Scrapbooking with Computer

Okay, some silly questions from a first-time scrapbooker:

I bought a cheapie Wal-mart spiral-bound scrapbook to make a baby book for Emma. I've done the cover and one double-page layout so far using a (Wal-mart purchased) pack of baby-theme papers, stickers and stencils. The pages are square (10" x 10").

I want to use some computer-generated fonts and clip art I found online. (I found Calvin and Hobbes font! Wow!) How do I transfer these to a spiral-bound album? Print on paper and glue/tape down on page? What kind of paper do I use? Regular weight? Card stock? Where do I find such paper?

Or, if you'd rather: What tools and products have you found most useful? Or, generally: HELP!
