Resolutions
Cute Kitty! Me too!
Also, I want to spend more time on the piano, esp. with DD5 - she loves it!

Now Kitty . . .
If you're going to stop being critical of others, how 'bout going easy on yourself? "Rolls and buns" indeed!
Actually, me too. I am on Weight Watchers online now, have lost almost 20 lbs., and I'd like to lose at least 25 more this year. (Pretty typical, boring resolution, but there it is.)
There are so many other things I want to do this year, but if I start listing them I'll get overwhelmed.
How bout, send out my 2003 holiday cards before next holiday?!
I have "tiered" resolutions,
I have "tiered" resolutions, around the theme of 'healthier me'.
First:
*Try to make two good face-to-face friends this year. I have acquaintances that I like, and have good friend potential, but I have been lazy and shy, so I'm stepping out of the comfort zone.
*Do 20 minutes on the Xtrainer Daily (or equivalent)
-If I am faithful to that for 2 months, I can join the Y or Curves to start weight training 3 times a week. I LOVE weight training, so this is a good motivator for the grunge work.
*Take a daily multivitamin
*Cut out all sodas
-Once I'm soda-free for two months, I will reward myself with a spa facial for every month I'm soda free (which, sadly, is how much my sodas cost me anyway!)
I would LIKE to lose 30 lbs this year. But if I do the above, I will be very pleased with myself and I don't really mind if I don't lose that much (though I bet I will, if I keep the above, esp. when I've got nursing twins and a toddler!)

Vitamins
I buy vitamins......then when the packet is out of date I throw them away and buy more vitamins. It's strange really, they don't seem to do me any good.......might be better if I actually remembered to take them for longer than two days. I remember talking about that here well over a year ago, and Jul advised me to keep the vitamins next to the kettle or something, so I wouldn't forget them. Time to take that advice I think (and thanks for the reminder Kitty)
I also need to eat regularly and go to bed at a reasonable time. I am very grouchy if I'm hungry and tired.
I am very inspired by SusanY over on Flybabies who has been going to the YMCA every day with her son - DS12 and I need to get out and get some exercise. We're getting a puppy soon, so that should help
I'm resolving to go swimming more often too.
Like Kitty, I'd like to make more 'real life' friends. Several of mine have moved away in recent years, so I see them much less often. I also find it difficult to see my friends who work outside the home - during the week they are at work, and the rest of the time they want to be with their husbands, obviously. I'm single, so we don't get together for 'family' visits with my married friends either.
This year I'd like to spend time doing more things that I like doing - going to the cinema, drawing, reading, getting together with friends and family. I would like to entertain more, too, so that means keeping on top of the housework flylady-style, so I don't have to do a huge crisis tidy-and-clean when people are coming!
I'm going to stop now as that's quite a to-do list for this year. I could carry on, but I won't!

Mine is to not get as upset w
Mine is to not get as upset with those little stupid things that happen. Life is to short and kids grow to fast to cry over spilt milk! Also to for once in my life be able to so no to people. I am a giving person but have a hard time saying no to people and give to much at times.
I'm Going to Turn 50
Time to let my hair down and spice up the old love life. That's all the details you're getting out of me
.
And of course the same old, same old....more exercise
.
resolutions
First I want to get back onto a regular weekly housekeeping schedule. I used to have one, and it was pretty good. The house was always more or less presentable, and I never had that nagging "oh I really should" feeling -- I knew that whatever had to get done would be done on its appropriate day, and until then I didn't bother worrying about it. But then I had a year full of transitions and disruptions, and I lost that weekly rhythm.
When that's re-established, I want to lose 20 pounds, walk at least 3 times a week, and become more flexible. I'm establishing one good habit at a time, though, so I'll be revisiting that in about six weeks. I'm easing into it; one day of my weekly routine is "Do Something Good For My Physical Being Day."
There's one more, but it's a love-life thing and I'm not telling y'all.
As for vitamins, I take a handful of pills every day, despite having a memory like a steel sieve; having a weekly pill organizer helps a lot.

Yikes!
I signed up to run a half marathon. It's in May. It's actually a two-person team for a full marathon, so I have a teammate counting on me, and it's a fundraiser for Lukemia. I can run 3 miles at the most now...Just 10 to go
See, I figure there's no wiggle room in this one, and by training to run 13 miles
I will have to lose some weight in spite of myself!

3 resolutions
I like to have 3 to give myself a chance of at least keeping one!
1) Go swimming once a week.
2) No buying packets of crisps (chips).
3) Phone a friend in the evening if we don't have any evening thing happening. Since being pregnant and exhausted I've been very bad a keeping up with those telephone calls that keep long-distance friendships going. Now that my new routine means that I'm still pregnant but not exhausted, that's going to change.
So far I'm not doing too badly . . .
