesterday and wants to get another 100 done today. So that's HIS PODA. LOL! He left at daylight and will quit about 7 or so. Since it IS a holiday, he won't plow til dark. Laughing out loud

As for me, I actually set my alarm and only hit snooze a few times, officially got up at 7:30 when the phone started ringing (no one else thinks it's a holiday either. It was a guy wanting DH to haul some hay for him today). So, I got up and did MR. Dressed to shoes, put away dishes, loaded and started the dishwasher, made bed, started some laundry.

Want to kick Flylady back into gear. Might even start getting the emails again (though I used to just delete). PODA will be to work on the desk a little bit and do Weekly Blessing. And I STILL haven't found that cordless phone. LOL!

Ya'll have a good day. And remember what today is for.

Productive Day

I'm trying to avoid going into survival mode. We are in the homestretch of me working for someone else. A week from Friday is my last official day when I have to be there by a certain time etc. There will be some wrapping up paperwork/cleaning up I have to do, but that will be on my own time and totally finished by June 27th when we go camping. Then after that-I get my life back sorta.

The Memorial Day parade and ceremony was very heartfelt and touching. 1.8% of our town's population is deplyed to Iraq right now. We lost one of our boys last fall. He graduated from high school with DH and left 3 young children. The day was dedicated to them (our deployed guard unit and Michael)and there were many tears all around.

Have a peaceful week everyone.
Love,
-Jo

A Beautiful Day!

Shaun's picture

We were expecting an awful, rainy weekend but it has been quite nice.

As I was trying to drag DH out of bed on his day off, he told me that he was going to lie in bed in memory of all our fallen heroes. Laughing out loud I said, I guess that means I'll get up and take care of the kids and get breakfast going in honor of the women who also served and kept the homefires burning and got no recognition. Eye-wink Of course he said, I don't know what you're talking about. Evil

DD6 and I had a nice chat about people in our family who served in the military during WWII and Vietnam. After that she told me that when she grows up she doesn't want to be in a war. Then she added, "Maybe when I grow up there won't be any wars!" Ah, they break your heart . . . Sad

Gotta do some payin' work myself, while DH is home to watch the kiddies. Had a nice picnic at a park earlier, but not much else has gotten done.

Hope everyone else has a lovely day.

Checking in

Susannah's picture

Caught up on last thread and this. Didn't make it to Memorial Day celebration, but it's just as well. Our area has had a nice, steady rain all day. (Good for the grass seed, at least.) I will be visiting a military cemetery in August, when I go to my father's grave. Maybe I can do my memorial then.

TA DA's for yesterday: Made it to church, 10 min. late as usual. Had Olivia's birthday celebration; invited a single friend from the college and my mom. Turned around and went back to church for first parenting class. It was good.

Today's TA DA's: Homeschooled lite (math drill, stylus skill sheets & language lesson). Finished touching up girls' room and put it back together, hung up pictures. Reorganized shelves in boys' room and sorted all toys. Cleaned out a buncha fling. Vacuumed up there. Came down; it was destroyed down here. Had kids clean up their stuff downstairs. Loaded DW. Had hot dogs/chili dogs and leftover watermelon for supper. DH cleaned stinky spot in our bedroom carpet with the Bissell.

PODA:
Finish washing dishes. Laundry catch-up (I'm really close!). Watch Lemony Snicket.

Still not heard anything definite about DH's job prospects at the college or anywhere else. Just think, in a month I could be homeless and penniless! LOL! Really, I'm not worried about it, though. Whatever happens, we'll be okay.

Later!

Susannah

Well, SOME of us were around

jennye's picture

Well, SOME of us were around yesterday. LOL! Hope the rest of you had a nice day with your families.

