Jo, I hate to tell you this, but I have one more day off - today. The board decided to give the teachers 2 extra days off for unused snow days! Unfortunately for me, I will have to make that day up sometime, b/c I am per diem. You sound organized for your week back!
I am keeping it simple today, I had a crabby weekend for some reason. Just the basics plus I cleaned the walls in the FR and will do a Zone and Wal-Mart run. Then DS8 has baseball practice tonite.
Our once huge and fat cat;Jake, who is now almost 18, and skinny and hurting...is going to sleep this morning. We have had this cat since he was 4or5, was a rescue cat we got in P'cola, Florida some 13 years ago. Jake was my friend and companion, thru many childless years. He is very ill, and unable to digest his food. He is throwing up 5-6 times a day. We have tried everything, except surgery, and our Vet, says he is just old and very tired. So DH is taking him today. The kids all hugged and kissed him, and are handling it much better than me. ha ha laughter thru tears...
So as usual, when I am upset, my house becomes spotless...
Tada
took out cat stuff, and fine tuned cleaned the laundry room. to pulling out shelves and spraying down.
washed throw rugs, in kitchen and laundry room
another load of rags
washing seat cushions to kitchen chairs...(cat remains)
Poda
pulling out throw rugs and area rug in office to steam clean carpet...Main room cat used to toss his food.
Vacumn whole house.
stay busy all day...busy all day....
Oh, Anne! I'm so sorry about your cat. They just become part of the family, especially for that long. Hope the kids will be ok today. I remember when we had my 16 year old cocker spaniel put down. She was 3 when I was born, I had grown up with her. My mom and I took her to the vet to be put to sleep when I was almost 13, it was so hard. We got to bring her back home and bury her in the woods in our backyard, and that helped.
DH is taking me out to breakfast. We have to nearly go to town anyway to get his tractor, so he told me he would take me out for Huevos Rancheros. Even though I already ate just one bowl of cereal, I think I can squeeze another breakfast in. LOL! Not sure what else the day has in store. It rained yesterday and hard last night, not sure if he will have to work or not swathing.
We have had a tough weekend too. The principal at the school I work at, so technically my boss, shot and killed himself Friday night. There are many details but basically we are all very sad and shocked. He had only been here with us for 3-4 months but had made a positive impact on all of us, staff and students alike. I am very sad for his situation.
We have a holiday today, so I am CLEANING out the boys room. They are elsewhere and really have no idea I am do this. I really don't think they will notice most of the stuff gone!
I also have a bad headache, thanks to Aunt Flo and it is raining out so a good day to get rid of some clutter!
I am so sorry. We had to make that decision three years ago with our 12 year old golden retriever. It was so very hard. I can identify with the upset-cleaning mode. I've been so upset over my work dilemma that I have cleaned this house top to bottom. Hot spots are gone, cabinets and drawers are clean.
I did get my work stuff done, printed & it should be delivered. I got an email from the person this morning & briefed her a little on what I found. I could tell she wasn't happy, but she wasn't vicious, either. We'll see what happens, I suppose. I had some errors and I gave them all to them. I am sure there will be more questions & I'll just take them as they come.
My TADAs so far:
* Got DD to preschool
* Worked at my office
* Made some phone calls for DH
My PODA:
* Get digital photos downloaded/printed
* Mop floors while DD is at my Mom's
* Pick up headlight bulb for my car
I am watching Desi & Lucy in "The Long, Long Trailer" right now. I love that old movie!! I have two Netflix movies to watch, too: "The Notebook" and "Oceans Twelve". I will probably wait for DH to watch Oceans Twelve with me.
Well, I'm gonna buzz now. I want to get a few things done before DD gets home.
Vonnie, you've done a great job with that project. Keep us posted. I'd like to watch the Notebook, let me know what you think. We watched Signs this weekend. I keep getting movies I've already seen (including that one) and not realizing it till I start the movie! Dumb!
Today has been quiet and productive. No coffee or lunch dates, just me. I got the wall cleaned and did a Zone, Wal-mart. DH came home for lunch. I hope to catch a quick nap before DD is home in 45 minutes. I have too few stay-at-home days even though I just work PT. Always busy at the kids' school, Scouts or something. I have to say I miss it. My life is so different now than it was when I was a FT SAHM when the kids were little. Being at home takes on a whole new meaning when your kids are at school though! Ahhhh, quiet.
Well, the boys room is clean. Went thru every nook and cranny. 3 garbage bags out to the trash. One full of out grown clothes and a box full of books to send to my aunt, she has a program that gets books into homes of kids that might never own a book! I am pooped! I would like to do some rearranging but not sure how to do it. Next is the craft/art cabinet. Not today though the rest of the day I am vegging and finishing up laundry.
Our puppy is so cute. I think he really helped me with the sadness this weekend!
Oh! And in other big news. DS7(in a week) has 2 bottom front teeth that will be coming out soon! He is so excited and I wanted to cry! Is he old enough to lose teeth???? NNNOOOOO he is NOT!!! Oh where does the time go!!!
Anne, Jana, I'm so sorry! How awful! I hope you are doing okay, Anne, I know how hard that is. Jana, I can imagine how shocking and sad your cirumstances are. ((((Hugs)))) to you both.
We did our WHB together again this week. Then Emma had a meltdown. Then we did HS-lite. Now I've got to gather everybody back together and restart for the afternoon. I need to do some ironing and folding of laundry and will get the girls to help in a minute. They need a five-min. heads up; they are so absorbed in what they are doing. They play "school" with their dinosaurs, of all things. Wish we could go outside, but DD6 has a tummy bug and doesn't feel like it.
Love y'all. ((((Hugs)))) to all ours experience sadness to day. And ((((Hugs)))) to Vonnie. I know the Lord will lead you right through this work thing. You've been up-front and very thorough.
Anne! I'm so sorry. We had to put our very old cats to sleep about a year ago -- it was very hard. We held them as it happened and we cried and cried. Sometimes I still think I see a cat sitting in the corner -- so used to having one around.
We are about to head out to dinner -- a kind friend offered to bring us dinner or have us eat there. We chose the latter! Our house is soooo stinky from paint and whatever they use to seal in soot. Well, just 2 more weeks with no stove! Gonna be bustin out the crockpot later this week, and hopefully the grill.
I did do some decluttering today, yay for me! Got my office straightened a bit so I can stand to work in it.

