I have no sense of taste! hahahaha! Medically speaking.
Something is wrong with me. I mean physically/medically and I have no idea what!
Here is the deal:
Wednesday my tongue felt like I had burned it on the tip. I figured maybe I ate so quickly I didn't notice it. But I remember it had been feeling funny before dinner. I had ate peanut butter toast and coke for breakfast, slimfast for lunch, a few fun sized snickers bars in between, a strawberry low fat yogurt, and spaghetti for dinner. I know, real healthy meals! LOL!
Anyway, by that night, the feeling I had burned it had grown a little. Thursday morning, it felt like a better part of half my tongue was burning. And it looks like tiny little blisters on the edges. I tried some cloreseptic spray, but no relief.
Today, it still hurts. I tried to eat, and it was a little painful, but the thing I noticed most was I can taste anything! I can smell, my throat doesn't hurt. It's like my taste buds have quit working! It's very freaky. I'm drinking a coke and it might as well be water! I'm fairly concerned. Not enough to run out to a doctor (not that I can afford that anyway), but would like some advice if anyone has any.

Advice??
run out to a doctor! Sorry, because you didn't want to hear that, but anything that spreads in a few days that you don't recognise is best dealt with quick, if only to allay your own worries. And mine!
Think of it as being cheaper in the long run. You wouldn't leave one of your cattle till they were so sick you couldn't wait any longer, because you know it's a waste of money and it might even cost more than if illness is caught early. So please treat yourself better than your cattle!

Allergies
Jenny, check out this site http://www.alphastore.org/symptoms/oralsymptoms.htm
Sounds like you might have a food allergy. If I understand correctly, allergies (like to peanuts) can come on whether or not you've had them in the past. Sure wouldn't hurt to be checked. I'd make a detailed list of everything I ate that day, what time you first noticed the reaction, etc. and take it to the doctor.
Also, I don't know how you eat snickers bars but those little ones I tend to bite off a piece and suck on it until the chocolate is gone before chewing. Those nuts in it can tear your tongue to shreds.
You might try to look up peanut allergy reactions specifically since you had that twice that day. . .sandwich and also in the snickers bar!
What Fern Said
Food allergy was the first thing I thought of, and peanut reactions can be fatal. So get checked out!

update
No change. I'll go to a dr. tomorrow if no improvement.
I hope it's not a peanut allergy! I'm not sure how I would survive if not for my PB&J sandwiches and Peanut butter cups (Reeses or my homemade ones).
Still small blister or pimple like things on the edges of my tongue. Still no taste (which really sux with Halloween candy! I couldn't eat or drink anything at the party last night!). Still much pain when I try to chew anything, so I'm just drinking some slimfasts today (with whole milk, of course). I took some benedryl, but it did no good. So I'm just taking Advil every 3 hours or so. I guess if my tightwad/anti dr. DH says I should see a dr, then I should.
Sheesh, I had pinkeye over the summer, now my tongue! DH thinks I'm just sick all the time!
cashew butter
If you are allergic to peanuts, you can use cashew butter. It's not quite the same but it's decent. You can make your own in a food processor or blender. I eat it during Passover when I can't eat peanuts.