Yesterday. I did something. What was it? Oh, the kids and I sorted, counted, and rolled up change I had been saving in a couple of coffee cans. $103. Cool! I was thinking about going to Lubbock in the next few days. Probably Monday when SIL has her c-section, so I can see my neice! Can also run to Old Navy and Sam's Club. Also cooked a messy dinner last night AND cleaned it up (Chicken Fried Steak w/ gravy and biscuits). Picked a fight with DH, and went to bed. All in a days work!! LOL!

This morning we are going to Clovis for the horsemanship competition for a rodeo queen pagent. The girls have been looking forward to it and last night, laid out the clothes they wanted to wear (boots, belts, buckles, rockies, shirts and cowboy hats). DD5 has decided she wants to be a cowgirl when she grows up. Now to just convince DH...He's a farmer, not a cowboy (I realized too late when I married him. He had put on a convincing act while we were dating, taking me to rodeos, riding, brandings and stuff. didn't realize he prefered tractors to horses til after the wedding). But I'm hoping to teach the girls to ride this summer. I think they are ready.

Ok, rodeo stuff this morning, walmart run (DH wants me to make broccoli casserole for 20 guys tomorrow for Lions club), and need to clone myself so I can be at 2 baseball games at the same time at different fields tonight. Ya'll have a good one!

Summer is official in our house!

AnneP's picture

Hey everyone, my life is gonna go into laze mode at the pool for the next 2 1/2 months, but in order to get their by noon, my schedule is compacted and sped up.
up at 7, breakfast, chores (MR), homeschool, and pack food for pool, prep for dinner and get out the door by 11:30am. Pool from noon to 3:30pm. Tuesday thru Friday!
Today...the wrench begins.
Oldest has golf camp for 2 weeks 8am to 9:30am.
So I will try to pop in to say hi, am sure I will be reading along! But, life is a bit the same, so my post will be ditto, til school starts again!

The trouble with bucket seats is that not everybody has the same size bucket~Maxine

You have me! I am yours, flylady!!!!!!

Jana's picture

Let's just get to the point......I want to be lazy and have fun this summer but I also want to get my house and family into tip top shape! Smiling

TADA:

Girls, my mother and I put up 114 ears of sweet corn yesterday! I loved it! Just imagined having fresh sweet corn in DEC. We cleaned, blanched and packaged everything for the freezer. Some on ears and some we took off the ears. It was yummy! We made some on the grill as we were working. A lady my mother knows in El Campo raises corn. She said she will have it all summer. We are gonna get another batch next month!

Better run! Getting myself in high gear!

Have a great day!

Jana

Jana, that sounds SO GOOD! B

jennye's picture

Jana, that sounds SO GOOD! Bring some over when we all invade Jamie Leas house while she is gone. LOL!

Rodeo queen thing got cancelled. I drove an hour up there, got to the arena, and was met by no people and a big muddy mess. Was finally able to find someone who knew what was going on, and they were trying to decide whether to have it this afternoon or tomorrow. Either way, my day was screwed. I had nothing to do up in Clovis for hours waiting, and I don't want to make the trip tomorrow again. Went by Walmart to pick up what DH needed, AND got him and the boy Dukes of Hazzard season 3 that came out today. Me and the girls are really bummed. They looked so cute in their jeans and boots and braids with their hats.

Well, maybe I'll do something around the house. After I get rid of this headache. Think I'll eat some nachos and a coke. I don't care if it isn't lunchtime yet.

Too Bad

Susannah's picture

Sorry about the rodeo, Jenny, that's real disappointing! I think there's a rodeo not far from here, now that I think of it. I've seen the signs. Maybe we should go sometime.

TA DA: Homeschooled. Breakfast and lunch. I know I've done more than that!

I just got through tempera paints with kids, so there's a TA DA. Bleah. I can handle watercolors, but tempera paints always get to me. I'm afraid someone will make a puddle on the floor and someone else will track through it over the carpet. I'm always wiping, wiping, wiping while they paint. Supposedly washable, but you know...

Everybody wants to go outside now. Well, the girls are out, but now I have the boys to gear up. Whew, only half the day gone and I need a nap already.