Anne, My heart aches for you. It is so hard to lose a beloved pet. I wish I could hug you right through all this plastic and glass.
Jana, That's awful! We lost our high school principal the same way when I was a student. It was terrible. I hope you have a counseling team in place for tomorrow.
Shaun, how are you doing? I hope you are not feeling too overwhelmed.
Andrea, I am giving you *such* a look!
Vonnie, I'm pulling for you. I've had some pretty good karma at work lately, I'll send you some.
Susannh, I TSed with DS13 again today, with loading the dishwasher. He is getting it and feeling much more competent, thus happier about doing those chores. Thanks for the idea!

we will have counseling teams and local pastors set up for the staff and kids. He was such a kind, gentle, positive man that it is so very shocking. We had talked Friday about 3:30 about all the things he wanted to do next year. Ideas he had, things he was looking into. Then bam at 10pm they found him dead. Very sad. I know there are many pieces of the puzzle that we will never understand. Here is a link to our local paper.
We've not yet expirienced the pain of losing a pet, so sorry your going threw this.
Jana, how awful. His family, students and teachers are in my prayers.
Today's been a busy day. Managed a few TADA's
*Morning routine done

*hung my summer windsock in the back yard
*hung the humming bird feeder
*played in the back yard with Trey and Savannah
for everyone on this thread at the moment it seems... just wanted to throw some sympathy out to Anne, Jana and again to Vonnie. I'm thinking of each of you dealing with your various troubles, hoping for easier times ahead soon.
Y'all are going through some very hard times! I'm so sorry.
I'm up early. My sleep schedule is messed up, and I probably will go back to bed in the near future. But I wanted to post the good news that I told my department about the baby and seem to have things worked out well.
I am so tired from the past week working on that project. I just hope that today will be quiet and uneventful. Maybe I won't hear anything from the board - at all, but at least not yet. I sure need a break!
We played t-ball out of town last night & lost. It was fun, though & that's what counts. We are scheduled to play out of town again tonight, but we may get rained out. I can't get the hourly forecast to pull up to see what the actual chance of rain is at game time, so I am not sure. Not that the forecast is right very often, anyway! I still have to wash & dry DD's uniform just in case.
Today's PODA:
* DD to preschool
* Work at my office (and hope not to hear from my project today)
* Print out info for team pictures to give out at game tonight or call and give to parents
* Laundry
* Iron my linen blouses so I can wear them when the weather is warmer again
* Figure out dinner
Not much on tap today. We've maintained the house pretty good from my manic-cleaning. I still want to do a few things & I need to add a couple of things on the declutter thread.
I hope everyone is having a better day today. I read my devotions and got started out good today so hopefully it will continue on.
Jana, that is horrible about the principle. I hope the community is doing ok.
Becky, glad the news went ok.
Anne, everything go ok there yesterday?
Enjoyed a nice breakfast out yesterday, helped dh with the tractor, got girls from school, had inlaws over for dinner (homemade beef/veggee soup and corn bread). DH had to work about 3, came in early at 9. I let the girls stay up til 9:15, a little too late, but they enjoyed playing with grammie.
Then at 2am got a scare. I woke up to pee (ya know how pregnant bladders are), and DH, who was on the sofa, did too. He came in OUR room to check on Chance. But honey, he was out there with you. So a frantic search throughout the house to find a sleeping toddler. Finally found him in his sisters bed. Funny thing was, he had closed the door to their room, which is how we always leave it. All is well, but boy, we were scared for a minute that he had snuck out of the house!
Today's plan:
*Shower and dress (I know, I know)
*put together another brocolli casserole (good thing I bought extra the other day. For a funeral at the church tomorrow, I was asked by bereavement committee to fix something)
*Take Chance to FIL (he's babysitting. Wish him AND Chance luck. FIL won't touch a diaper!!)
*drop off casserole (and see if I can get a church directory)
*Go by diesel/parts store and give them copy of bulk fuel permit and pay them $14,000 for the tanker load of diesel. (Ouch, I know!!)
*hmmm, I better call farm bank and have $14,000 transferred to my checking account from operating account!!
*Phone Coop elections (I'm a ballot counter)
*pick up all kids from FIL
*baseball practice tonight for DD7
Hopefully I get something productive done in between.

Well,what a nightmare weatherwise! We had a huge snowstorm come through Sunday night,lost power til Monday night and tons of downed trees and power lines laying in the roads. No school yesyerday as well due to all this. No damage to our cars or house so that is a blessing too.
DD's birthday party went well. She got alot of summer clothes,books,games and the make your own taco idea went over well with everyone.
When our old principal got up to speak and his voice cracked I thought I was gonna lose it. Everyone was in tears by the end. We are just so sad and confused.
Thankfully, being in a high school, the kids get it and are on their best behavior. Some have spoken about it, others have not but they have all been respectful.
Thanks for all the nice thoughts.
On a good note. DH got a promotion! He is excited! And I am excited but of course nervous of the change!! But it is a good thing in the midst of all this!
Somehow I missed your first post about this, reading thru too fast. What a tough situation. It must be very difficult.
I'm glad you have some good news for your family too, that's great!
Nothing much done today -- had to clear out *again* for the painters. We are a "small" job for this restoration firm -- a new suburban house has way more ceiling space and (I'm told) clutter, and obviously much more kitchen. I'm learning that the firm thinks like I do, "Oh, this won't take any time so I won't worry about it," and then it never gets done. Grrr . . .
Better get the rugrat off to bed and then try to do some work. Back to freelancing again.

