We had a WHITE CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!
I had to put this under world event since it never happens!
As some of you may remember I live in South Texas on the coast....about 30 minutes south of Houston!
We had snow on Christmas Eve/Christmas morning! We got a total of 8 inches!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was wonderful. The last time we had snow was 32 years ago in February and it was very little but enough to say it was snow!
We stayed outside playing in it until after midnight and then were us at 6 the next morning right back in it! The whole neighborhood was in it. The kids thought it was their Christmas present and in a way it was! They didn't care about anything else!! DS6 walked outside and looked up to the sky and said "thank you God, I knew you heard me!" It was a moment for DH and I, how many times as a kid had we wished for snow and it never came and here our son did the same and his wish came true! It was GREAT! DS4 enjoyed it also but was a little more sensitve to the cold! My parents were the biggest surprise....you couldn't keep them out of it! They were like kids themselves!!!
I just had to share this RARE moment and now I envy you with snow even more!
Happy Holidays!
Jana
PS..........it is now up in the 60's today! Oh well! We at least had a white, cold Christmas!!!!

Let it snow!
I live in Houston too. My kids kept whispering over and over "It's a miracle!"
I live in north Houston so we didn't get as much as you southerners but it was enough to make snowballs from the collecton on cars!
Fun!

Kelly, great to know you too
Kelly, great to know you too enjoyed the RARE moment of a white Christmas. My kids thought it was great. It was truly a blessing for us. I hated to see it melt.
Didn't know you were a fellow Texan so close! Good to know!