PODA:
*Pay bills
*Finish package for friend in Iraq
*Mail stuff
*Wal-mart run later, if/when DH gets back on time
*Finish laundry

Lemony Snicket movie was so-so.

DH is being ridiculously silly and I'm not in the mood. Where's that eye-rolling smiley? He was "flying" the cat around the living room a few minutes ago, chasing the kids with her. They were screaming!

Well, I'm off to do other internet stuff and then do what I'm supposed to.

Love,

Susannah

not summer yet

Shaun's picture

... tho it feels like it should be. Georgeous relaxing weekend -- didn't seem right to pack DD6 off to school this morning. Just 2 more weeks!

Babysitter called in sick this morning, and was also sick last Thursday, so we're in improvisation mode here. Did a little freelance while DD2 stared at Baby Einstein farm video, then hit the playground and did a short stroller push session for mom. Had some lunch, and DD2 is wheeling Bear (of Blue House fame) around in a baby stroller while I try to type. Oops, she's onto me and ready to climb up!

So no TADAs!

PODA
pasta salad for dinner
laundry cycle (wash one, dry one, put away one -- not the flylady way but it seems to work for us)
freelance work
paperwork
work on summer schedule
DW cycle

Did do some outdoor cleanup yesterday -- table, chairs, toys, etc. Looks great, and the baby lilacs are just heavenly! The big ones are long gone, so these are a real treat.

Have a great day all -- DD2 has reached the limit!

Hi Flyfriends!!

Tigerlilly's picture

Started off the day great- Dh didnt have work until 2pm. We picked up some stuff at Home Depot (or Home Dopey as my Dad calls it Smiling ) went to a small flower stand and picked up some great flowers, actually planted them while Alexa was in the swing. Then all he$$ broke loose. Alexa refused to nap + I didn't eat any breakfast = DH getting yelled at and he really didn't do anything. But that was the problem. Why are all baby responsibilities mine and his are playtime??? So I am the bad one who forced her to nap and he rescues her all smiles. AGhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... Ok thanks I feel better.

Jenny, sorry about your day. I hope you had a fun day with your girls anyway. Nachos and coke sound like a perfectly normal pregnant breakfast around here Smiling

Susannah your Dh flying your cat around the room cracked me up. My fat tabby Tiger lets us do whatever we want to him. Alexa cracks up when I wrap him around my neck and call him my fur.

Shaun, sounds like you recovered well from your babysitter calling in sick. Some exercise outside always does us wonders Smiling

Quick waves to everyone else Smiling :)

Heres a tada and poda:
~ordered cake for Alexa's bday party Sat
~ordered fried chicken
~ordered hero
~make to do list of food and errands for Sat
~planted flowers
~pack up winter clothes that are piled in the corner of my room. I think it will finally stay warm- at least I hope so!!
~clean entryway really good
~drink lots of water. I am so so crabby today. Maybe because I stopped my bc pills this month. Dumdadumdum....... MAybe I will be joining Becky and Jennny soon. That is if I can find some energy to create the baby Smiling Eye-wink
~maybe visit my Mom and take dniece and Alexa to the park
Thats all. Have a great day girls. Love Jackie

Jana, I started getting the emails again yesterday. I haven't read them yet (I've barely been home today). But tomorrow is another day to start anew.

Game went well. Our team has all of the sudden started hitting! LOL! Went to Dairy Queen with friends later (we had 7 kids there between both of us). Talked for too long. Took the girls to grammies to spend the night. DH is bringing chance back in his truck, I have a few moments of being alone before they arrive.

Better run.....

Hi Everyone!

Heidi

Heidi, glad it's your dad and

jennye's picture

Heidi, glad it's your dad and stepmom and not mine! LOL! I have very little to worry about my father coming out for a visit. He doesn't like little kids and hasn't been here since his first grandchild was born 8 years ago.