OMgosh JennyE!!! I can just see Chance butt naked, and your FIL kicking back and laughing at his grandson!!! He'll probably be peeing on every tree in site!! ha ha
Jana-what an obscure thing, and so dramatic. My heart throb English teacher did the same thing, but took his wife with him..was a real freaky thing.
Thanks to all for the kind words about my Jake...I was a bit worried how the nite routine would be...but due to his illness, it was actually a bit of a relief...sad huh?
So I am still in scrub the house of kitty.
Tada
talked with my MOm!
rearranged furniture to vacumn baseboards and entire carpet in living room
dusted everything in living room!
took apart bookcase...pulled out and threw away 20 games/puzzles kids are growing out of...the preschool stuff is gone... kinda sad. But yep, I think we are done getting any more kids...
went thru all homeschool stuff and organized and inventory for summer school...
penciled out, chore list and organization for summer! (I am so ready for school to be out)
Poda
lunch dishes and miscellaneous in kitchen
start some rolls/hot pocket dough for dinner
p/u boys and play for a while!
mending this evening
Glad you found Chance Jenny, we've had a similar thing a time or two.
Anne, what a cool thing to say "I’m so ready for school to be out" My mom always said "I can't wait for school to start
Jana, congrats on DH's promotion!
Heidi, glad the party was a success.
Well I think I have ADHD I started out the day watching a "home" show on HGTV. There was a beautiful pool and patio so I walked outside and started looking at all the ways I could make our yard look better... "Uh, I could clean the tile in the pool", "re-paint the swing set", yaddy yaddy yaddy. Next thing I know I'm STANDING ON TOP of my stove?!? What the....
So nothing got done in the back yard but you could eat off almost ANY surface in my kitchen! Everything came off the top of the cabinets, cleaned the cabinets, and washed everything before I put it back. (i have lots of antique kitchen stuff up there as decoration) cleaned top of the fridge (i only have a large ivy plant up there but it's clean as well as the surface of the fridge. Cleaned the fronts of all the cabinets, all the counter tops, nice shinny sink, swept and mopped. Looks pretty darn good. Maybe Thursday I can get to the back yard?
So TADA, my kitchen's clean and that's ALL i've done today. Trey did pick up in the living room for me, he did a good job. We homeschooled while I cleaned, worked out pretty good.
JL, talk about sidetracked! LOL! I have the same problem, though.
Anne, glad it all went ok.
Jana, yay on the promotion!
Well, Chance survived the day with Granddaddy. Anne, your vision isn't far off! LOL! When I handed FIL the diapers, he gave me a half blank/half scared look. What am I going to do with these? When I told him he COULD need a diaper change, he said, "That's what a garden hose is for!" Luckily, he didn't need a change.
Did town stuff, did baseball stuff. I'm exhausted. And I just got the schedule for Saturday. Put it this way, I don't know what I'm going to do!! I'll be in town from 9:45 til 7:30pm with opening ceremonies, 2 games, and 2 sets of pictures. Then, somehow, and I don't know how I'm going to work this, must be BACK in town with NO KIDS for prom at 8? Please, Lord, clone me!!! LOL!
Nothing productive done other than what was listed. Dinner is hotdogs for the kids, I'm having a frozen pizza (which I really don't need. I'm really showing, in my maternity clothes already, and I had Sonic for lunch. But I love food!!!)
I've become addicted to this site again. I've been in agony all morning without it! LOL!
On the good side, I did manage to get MR done. Well, most of it anyway. All is up and dressed, kitchen is cleaned (except the piles of stuff breeding on the snack bar), dishes put away, laundry going.
Last night after I posted I found out my evening wasn't done with me yet. DH called, wanted dinner. So, fixed him some turkey sandwiches and loaded all the kids (in their pjs), into the truck and off to find the field, in the dark, that he was in. It wasn't one of our fields, that would have been easy. Someone elses, one of their many, many circles. Finally found him, and back home. Only to realize I missed all the rest of Nashville Star!
Today is just a home day (so far). Will have to pick the kids up from school, but other than that, I don't have to go anywhere, yet. Always subject to change at any moment, because that is my job description as a farmer's wife. I would really like to catch up on house work. My clothes from Old Navy came in, the dress was really adorable (Anne, I showed it to ya'll about a month ago. I got it in black floral instead of pink). Also capris and shortalls. I'll probably get too big for them by October, but won't be warm enough for them by then, either. Also got scrapbooking stuff I ordered, but haven't opened yet.
I don't have much time b/c DD is almost off the bus. I had another good day at home - I went in to DS's class, of course he ignored me while I read with another little girl! Got my PODA done, just want to do some gardening now. Jenny, we are having frozen pizza too because DS has a late baseball practice.
I think we'll do pancakes. I posted in the Homeschooling thread that we have homegroup tonight, but I may not go because O. still doesn't look 100% recovered yet, and they have a little baby in their house. I hate to miss, but also hate to spread around whatever we've got.
O. looked positively purple after having nothing but koolaid for lunch (she wouldn't eat the PB&honey sandwich). She was shivering, and covered up with a blanket on my bed, but she doesn't feel especially feverish. ??: What the heck is this?
Anyway, maybe I'll go out and rake a bit. Either that, or clean up my house. I can't decide what to do. I know one thing: I have to start washing my sheets, which I pulled off the bed this morning, right now or we'll be sleeping on a bare mattress tonight.
I'm just goofing off right now. I need a swat in the rear. Off you go, miss! Hie yourself to the laundry room right now!
I was in freak mode this am...way behind and watering plants, forgot I was due to do things..like send the boys off to school, I mean totally lost track of time...enjoying the cool morning, and spaced that I had children, that it was a school day!!! I hear my oldest...mom, shouldn't Gabriel and I go to school???
Yikes....I was in daydream mode.
Shook myself...and got going..
Tada
bills paid and dropped off
put Gas in van...eeeeeeek!
girls in costume and makeup...chinese girls to read
Tiki Tiki Tembo at the library program-the read the name, I did the rest...was fun
Dad couldn't do lunch or film program ...he was in a class
lunch at McNasty..and it was... ugh
Church moms group this morning, on the phone so far most of the afternoon . . . need to get something accomplished, but it is sooooo dreary lately I am not very motivated!
Hope your girl is feeling better soon, Susannah. Sounds miserable.
Painting is done for now -- yay! Nice to have breakfast and get ready for school without working around the painter and equipment. Still have almost 2 weeks until the stove. Can't wait, tho!
Better get some work done, hope to see big TADAs this evening from you all!
Shaun

Thanks to DS14 who is home from school for the forseeable future. He was suspended from school yesterday for ten days for drinking on the band trip last week.
I swear to you all that I am not making this life up. It seems like a bad comedy to me too, I mean really. What the heck did this family do to upset the gods so? Geez.
Anyway, here is DS14's TADA:
dishes
counters and stove
sink
caught up on all the laundry
swept floors, including the cellar floor
organized all the shoes/boots/coats in the cellar mudroom
cleaned his room spotless
scrubbed the shower
wrote 5 letters of apology
made dinner: goulash
I went to work for the morning, came home at noon to relieve DH and supervise the work crew. I also read and played with DD.
Oh Jo, I'd say "when it rains it pours" but that hardly touches your troubles of late. You are just an amazing woman to cope with it all the way you do. And I really think your DS will weather all this and come out to be a great adult! I'll keep praying for you all.
Not much done this afternoon -- too much time on the phone! This is why I like e-mail, folks. I type fast, so it's quick and easy.
Gotta get the clothes set out for AM -- better check the weather first. We had some kind of snow-hail during the sunshine. Must be spring in Minnesota!

