The details are sketchy, my brother doesn't have the police report yet, but it looks like my niece stepped out in front of a car on her way home from school today.
She has a broken leg which will require surgery, a fractured skull that the doctors don't think is too serious (please, God, let it be so), and some bad bruises and abrasions--her shoulder is supposed to be badly scraped up. She's in a hospital in San Diego where she lives with my brother and his wife.
So, if you have a prayer list, please add HIllary to it for the next few weeks.