Phone woke me up at 7. someone for DH. Who wasn't here. I don't even remember him leaving (then again, I don't remember the TV in the bedroom being turned off last night, either). Just me and the boy, since the girls spent the night at Grammie's. She will bring them home later today, so she can see the kittens.

I'm going to try to kick Flylady back into gear today! And actually look at the emails and try to do them BEFORE deleting. LOL! Ok, I cheated and didn't do all of MR before getting on puter. But my shoes ARE on at least. Chance is still sleeping in my bed, so I can't make it (and he is a BED HOG!!!). I ate breakfast while checking email and web sites. I'm caught up and ready to go!

PODA:
*just looked outside, and I should really do some mowing today. not only the yard, but some other spots by the barns and stuff, too.
*Do the Flylady thang. Maybe even the blessing I didn't do Monday.

I'll come back with a TADA later.

Not much to report yet..............

it is rainy and windy so we all snuggled in bed a little longer, until DS7 mentioned donuts and then DS4 shot out of bed like a rocket. Cracked me up. He must have forgotten they were in there! LOL!

Hi all -

curses, foiled again.

jennye's picture

Well, I was doing good on my mowing. Got the yard done, and was getting other spots done. I wasn't worried about too much because just a couple month ago when I was raking and clearing out the tumbleweeds from winter, I cleaned everything out. Then I was under the cake bins and CRASH, I got a piece of barb wire. I blame my FIL, since he is the only one using the darn things for his cows. If you remember, our ill-fated feed truck, The Whore, met a disaterous end. So, until I get around to somehow fitting under the mower and untangling the mess, that project is halted. bummer.

On a good note, MIL decided NOT to have a garden this year, and is giving me some seeds. Spaghetti squash and some cucumbers that grow to be 3 feet long! Should be interesting.

Add to my PODA to make 2 broccoli casseroles. Why is it I'm always doing some sort of cooking for their men's only club?

Flying still

Susannah's picture

Just in terms of the e-mails. I still get them too. I delete en masse.

I have been getting up earlier lately, so thanks for those prayers. Most mornings I'm able to get up before the family. Through no fault of my own, my littlest woke up before me today so that threw me off, but then I had to take DS5 to a dr's appt. so the morning was kind of weird anyway.

So, the specialist said that no, I can't really do much to improve his diet at this age, and there really is not a "root cause" to get to. He's just constipated. She's just tweaking the milk of magnesia to get the right dosage. She claims he will eventually straighten himself out. Sigh. I'm envisioning piles of dirty underwear for some time to come.

I might try the wheat-grinding thing anyway. At least he'd get more vitamins from his bread, to build him up. Right? The doc said if he's only eating a couple of slices per day, it won't make that much difference, but heck, it can't hurt anything. Now if I can just figure a way to grind the wheat 'til I can invest in a grinder. I keep hoping against hope someone will be selling one cheap at a yard sale. Fat chance, eh?

So there's my big TA DA so far. I put Emma down for a late nap some time ago. She was overdue. I folded some laundry before I left for Athens and put most of it away. Also, made lunch for everyone before I left. I just glued DS5's toy yo-yo from the dr.'s office back together. He broke it before we even left!

Oh, another TA DA is that DS5 did THREE reading lessons today, so far! He just wants to keep on going. I'm amazed. He's amazingly quick. This is my kid who cannot yet get an ungarbled sentence out for anything. "Mom, are we for going fishing forever this day?" Just for an example. The doctor sat there and listened while he spun out a loooong run-on sentence (something about exploring and finding berries with his sister) and when he paused, said, "O-kay! Now that we've settled that...." and wrote the prescription.

PODA:
Vaccuum
Finish drying laundry
Make a hair appt. I'm overdue for that!
Try to change kids' primary care physician.

heidic's picture

Susannah- the medical term is encopresis, look it up on the internet. It Is treatable and has a high cure rate. Pediatricians just aren't very educated on the topic. Also, the Fall 2003 issue of Brain,Child magazine has an article about one mother's experience with it. Go to www.brainchildmag.com and maybe you can read that back article. Best of luck! This will work out if you follow a treatment plan. Sometimes the doctors don't get it at all,and it's up to moms to investigate.