I don't even know what to say. I've had times in my life though where I did get to a point that I didn't want to tell anyone anything, like you said, it sort of felt too wild to be true. I don't know why but things do tend to happen like that, one right after another. Please know that you and your family are in my prayers.
Today was HS park day and we spent 3 hours there, much more than usual, so didn't get much done around here. I'll make up for it tomorrow.
Gosh Jo! Definatly something you don't need. But 10 days seems a bit extreme? Will that affect his attendence, will he be held back a grade?
Makes my problem seem pretty little. Though thankfully JL called me so I could vent to her. Both girls have practice at the same time at different places Friday. When me and another mom in the same dilemia talked to the coach (who is an aide at the school), she just shrugged her shoulders and said, oh well. GRRR!!!
On the good side, I did get my riding mower fixed, all by myself. Put new blades on, new belt, put the entire mower deck back on (not a small feat for a prego lady!), and replaced the clutch cable. Yep, I'm feeling very manly and mechanical today! LOL!
Tomorrow is another day. Let's see what it will bring. DH should be in about midnight or so, so we won't get to see him today. Wheatlege will be over in another week...
DD was up right on my heels this morning. All I managed to do before she woke up was brew a cup of coffee and put my bedsheets in the washer. She's on the sofa now, half-watching a cartoon. She'll probably go back to sleep for a half hour or so.
Today's my day not to go into the office (woohoo- I needed it!), so I have a longer PODA than I've been having:
* Get DD to preschool
* Haircut for myself at 9:00 a.m.
* Laundry - launder DD's bedsheets as well; get everything done & put away
* Unload & reload dishwasher
* Make menu plan & grocery list (I've started this one!)
* Sweep floors including my bedroom
* Haircut for DD at 2:00 p.m.
* Work on cataloging picture CDs (I've done about 7; have tons to go!)
* Remake our beds
* Clean sink & potty (I did the tub and laundered the shower curtain, put up new liner last night)
Lots of little things today. Maybe I'll fit in a Netflix movie while I'm doing stuff this morning. I need to watch them & get them back or it's not really a deal for me. I did get the first disk of "Airline" yesterday. I love that show! I watched it on A & E last night. Does anyone else like it?
Well, I need to get up from this computer and get at 'em! Y'all have a wonderful day!
When kids do hair brain things you just want to shake them! But really, just giggle! Do it, right now, giggle! Some time in the future your son will have kids and you will both laugh at this. "Hey, mom, remember when I did XY&Z?" And you will both laugh. So just jump start the laughter.....giggle now. Now, I can't promise the giggle won't turn into tears but that is okay too! And of course don't laugh in front of him but to yourself you have to! Even if you have to force yourself at first just laugh. It is a great stress releiver. Just think, you could write a book some day.
Take a deep breath and remember, He gives you no more than you can handle. Even when YOU think you have had enough.
You are a good mother, don't forget that. His TADA proves that!
Chance and I have spent the morning mowing. And mowing. I need to weedeat still, and have more mowing todo. It's a little windy out, supposed to get worse and continue til tomorrow. ugh.
Got things worked out for kids ball practices. I knew it would, yesterday I was just stressed about it.
I knew you'd work it out. All that fret for nothing.
Not much of a TADA but I did get groceries and ran by BB&B to get a cute patio rug I seen in their paper. It looks like over lapping beach balls Also got a nice big tub for cold drinks outside. With there $5 off coupon it was a pretty good deal.
Savannah's crying, better put her down for a nap.
Talk to you guys later.
JL
for Jo! My DH got suspended from a band trip for smoking pot, once upon a time. And he turned out to be a pretty darn good guy.
Tomato stake that guy for the next ten days! Don't let him out of your sight! He sticks with mom! Sounds like you're giving him consequences, so he'll be sure to learn from it.
Well, I don't have a single thing to report re: flying except that I got the clean sheets back on my bed by 1 a.m. Ahhhh. Clean sheets!
But, we homeschooled today. Skipped P.E. DD6 still looks like she's not 100% herself. Plus, I have a mom's meeting tonight in the same town and I'd like to conserve gas for that. (Yeah, I'm a selfish mom!)
On my PODA right now is to clean house. Yipee! Round robin time.
I hate posting back to back, but I finally did some flying and have a legitimate reason for being here.
*Straightened LR
*Got rid of wicker thing with 3 drawers in it. Two of three drawers have holes, so I turned the holey sides to the wall and stacked them without the stand, which is in the garage headed to the dump. (The drawers hold videos, otherwise I'd throw 'em out.)
*Vacuumed
*Jump-started laundry
*Put all of DH's "keeper" magazines in a rubbermaid tote. Now I can't lift the tote! [whine]Why can't we collect *nice* stuff?[/whine]
*Threw away a garbage bag full of paper.
*Threw away a feather pillow somebody barfed on.
Not much, but as far as I'm concerned it redeemed the day.
Frankly, I'm just so doggone tired from t-ball and working and stress, I just didn't push myself much today. Thankfully, we've kept the house pretty clean, so there's not too much to do anyway. I want to keep it picked up since we'll be gone from morning till night tomorrow (DD has dr. appt. in city 60 miles away & we might stay and have dinner w/friends who live there). I want to get up really early tomorrow morning and get everything spic 'n span before we leave for school/work.
I do have a few TADAs, however:
* Got DD to preschool
* Got haircut
* Laundry -finished all bedsheets; got everything done & put away
* Unloaded & reloaded dishwasher
* Haircut for DD
* Remade our beds
Still to go:
* Sweep floors
* Grocery list & hopefully grocery store this evening
* Clean sink & potty
Well, enough computer time. Grill is heating; need to make my super-duper hamburger patties for it!
I have been go go go...all week...from sunup to down...
DH stayed home today with the thought of going out of town, to get his glasses fixed and get new ones...our local doc was able to fix his, but he got an appointment for tomorrow! So we did running around, that needed to be done, before he leaves next week, to Virginia.
He bought me a hedge trimmer...and wowza...I went wild....I have a walk way in the back yard...Have banker's roses that are over 6 ft tall, and were 5 feet wide, I cut back to 2 feet wide...and left the hight due to the roses are just coming in now...yellow roses that cover the bush for about 3 weeks, then green bush.
Tada
trimmed rose bush
mowed both lawns-dh weedeated
fertilized back lawn
moved patio couch out with set...and umbrella!
2 loads of laundry
girls are in tub waiting for me
Poda
Eric to piano....then him into shower
had Wendy's for dinner, and Frosty's in the freezer, awaiting, everyone being clean!
Read some Swiss Family Robinson to kidlets
Kids to bed, and me shower...and get this bra off! lol
Jo! aaargh! I hate being the jailer...but it is a necessary thing....rough one....
Jenny, I love working on equipment...makes me feel so virtuous?
heys to all! Will try to do a bit more personnal tomorrow.???
Well, got more mowing done. I moved the swing set, mowed some more. Cleaned off most of the slab. Put away tools from yesterday. Weedeated the whole yard. Mowed non-yard parts, too. I have about 70 pages to go on Little Women. There IS a light at the end of the tunnel!! LOL!
DH is out again til midnight, kids wanted grilled cheese sandwiches (though I would have rather gone out to Juanito's as I had planned after ball practice with a friend who is expecting and her hubby. But practice was moved to tomorrow, so there goes that). Not sure what I will have just yet. Maybe fried egg and cheese sandwiches.
Have a nice night!
Since we don't have much call to go to Wendy's for burgers, I never have Frostys anymore! Yum, they are good.
Major TADAs:
Ordered new bookshelf for my office (this took a *ton* of searching)
Went thru our drawers and the girls' to switch out seasons and choose some clothes for our church swap shop.
Clothes did not come today, but are supposed to come tomorrow AM, so I wanted closets and drawers ready. Yay, I can't wait!
Gonna go read in bed with hubby -- oh the exciting lives we lead . . .

Anderea, hope ds is feeling better and hope you get your day figured out.
Anne, don't you just hate water restriction! I have to refill the pool illegally all the time in the summer.

