Little Update...
Things are going pretty well over here, but they are extremely busy. The boys are running and climbing everywhere (which is nice because they were really late walking), and Fiona is an awesome big sister. I am starting to be able to do more things outside the home (like actually make it to my weekly sitting meditation practice with others--kind of like church for buddhists--as well as getting more involved with the local UU church on Sunday for more mainstream services).
DH has gone back to work, telecommuting to Europe. So we still get to all be home together as a family 24/7, which is nice. We are contemplating moving to the Portland, perhaps next summer or a little later (might as well wait until everyone is potty trained so we can get new carpets for the house before we sell it) to be closer to DH's family. I have mixed feelings about this, as the Seattle area's beauty literally takes my breath away. But I do think it would be nice to get to see MIL at least once a week, and I can't deny that the cost of living in the area where she lives would be significantly easier to deal with than where we are now.
Fiona is almost 3 and a half, it's wild to me that she is rapidly approaching school age. I am pretty much (80 percent, I'd say) leaning towards homeschooling the kids, because of junk in the school system (I can't imagine OR will be better than WA). So it is becoming more real to me, and I'm thinking about searching out some homeschool groups. And Tom and Dylan will be 2 in June!
We recently got the boys buzz cuts (they were little wild-haired men before, with all that wispy stand-up-straight baby hair), and the kids posed for a picture afterwards, which I will attach for those interested.

looking good!
Great picture!
If you were in a different part of the world, you could say you are going to the UUC church on occasion (sitting meditation western-style), plus going to Buddhist sitting meditation practice for more mainstream observance. Don't mind me, I'm in a weird mood.
I think Oregon is just as pretty as Washington.
Hiya Kitty!
I was just thinking about you the other day!
Great to see you popping in, and thanks for the pic of the kids, they're gorgeous
Portland!
Kitty move to Portland! You can hang with me and Anhata and skelling--Katie (Lakshmi Mama) is moving to England and leaving us.
It's way prettier here as far as I'm concerned. The light is warmer or something. There are very active UU congregations and a couple of good Buddhist centers. You'd like it here!