Jana

Jana, sorry about the backach

jennye's picture

Jana, sorry about the backache.

Susannah, that must be frustrating.

Fixed the mower (took off the affected blade). started mowing again and got a few rounds done, then hit a hidden pipe and really bent up the other blade. And of course, it's on the side that I can't get to, I'll have to take the mower deck completely off. Wish we had a ramp I could drive the thing up on and get to it. I'll have to talk to DH and see if he has anything suitable laying around for that.

In the meantime, I got the roto tiller running and I retilled the half of the garden that wasn't planted yet. Took care of all the weeds that way. Now it's ready to plant. I felt nasty after all that, so I jumped in the shower. Feel much better now, all clean. I may plant tomorrow, spend the rest of the day workin in the nice AC house.

Time to make brocolli casseroles.

Ahh, the girls are home. All

jennye's picture

Ahh, the girls are home. All I hear are screams of "CHANCE, STOP IT!!!!" and doors slamming to try to keep him away from their barbie play. MIL brought them home, she just ate up the kittens. Also brought me spaghetti squash seeds. Went ahead and got all that planted, so my garden is done. Well, except for a couple hills of some other cucumber seeds she brought. There is a big ant hill in that spot, gotta try to kill those first. Again.

PB&J for dinner. Since dh isn't here, I didn't do much. He's getting steak, baked potatoes, the brocolli casserole and buns. Must be nice.

We got another horse today. My FIL brought his old one by. He sold my SIL's mare, and didn't want this one to be lonely. So we have three now. This one is really old and gentle, I'm hoping the girls can learn to ride on him this summer.

Have a nice night!

Morning wake up calls

jennye's picture

Jana, in the farmer's world, the phone calls start at 6. Afterall, the farmer MAKING the call is up, surely everyone else must be. LOL! I've gotten pretty good at disguising my voice so that it sounds like I've been up for a while. I sure don't want the old timers to think I'm lazy and sleepy at that hour.

This morning, however, I must have been REALLY tired. I slept til 9:00. That's like unheard of for me. Took a little while to wake up Chance. He does like his sleep, as hard as it is to get him there. The girls were already up and playing Barbies in their room. Good girls.

DH should get done plowing in a couple of hours. Then he's going to spend the rest of the day with us, til he leaves at 6:30 for a school board thing in Albuquerque. He'll be back Saturday night. We have a tball game tonight in town. Not sure what I'll do today. Have a TADA later I hope.

They wore their swimsuits and waded in kiddie pools, had towels and beach chairs lined up in the sand pit,ice cream and melon, and beach sand to eat(ground up sugar cookies!) Very cute.

Well, Dd has one more day of school and DS has 3 and then summer will be in full swing.

Susannah-you are welcome, but as you will read the links you will see that diet isn't that much to blame as the time to sit a few times a day and getting the stretched out organs back to their original shape is what is needed.

Hope you guys have a great day!

Heidi

Where are you going?

Shaun's picture

"Wherever I end up."

That was the exchange between DD6 and I this morning as she embraced me passionately and said goodbye just before breakfast! Laughing out loud

Working day today -- dropped off DD6 at school, picked up sitter, headed to library, took sitter home, but DD2 to bed, ate lunch, started working again.

Is my house messy? Yes! Do I know what I'm having for dinner? No! Is my bed made and the laundry moving? Yes! So that puts me in the plus column, IMHO. Big grin

And now I must work a bit more and then spend some time with my digital photos so I can order up a pile!

Good to "see" you guys!

DH is pouring bleach in our pond as I type. He is disgusted with the duckweed covering the surface. IMO it won't do a thing. I hope we don't get albino frogs!! That pond is about an acre in size so whatever he pours in will not do a thing but try and tell HIM that!!