We're going to Owl Pellet dissecting class at another homeschoolers home this afternoon. YUCK Trey will probably love it!
Oh, TADA from late yesterday afternoon. Trey, Savannah, and I delivered the HOA newsletters, only one street, but a very long street. Trey loved it so I guess we'll volunteer every month.
Anne-bagels are my favorite starch! Are you a cream cheese or butter type of girl?? Mine must be toasted and smeared with cream cheese.
Andrea- My Ds used to call about headaches every other month. I got the pediatrician to sign a standing order for tylenol and dropped off a bottle of Tylenol with the school nurse. This way she can give it to him and he can go back to class. Now that I did that,he hasn't had a single one....hmmmmm
The IEP meeting well really well. If I was in that same meeting a couple years back I would have been confused and intimidated. Now,armed with knowledge, I knew what I wanted and asked for it. They incorporated all my requests into his IEP for next year. I feel empowered for sure. Enough of that.
TADA
all my PODA plus pulled weeds
Have a good night,see ya tomorrow.
Heidi
PS Did anyone participate in Take your Kid to Work Day yesterday? Ds went to work with DH at lunch time and stayed the rest of the afternoon. DH put him to work,DS said that school is easier!!!!LOL
Should have been more clear, it's "Homeowners Association"
We "celebrated" Take your kids to work day by writing a VERY (ds's not a big writer yet) short SA on "what you'd like to be when you grow up"
Well the owl pellet dissection wasn't as bad as I thought it might be, Trey liked it. We had about 9 kids in all, pretty good turn out. The kids had kool aid and watermelon when it was over.
Time for Savannah to take a short nap, think I'll join her.
See yall tomorrow.
JL
Heidi, I'm so glad your IEP meeting went well. You sound like a parent who uses the knowledge well! I didn't know about take your kid to work until I saw teachers at school with their own kids! Bummer! Maybe next year.
Jamie Lea, my son would love the owl class too!
Hi Jo! Yes, maybe DS14 can be an honorary member! I'm sure he'd love it - ha!
Anne, what kind of steam cleaner do you have?
Well, sure nuf, DS seemed much better once he got home. It hit him during writing workshop right when he got to school, very suspicious. He is at a birthday party now. DH is at a work picnic and DD and I are home alone, will eat later when DH gets home (he's not eating at the picnic - too cold). We have opening day for Little League tomorrow and then DS8 has his first game. DD6 also has dance in the am and that's about it. I may try to shop, but may not. My parents are flying in Monday night and will be here in their apartment for May and June. So our schedules will be changing, including meals and cooking. I'm looking forward to having them here - for the help they give, but also just being near them! We've lived in different towns now for 20 years and it has been interesting to be only a mile away from them since they got the apartment a year ago. Ok, enough blathering.
Anne, I feel the same way about Little Women. I've checked it out several times and couldn't even get past the first chapter. But, DD7 read a shortened version of it, so I vowed to read it. Ugh. At least it's almost done. No, I didn't finish it last night, it put me to sleep, again. Maybe I can turn it in tomorrow.
Andrea, mighty suspicious...
I'm tired and going to TRY to rest for just an hour. Or less. We've been field tripping all day. Went to the coke canners in town, that was really pretty cool. Chance was fairly well behaved. Then to a state park, where the kids fed ducks at the pond, had a cookout (roasted hotdogs in a big roaster. The wind was blowing a bit, just about 25MPH). Chance was he usual demon self, had to keep him from diving in the pond with the ducks, and just running around. I'm actually sore today from carrying the kicking and screaming little toot. I then had to hit Walmart because we were nearly out of any food in the house (ok, that's an exaggeration. But needed milk, eggs, cheese and bread, among other thing. What am I going to fix without those!!??). Chance was again, his usual self. I treated myself to a milkshake at Sonic, came back to school, picked up girls, worked out final arrangment for practice tonight, got the groceries unloaded and most all put away. Leave in about 45 mins. for practice. The winds are still blowing, and the temp has just dropped 15 degrees in the past hour. NOT looking forward to tonight.
Every winter, while my lawn tractor hibernates, it dreams up new and interesting ways to drive me crazy in the spring. This year, my usual schtick of adding fuel stabilizer, cleaning the filters, and changing the battery didn't work. It was me against the machine. I begged, I pleaded, and I threatened it with a sledgehammer. I even told my dear little Husqvarna that I would gladly trade it in for a couple of goats. Husky's response was an anemic little squeak when I tried to start it.
So, off to the Tractor Supply Center I went. That's when I started to feel like I was channeling our dear JennyE. My confidence began to return as I gazed upon the vast array of lawn tractor implements. I scooped up a fresh spark plug, battery terminal cleaner, some new bolts for the battery terminals, and a thingie that cleans battery terminals. A few squirts here, a little tweaking there .. and that Husky roared.
It's a good thing. I don't know the first thing about goats!!
I wish I felt better after coming home like all y'all's kids, but unfortunately I don't. The Crohn's colitis is being mischievous, but I got some meds at the doctor today so am hoping to feel better again soon. Meanwhile I definitely do NOT love food. But I think I might boil up some hot dogs (now that it's 10 p.m.!) and try to force those down for protein. I need to get some more Boost soon so I can avoid eating some more. At least I'm taking my vitamins!
No flying here, mostly just collapsing into bed whenever I'm home. Which is a lot, so there's a lot of collapsing into bed. I hope to get at least a load of laundry done tomorrow.

Heidi, a friend of mine called in a panic last night b/c she has an IEP meeting for her son on Thursday and has some very specific things in mind. Do you know if there is a good website I could refer her to regarding parental rights in the IEP process? It sounds like you are very confident and that's just what she needs.
Becky, I hope you feel better soon. I was never a happy/glowing pregnant woman, I exhausted and had such morning sickness I lost weight through every pregnancy.
Rose, I've got a persnickety Toro over here, want to do a house call?
Rose, ya know, coke works wonders on battery terminals. I wouldn't waste a real coke, but Pepsi and Sam's cola work, too. Wish we had a Tractor Supply. I loved watching the commercials with George Strait. But we have every other farm store, I guess. Glad you got 'er started. Mine is a Craftsman, it's convienent to just go online and order any part you need, but hate that I have to wait for it to ship in (actually, it didn't take too long.
DD7's practice was called short on account of the bitter cold wind. Or so it seemed. It felt in the 40's, which if you are used to 70's and 80's, is cold. We tossed the ball a little, passed out uniforms, and called it a day. DD5's practice went on as scheduled (wasn't quite as windy, being in town). Got her uniform. Got MY uniform (I'm NOT wearing that cap!!!). Then we went with our new friends out for Chinese! Yum!! Back home so I could watch the last 10 minutes of Third Watch (I'm upset the show is cancelled. Next episode is it). Kids and I watched Back to the Future. Didn't sleep well, neither did Chance. Very snuggly, but lots of tossing and turning for him.
Busy day today. I want to leave in about an hour, so I really shouldn't be on here. Oh, well. Gotta get clothes ready for prom tonight and take to town. It's 37 outside right now, gotta figure out something for the kids to wear under uniforms (It's supposed to hit 68, but I have a hard time seeing that right now). FIL is coming to get Chance soon, they will all go to Clovis for a fun day of farm implement auction (yawn. But they love it!).
I was hoping to drop the girls' at a friend's house to deal with the massive delivery of laundry we got yesterday. Basically every stitch of fabric that was in the house during the fire was taken out and then came back in plastic bags. (That includes the clothes I had sorted by size and by "save for Iris," "save for quilting," "sell," and "give away." Not sorted now! ) Takes up the whole upstairs!
But DD6 is having lots of allergy-asthma troubles and all my friends seem to have cats! So not sure how I'm going to proceed with this day. Maybe I should just send DH out with the girls?
I did get a lot put away yesterday, which is what makes the massive piles left so daunting -- I barely made a dent!
Well, I'm sure another cup of coffee will help me think it through!
Hello to all (and nice to see you Rose!), have a great weekend!

