Family Hugs

Please give your families all an extra warm hug tonight, every day that they are safe is a miracle. Last night my father was involved in a serious car crash. He was driving his Porsche with 2 boys (28yo) who were interested in buying it from him. Only 1/4 mile from home, and on a slight bend over an embankment he lost control and for some reason the car slid, falling down the steep embankment, taking out a fire hydrant, fencing, a pole and a tree on the long roll down. My dad has driven the road for 20 years and has owned the car since new 7 years ago.

Somehow the three of them managed to get out alive. I was there within 5 mins treating them at the scene, but if you saw the car you would see if it wasn't a car that was built to withstand high impact crashes the three of them would be dead. The two men are my boyfriends mates; one his boss and the other his best friend.
My dad is ok, but is shattered as the car was unregistered as it had not been driven for a year and he was "only going around the block" and has written off his pride and joy. The boys are ok, but as i said, i cannot understand how they did not die. I know if it had've been anyone else i know and their car, there would have been 3 dead bodies.

I ask for your prayers, as i realise there was to some extent someone in that fourth seat that saved them, and i am so grateful. My dad is devestated that he has caused harm to the to others, and although injuries heal, psychologically i doubt he will ever get over it. He cannot understand how it happened, he wasn't speeding, it wasn't wet, he hadn't any alcohol; he wasn't doing anything out of the norm, the car just somehow lost control and just slid.

Please give your families a hug, and realise how lucky we are sometimes. I am very lucky to still have a father today and he was able to realise he has a wonderful family who love him dearly. Please put my dad in your prayers and thank whoever it was that was in that fourth seat behind him that saved his life.