Better get Dd out of the tub and in to bed.....

Fabulous Friday!

Vonnie's picture

Yup, it's finally here. I have been AWOL for most of this week. Sorry. I have done "some" flying, keeping the house pretty much cleaned up from Monday. We had the folks over Monday for lunch & DH did a great job cleaning the house up while I did the kitchen, food & laundry. Smiling

I've devoted a great portion of this week to organizing my writing career, which I am hoping to finally get off the ground. Hence, my abbreviated time on this list. I have a lot of contests I want to enter & my first deadlines are June 15, so I will probably be just lurking here a lot in the next few days.

My PODA:

* Get DD to preschool (she LOVES her summer program!)
* Work at my office
* Laundry
* Work on some poetry for contests
* Mother-Daughter Banquet tonight at 6:30

Not very impressive, but I usually try to keep Fridays simple. I'll do some general straightening as well.

Well, DD is wanting a lot of attention right now, so I'll run. Need to get her dressed for school, etc.

Hi Shaun - loved your DD's quote!

Hi Jana - you are a saint to listen to your buddy on the phone, I am not too good with that sort of thing.

Well, I'm at work, so this will be short - we have a fairly busy weekend, but I'd also like to get some chores done. DH and I get to go out for dinner tonite, that should be nice, my folks are taking kiddos out for dinner and Madagascar. We are finally getting some nice weather, yay, so hope to spend lots of time outdoors gardening and maybe hiking.

Back to the salt mine -

Went to the ball game last night, got baseball pictures for her team. Unfortunatly, it wasn't the package I had ordered. Wonder how hard THAT is going to be to straighten up. THEN, her coach announced a makeup game tonight for another team, that's in another town. At the same time I'm having practice with DD8's team. So, she will be missing that game. I'm a single parent this weekend, I can't do it all.

Jenny- I like when I am the single parent when DH works long hours,as far as not having to really"cook" dinner, and a lot of quiet!!LOL

Andrea-we have tried commercial pond cleaners and recently a fountain to aerate it. We are frustrated at this point. I may call the extension office or Wildlife dept for advice.

Vonnie-what type of writing do you do? I used to write a lot more than now,had a couple things published, nothing big. Sounds like a great way to combine motherhood with career, though.

Well, hope you guys have a great weekend!

Humid Afternoon in the Deep South

Vonnie's picture

It's not very hot, but you can just about cut the humidity with a knife here. Ugh! I wore a 3/4 sleeve blouse to work this morning and just about expired right there! Came home and put on a trusty old t-shirt. Whew!

Heidi, I primarily write poems and short stories. I would like to get into writing novels, though. Since I've been out of it for so long, I am jumping back in with poems and short stories for now. I actually started a short story this afternoon. I had to stop after I had laid some introductory work and did some basic character development so I can map out where I want the story to go. I will be thrilled just to win one contest or get one thing published in the next few months. We'll see.

Well, I don't have much to report. DD and I will be starting to get ready to go to the banquet in a little bit. DD needs a good bathing and I have to fix her hair. She has been so good most of the afternoon, but we're starting to have a breakdown of that now. She becomes intentionally ugly in her behavior, hoping for a reaction from me. She has two frowny faces on her chart, so if she gets one more this week she will not get her ice cream at TCBY. We'll see if she can hold out until tomorrow night.

I hope everyone is having a great afternoon and hope you have a wonderful weekend. I may be scarce this weekend if I can sneak in some quiet time to write (fat chance - DH is not likely to take on DD for any length of time to get me time to do any writing).

Cya!

Back from the day at the beach!

Just when I think I can be on schedule to do laundry on T/Th I come home with smelly, sandy beach towels and clothes! Oh Well!!!!

Vonnie - good luck on the writing!