DH is in LasCruces helping another church today.
He is preaching Sunday nite here...very exciting!! He got a funny news blurp about a deadly 30 inch burrito in Clovis??? Oh Jenny....I will have to find the link...it is so funny, had school in lock down! It made MSN news on the puter last nite....he is using it in his sermon...things aren't always as they appear...? I love to laugh while serving my God!!
Jo, thanks for the sympathy. I wish this illness were pregnancy-related! I like my pregnancy symptoms because I know they can't last past November. That fact alone makes me smile.
Shaun, it's okay, the laundry will be all right. If you can't get it all done today you can get it done tomorrow or the next day. Is there a "mother's day out" center where you can leave the girls for a bit?
Is prom tonight, Jenny? Have fun!
I think I might actually get some laundry done today. And I have dishes piled up, bad flybaby. I also need to force down some food.
That sounds just miserable. I will be praying for you.
Well, DH's contract with the college was not renewed for next year. Then, our well pump broke. So we don't have any water. But it's going okay, we're borrowing from our neighbors down the street and I just washed my hair with their hose water. LOL! And the job thing has been up in the air for a while, so it's not a complete surprise.
Today I took the kids to "Ick"Donald's and worked on a proofing job I've been given, while they played a bit. (I actually ate Taco Bell, ahem.) I got 30 min. of proofing done. TA DA! I also managed to wash dishes using a dishpan and a big bowl of rinse water. (The rest are hiding in the dishwasher.) I also went to the store about a billion times today, or so it seemed. I think I ran to town on four or five different errands. Got paper plates and plastic cups, and bottled water, among other things.
Just cleaned up and vacuumed the living room, and swept and damp-mopped the kitchen. The carpets are ickier than ever right now. Bleah. It takes a lot of water to clean this home! Never realized. I think I might spot clean with a cloth and a little bottle of water, just to make myself feel better. Wish I could afford to pull it all up.
On the bright side, I'm going to paint the girls room with the pink paint I have leftover from the living room, which I never finished because the color was too little-girly. It won't be enough paint, but I can paint their alcove a complementary color. First, I have to prep the walls.
Jo- I wasn't able to post the other day and wouldn't you know it...your friend needed some advice! I am sorry. How did her IEP meeting go? She can google "learning disabilities" and come up with lots of sites. Here are some off the top of my head:www.schwablearning.org or www.ld.org. Even if she had the meeting and signed the IEP for next year,She can always request a meeting to make changes. She is not stuck with that IEP for an entire year if it is not up to par.
Sorry folks.....

DH worked Sturday and is working today. He told this customer that he didn't have time for her project and she guilttripped him into doing it. So he will have worked 12 days straight this Friday! Yuk....
Susannah, I wish I lived closer so I could take ya'll in for a while for some water! Sorry about DH's job. Ya know, I'm sleeping with a board member here, does he have a highschool teaching license and/or football coach stuff? LOL!
Yesterday was...exhausting! LOL! Lots of driving all over town. Ate lunch at Pizza Slut with our new friends. Smiled for my own pictures (ugh. why do a picture of just the coaches? I really don't care about that! LOL! Guess I'll scrapbook it anyway). It was cold all morning, and didn't warm up to what I would have liked it to. This happened last year, first of May and in the 50's and 60's for the highs! Ugh. I want 80's back!
Prom was fun, though! Played quite a few country songs. In fact, quite a few of the boys there said they wouldn't dance to the other crap. "Other crap" was tejano and hip hop (whoops, they didn't play edited versions!). DH was just in awe or shock over the way the girls danced! His jaw hit the floor and made him wish HE was in that class! There were 4 girls in his class, 2 didn't dance AT ALL and 1 was just plain annoying, and the other one was glued to her boyfriends side. The dinner was pretty good, prophesies and wills were funny. But I came home and crashed!
Today I HAVE to do stuff. Laundry, cleaning, water the garden. Lots of stuff. Hopefully I'll have a TADA later.
The house isn't in bad shape at all, but there are some "extra" things I want to tackle today.
Heidi, My friend's meeting is this coming Thursday. Her DS9 has an out-of-district placement which has worked really well for the past two years. Because he has made such progress, they want to put him back in the local public school, which she feels would not be the best placement. It is cheaper for the school though, and they told her they weren't going to pay anymore, so it looks like she is gearing up for a fight. Thanks for the site advice, I will send it to her.

Susannah, that is so weird! We had the same problem with our water pump two weeks ago, and it died while I was in the shower with soapy skin and hair full of conditioner, of course. I had to rinse off with cold bottled water; boy was I wide awake that day. It is true though, how much water we do use without even noticing. I hope you get yours fixed soon, and that something great works out for DH.
DD has had her first friend spend-the-night company! A t-ball friend spent the night last night. We really like this family, have a lot in common with them. I always tell DH I want a "couple" friends with kids our DD's age to do things with - someone we don't feel like we can't be ourselves with, y'know? Well, we've been gifted with TWO couples in the past month! One couple goes to our church and has two boys. And then this couple, who has a daughter the same age as DD. Lord, though, she has waist-length hair, so I had to dry and fix it this morning for church. But, I think I did pretty good - we made both Sunday School and church! I'm definitely not used to more than one kid!
Speaking of which, my heart has really changed recently about having another child. We'd LOVE to adopt again, but the money just isn't there & probably won't be there for a while. I've always said I didn't want to be pregnant, etc. but now I feel like maybe we should just give it one more try. Maybe we didn't have a bio before because then we would have never went the adoption route and found our precious DD. I'm 37 yrs old & I really don't want to have a baby after 39 or 40. So, "now or never" is kind of the mantra, I suppose. I've actually already used an ovulation tester yesterday & today. We'll see what happens, I suppose. It may just be my own mind "wanting" a baby, and not really an indication that it is the right timing now. We'll find out...
My TADAs so far:
* Got myself up and completely ready before anyone else got up
* Got DD and friend up, fed breakfast, baths and dressed & ready for S.S. and church
* Laundry
* Made all beds and general straightening up of strewn toys, etc.
* Cooked out burgers & hotdogs and cleaned it all up
* Load & run dishwasher
* Watching the Talladega race!!! Woohoo!
My PODA:
* Finish watching the race while DH takes the girls bike riding (thanks, DH!)
* Finish the laundry
* Unload dishwasher when it finishes running
* Choir practice at 4:30
* Just relax a little!
* Look at my calendar for this week
I hope everyone is having a beautiful day! Let's remember to be nice to ourselves in addition to our PODA lists! That goes for me, too!
Jo- so glad that it is next Thursday. She can call a local LDA chapter and request someone to accompany her to the meeting or at least speak with her beforehand. Most do not charge a fee or if so,it is reasonable.
Vonnie-Two kids are an eye opener for sure! I hope the decision goes without too much agonizing. Have you ever considered fostering on a temporary basis? Or would that be harder for you? Good luck...
Jenny-anxious to see prom pictures soon on your site. Our high school had theirs last night and those poor girls in their spaghetti strap dresses when the temps were in the 40's. Who woulda thunk it??
Chilly here too. But we went to an indoor water park late afternoon -- had an awesome time! Both DDs had a ball.
So Vonnie I can recommend 2 kids based on personal experience. Good luck to you!
Susannah I will put you on the prayer list (or is it just moving you up a little higher on it? ) for a little peace. Just a little, eh?
Jenny, I was cringing just thinking of a bunch of teens dancing around to unedited hip hop - ugh! I have always remembered a night in college when I was out dancing and a truly X-rated version of a hip-hop radio song came on -- suddenly I felt more like a go-go dancer than a kid having fun. I had to leave the bar! But then I have a rather severe sense of propriety for public activity. (Get to know me, however, and I will tell you some seriously dirty jokes in private! )
Laundry dented, but not at all finished -- bags everywhere, and hangers too. Thanks for the encouragement Becky, hope you start feeling better.

First time in a couple weeks DH was actually home for dinner! wow! Didn't clean up afterwards much, I don't feel like unloading the clean dishwasher. I'll do it in the morning. Bad flybaby.
Sorry Heidi, I forgot the camera. So no prom pics. But you really wouldn't have wanted to see us anyway. LOL!

Morning!
HI everyone -
Jo, I hate to tell you this, but I have one more day off - today.
Have a good day and week everyone!
Andrea
Sad day here...big ol' lump in throat.
Oh, Anne! I'm so sorry about
It rained yesterday and hard last night, not sure if he will have to work or not swathing.
so sorry
Sorry to hear that Anne, must be hard for everyone!
Sounds good Jenny! Yum!
Well, I'm off to Wal-Mart
Anne - I am so sorry to hear about your cat.
Just like losing a family member.
Check in later!
Jana
Oh, Anne!
* Got DD to preschool
* Worked at my office
* Made some phone calls for DH
My PODA:
* Get digital photos downloaded/printed
Vonnie
check in
HI all!
Jana, what a nightmare for your school, wow.
Bye guys -
Andrea
The Notebook is a good movie!
Jana
Oh, My Goodness
Susannah
Quick check in

Yes, Jo we have a meeting first thing in the am and then
we will have counseling teams and local pastors set up for the staff and kids. Here is a link to our local paper.

tough times
for everyone on this thread at the moment it seems... just wanted to throw some sympathy out to Anne, Jana and again to Vonnie. I'm thinking of each of you dealing with your various troubles, hoping for easier times ahead soon.
Kerri.
sorry Anne, Jana, and Vonnie
Y'all are going through some very hard times! I'm so sorry.
I'm up early. My sleep schedule is messed up, and I probably will go back to bed in the near future. But I wanted to post the good news that I told my department about the baby and seem to have things worked out well.

Love and hugs to all of you.

Hoping for a Quiet Day
I am so tired from the past week working on that project.
* DD to preschool
* Work at my office (and hope not to hear from my project today)
* Print out info for team pictures to give out at game tonight or call and give to parents
* Laundry
* Iron my linen blouses so I can wear them when the weather is warmer again
* Figure out dinner
Not much on tap today. We've maintained the house pretty good from my manic-cleaning. I still want to do a few things & I need to add a couple of things on the declutter thread.
I hope everyone is having a better day today. I read my devotions and got started out good today so hopefully it will continue on.
Bye!
Vonnie
Morning!

Anne and Jana-my thoughts go out your way.....
Better get going.Have a good day.
Heidi
Well, the meeting this morning was very emotional.
Jana
Sorry Jana

Visions of a Naked Chance...lol
OMgosh JennyE!!! I can just see Chance butt naked, and your FIL kicking back and laughing at his grandson!!! He'll probably be peeing on every tree in site!! ha ha
kinda sad. But yep, I think we are done getting any more kids...

Afternoon all
Glad you found Chance Jenny, we've had a similar thing a time or two.
Anne, what a cool thing to say "I’m so ready for school to be out" My mom always said "I can't wait for school to start
Jana, congrats on DH's promotion!
Heidi, glad the party was a success.
Well I think I have ADHD
I started out the day watching a "home" show on HGTV.
Time to figure out dinner.
See you guys
JL
Tired.
Ah, at last!
I'm stalling. Yes. I know. I'll go now.
HI finally!
It was weird not being able to get on!
I don't have much time b/c DD is almost off the bus. I had another good day at home - I went in to DS's class, of course he ignored me while I read with another little girl! Got my PODA done, just want to do some gardening now. Jenny, we are having frozen pizza too because DS has a late baseball practice.
Andrea
Wish I had some pizza
Later!

So Clean You Could Eat Off the Floors
Gotta go bathe DD.
Bye,
Jo
(((((Jo!)))))
Shaun