Jenny - you are in my house, Dukes of Hazard Disc 1 arrived today! LOL

Andrea - the couple that is having marital issues is really kinda depressing me so I hope this weekend is kinda quiet! It really is sad, I just want to yell "GET A GRIP" but I know that would not help and I KNOW it is not that easy when you are in the depths of it!

Check in later. Laundry is calling me!

Just waking up here - trying to get up the energy to exercise!

I gained a kid. DD8's friend spent the night. I'm making them pancakes now.

I have no TADA, and no PODA as of yet. My shoes aren't on, but socks and an ankle brace are (twisted it last night at practice. Actually, I fell out of the bed of my truck getting out the gear bag full of bats, helmets and balls). But a flyby goodmorning to you all!!

DH is doing the lawn, can that count as my TADA??

Today will just be an overall pickup and put up day after our first week off. I need DH to help me move some stuff to the garage.

Check in later!

Good Evening!

Well, the visit with my mom was a hit. We took the kids to get ice cream then walked along the beach, played in the lake, and then swung on the swings at the park. It was a beautiful day there. Just finished up dinner and kids are vegging with a video before baths/showers and bed.

Jenny- ouch!! Is it real swollen? Pancakes are a special treat here, don't make them too often.

Later....

Heidi

It counts!

Andrea's picture

Jana - it counts! Definitely.

Heidi, sounds like a really nice day with your Mom! How was American Treasure, by the way.

Jenny, gosh take care of yourself - you're worrying us. I have to admit the visual had me chuckling though.

Well, the kiddos are gone for the night! DS at a sleepover and DD with my parents for an overnite. We had grilled lamb chops, rice pilaf, and grilled veggies for dinner. Ate outside - very nice. I hope to watch part of all of the Huckabees movie tonite - I think Shaun saw it.

Tomorrow we have church and then are going to an arts and crafts festival type thing in Naples, NY near here, looking forward to it - it is beautiful down there.

Flying? Well, I mopped my floor today, cleaned a powder room, laundry, and exercised. Not bad I guess!

Wow Andrea, a night without kids! Cool!!

Another day of no flying for me yesterday. But the house isn't too bad. Social Services isn't coming over, anyway.

I ditched church. Bad me. There are two things planned for today, but I don't know if we will do either. There is a pickin' at a friends house. And Church picnic in town. So far the plan is to just stay home.

We will have to leave early tomorrow for Lubbock. Like, no later than 5am. SIL has her c-section at 8:30, and Texas is an hour ahead than we are here. Hopefully we can get there early enough to see her before she goes in. Inlaws are going over tonight and spending the night. I know my SIL is pretty scared. She DID NOT want a c-section. She had the first one natural, and the drs. had really wished they hadn't. They kept them in the hospital an extra day monitoring my nephew, they were scared he had dislocated his shoulder. It was a tough delivery, a nurse was ontop of my SIL pushing on her belly and dr at the other end pulling. Scary. SIL is a nurse and just doesn't want everything "open and flopping out like that" with the c-section. But the ultrasound two weeks ago showed little Gracie was already 8lb 11oz. (her first was 9lb 5oz). She actually isn't due for another week or so! Anyway, prayers for her would be nice.

Since we can't be at the hospital all day, going to go to Old Navy, the mall (return some sandles dd8 got for her birthday. They fell apart the other day), and Sam's. Should make a day of it!

New thread, OK?

I'm seeing a specialist in digestive disorders in children! Now, you'd think they'd know just a little bit about diet and nutrition, as those affect digestion.

I'll check out that link, thanks so much Heidi!

Enjoy Season 1!! Watch the first episode with the commentary. Hilarious!!! "Bo" and "Daisy" talk about the entire episode, all about the filming and behind the scenes stuff. Then watch the Dukefest special feature, and you can get a kick how sexy Daisy can't wear her Daisy Dukes anymore because she got way too fat! LOL!

And laugh, because we have Season 3 on this very minute. LOL! Enos wants to be a big city cop. Funny!