((((Jo)))))
I don't even know what to say. I've had times in my life though where I did get to a point that I didn't want to tell anyone anything, like you said, it sort of felt too wild to be true. I don't know why but things do tend to happen like that, one right after another. Please know that you and your family are in my prayers.
Today was HS park day and we spent 3 hours there, much more than usual, so didn't get much done around here. I'll make up for it tomorrow.
See yall then.
JL
Gosh Jo! Definatly something
Up Early, But Not Early Enough!
* Get DD to preschool
* Haircut for myself at 9:00 a.m.
* Laundry - launder DD's bedsheets as well; get everything done & put away
* Unload & reload dishwasher
* Make menu plan & grocery list (I've started this one!)
* Sweep floors including my bedroom
* Haircut for DD at 2:00 p.m.
* Work on cataloging picture CDs (I've done about 7; have tons to go!)
* Remake our beds
Vonnie
(((((Jo))))) more hugs and peace vibes sent your way!
Jana
Finally
Haven't been able to get on all day!
Sheesh, all morning and that's all I got! huh.
Told ya Jenny
I knew you'd work it out. All that fret for nothing.
Not much of a TADA but I did get groceries and ran by BB&B to get a cute patio rug I seen in their paper. It looks like over lapping beach balls
Also got a nice big tub for cold drinks outside. With there $5 off coupon it was a pretty good deal.
Savannah's crying, better put her down for a nap.
Talk to you guys later.
JL
Encouragement...
Love y'all!
Susannah
TA DAs
Love,
Susannah
Not Pushing Myself at All Today
Frankly, I'm just so doggone tired from t-ball and working and stress, I just didn't push myself much today. Thankfully, we've kept the house pretty clean, so there's not too much to do anyway. I want to keep it picked up since we'll be gone from morning till night tomorrow (DD has dr. appt. in city 60 miles away & we might stay and have dinner w/friends who live there). I want to get up really early tomorrow morning and get everything spic 'n span before we leave for school/work.
I do have a few TADAs, however:
* Got DD to preschool
* Got haircut
* Laundry -finished all bedsheets; got everything done & put away
* Unloaded & reloaded dishwasher
* Haircut for DD
* Remade our beds
Still to go:
* Sweep floors
* Grocery list & hopefully grocery store this evening
* Clean sink & potty
Well, enough computer time. Grill is heating; need to make my super-duper hamburger patties for it!
Y'all have a great evening!
Vonnie
I'm back
little TADA to report
*spiffied the kitchen
*cleaned half bath
*One load of laundry put away (one more to go)
Biggest TADA! Trey picked up all the toys (mostly Savannah's) from the family room floor and vacuumed!! He did a very good job.
if I am too busy to post here, I am just too busy...lol
I have been go go go...all week...from sunup to down...
So we did running around, that needed to be done, before he leaves next week, to Virginia.
DH stayed home today with the thought of going out of town, to get his glasses fixed and get new ones...our local doc was able to fix his, but he got an appointment for tomorrow!
Oh, Anne! Frosties!!! Yummy
Oh, Anne! Frosties!!! Yummy!!!
Susannah, I emailed ya.
JL, yay on Trey vacuuming!
Mmmmm, Frostys
Since we don't have much call to go to Wendy's for burgers, I never have Frostys anymore! Yum, they are good.
Major TADAs:
Ordered new bookshelf for my office (this took a *ton* of searching)
Went thru our drawers and the girls' to switch out seasons and choose some clothes for our church swap shop.
Clothes did not come today, but are supposed to come tomorrow AM, so I wanted closets and drawers ready. Yay, I can't wait!
Gonna go read in bed with hubby -- oh the exciting lives we lead . . .

Well, my day off has changed already after a call from the school nurse. DS8 has a headache. Hmmmmm. so I went to get him and am now figuring out how to go to DD's field trip and lunch with a friend.
Andrea
Good Morning
Anderea, hope ds is feeling better and hope you get your day figured out.
Anne, don't you just hate water restriction! I have to refill the pool illegally all the time in the summer.

We're going to Owl Pellet dissecting class at another homeschoolers home this afternoon. YUCK Trey will probably love it!
Oh, TADA from late yesterday afternoon. Trey, Savannah, and I delivered the HOA newsletters, only one street, but a very long street. Trey loved it so I guess we'll volunteer every month.
Ok, gotta run, see yall this afternoon.

Good Evening! Jamielea-is
Good Evening!
Jamielea-is HOA Homeschool Of America??

PS Did anyone participate in Take your Kid to Work Day yesterday? Ds went to work with DH at lunch time and stayed the rest of the afternoon. DH put him to work,DS said that school is easier!!!!LOL

Well the owl pellet dissection wasn't as bad as I thought it might be, Trey liked it. We had about 9 kids in all, pretty good turn out.
The kids had kool aid and watermelon when it was over.
Time for Savannah to take a short nap, think I'll join her.
See yall tomorrow.

evening check in
HI all!
Have a nice evening guys!
Andrea
Anne, I feel the same way abo
Ya'll have a nice evening!
I was channeling JennyE today!!
Rose
go Rose!

Everyone, have a wonderful Saturday!
-Jo
Rose, ya know, coke works won
Really have to go! bye!
What to do today?
Where is my personal secretary?

I have solved the drought!

And then a downpour is guarenteed....sorta like washing the car...lol. so the room is cleaned and ready to steam clean...will probably do Monday...need a dry day...the carpet is my plushest. So will take a while to dry even in the desert!

I love to laugh while serving my God!!
uh...
Congratulations on solving the drought Anne?
Jo, thanks for the sympathy. I wish this illness were pregnancy-related! I like my pregnancy symptoms because I know they can't last past November. That fact alone makes me smile.
Shaun, it's okay, the laundry will be all right. If you can't get it all done today you can get it done tomorrow or the next day. Is there a "mother's day out" center where you can leave the girls for a bit?
Is prom tonight, Jenny? Have fun!
I think I might actually get some laundry done today. And I have dishes piled up, bad flybaby. I also need to force down some food.
So sorry, Becky
DH says I'm typing too loud, so gotta go!
Love,
Susannah
Good Morning! Jo- I wasn't
Good Morning!
PODA

Better get some more coffee.....
Have a great day
Heidi
Morning!
Going For It
The house isn't in bad shape at all, but there are some "extra" things I want to tackle today.

Have a lovely Sunday ladies,
-Jo
A Different Kind of Weekend
* Got myself up and completely ready before anyone else got up
* Got DD and friend up, fed breakfast, baths and dressed & ready for S.S. and church
* Laundry
* Made all beds and general straightening up of strewn toys, etc.
* Cooked out burgers & hotdogs and cleaned it all up
* Load & run dishwasher
* Watching the Talladega race!!! Woohoo!
My PODA:
* Finish watching the race while DH takes the girls bike riding (thanks, DH!)
* Finish the laundry
* Unload dishwasher when it finishes running
* Choir practice at 4:30
* Just relax a little!
* Look at my calendar for this week
I hope everyone is having a beautiful day! Let's remember to be nice to ourselves in addition to our PODA lists! That goes for me, too!
Love y'all!
Vonnie
Jo- so glad that it is next T
Better go read with DS and bathe DD....
See ya all in the morning
Heidi
Brrr!
(Get to know me, however, and I will tell you some seriously dirty jokes in private!
)
Laundry dented, but not at all finished -- bags everywhere, and hangers too. Thanks for the encouragement Becky, hope you start feeling better.

Not much of a TADA
3 loads of laundry
took all the trash out of the garage and dumped them in the schools dumpsters
Picked up the girls
cleaned one side of the desk (bought paper trays for my printer papers like checks, etc.)
just some general picking up. Didn't really amount to much
First time in a couple weeks DH was actually home for dinner! wow! Didn't clean up afterwards much, I don't feel like unloading the clean dishwasher. I'll do it in the morning. Bad flybaby.
Sorry Heidi, I forgot the camera. So no prom pics. But you really wouldn't have wanted to see us anyway. LOL!
See ya'll in the morning with a new thread!!!
