Well, It's Monday Once Again!

I didn't get my office work done this weekend. DH had to go to the gift shop and work on Christmas displays. Having a child puts a whole different spin on things. For one, it necessitates finding someone to keep her if I did go in to the office. Secondly, it makes office work not seem so important. I truly enjoyed just laying around with her yesterday. I'll just work extra hard Monday through Thursday this week and make it up. I think the person who wanted the info is out on fall break this week & maybe won't be thinking about it (it's a person outside of my office), plus neither of us put a deadline on it. Sunday was my own plan.

Well, it's a bank holiday & I'm guessing a mail holiday too. That changes my PODA a little bit.

PODA:

* Take DD to my Mom's
* Work at office a.m.
* Check with my Mom regarding letting dog out while we're gone
* Prepare a sympathy card and a thinking of you card to mail Tuesday
* Read chapter in book for study

Trying to keep it light for a Monday. I have my normal routines & zone work to do, of course.

I hope y'all have a good day!

Vonnie

Working hard?

Happy Monday, looks like Vonnie and I are the only ones taking time to check in, while the rest of you are too busy slaving away. Eye-wink

Welcome back Jackie! Hang in there, eventually you'll arrive at your "new normal.'

I'm feeling pretty good about how this day is going

TADAs:
Up early to do some freelance work
Unloaded DW
Dried and folded towels
started new load of darks
put away clean kids' clothes
put new sheets and pillow cases on our bed
went to apple orchard with DD1.5 to run around in the hay and see the petting zoo animals (too late in the season for picking up here)
avoided rising to Susannah's bait in political postings Eye-wink Laughing out loud

Gotta start working on freelance stuff again while baby sleeps. I'm feeling a little recommitted (how's that for an oxymoron, my tentative commitment) to creating a healthy and peaceful home, now that I've had a few weeks to witness how much the disorder affects everyone. DH is crabby, I want to spend all day raking or shopping to avoid going inside, the girls are sniffly. Time to step up to the plate, New Homemaker Shaun!

He is tooooooooooooo sweet for words.

Will post on a different forum once I'm home and mobile.

Ignore my "bait"...

It was just venting. Pressure's off now...thanks for your patience! Ever get pent up like that? I won't even go back to check the thread.

I had a nice weekend. Took the kids to have their pictures taken on Friday for our yearbook. Even Emma had her picture taken. Paid for 5 5x7's and instantly regretted it...$50!! Eek. Buyer's remorse. But, I can have them all framed together, I guess.

Friday was Emma's first birthday! We had a little family party at our house, just my mom and us. It was fun! I have pictures and will try to post a few once DH shows me how to change the file size with the new software.

We had P.E. class that afternoon. Saturday we just hung around here. I was disappointed that DH didn't seem to be feeling well enough to take the boys on a promised outing. If I had known, I might have gone for just a couple of hours to pound the pavement again. But I guess it was good to get a day at home.

Yesterday, made it to church with all the kids, but no DH. Then, my mother came over and we celebrated her birthday. Had a nice fish dinner, courtesy of Leanne, and a Sara Lee chocolate cheescake (mmmmm!).

Today's tada:

*Homeschooled
*Took Emma for 1 year checkup; two shots Sad
*Took kids to Wendy's for frosties as a treat
*Went back to campus to pick up DH from work. Kids played on quad. DH took tons of pictures with new camera.
*Went to grocery store while DH went to barbershop.

Now we're home and even though I picked up fried chicken for supper (awful nutrition, I know), I don't feel like fixing sides and putting it on the table. But, we must go forward. Emma is fast asleep in bed at this late hour. Hope she doesn't sleep too long.

Love y'all!

Start of Another Week

For the first time in quite a while, I feel like I've actually accomplished something today.

TADA:

* Worked at my office 3 hours
* Got DD home, fed lunch & down for nap with no protests
* Made a luscious & sinfully easy peanut butter pie
* Ran dishwasher & unloaded
* Laundry (still in progress)
* Grocery store run for vegetables
* Started a packing list for our long weekend in Dallas
* Made to do list for Tuesday
* Got an answer on my doctor bill question - yes, I owe it; insurance doesn't cover (note for next year's visit: no tests that insurance won't cover)
* Made out sympathy card to mail tomorrow
* Straightened up; general picking up
* Dinner is cooking: hobo dinners (basically ground beef patty with salt & pepper and dollop of butter on top, layered with onion slice, potatoes and carrots), squash and onions and cheddar garlic biscuits

Doesn't sound like much, but I really feel good about today. Mondays tend to be a bad day & if I didn't do enough over the weekend & especially planning on Sunday evening, it tends to be even worse. I guess I did OK this week 'cause everything moved right along.

I've not really expressed any political views here myself. It is important to me; very much so. I don't post because I don't want someone to think it's up for debate with me. When I say I am for or against something, that's it; I've made my mind up & there's no changing it. But, I am in the minority here at TNH and feel much the same way Susannah does on political issues. On some of the more heated threads in the past, I just had to stop going to them because I was getting so upset. Just my $.02! I don't expect anyone to think I would change their mind, either!! Smiling

Hi everyone! Checking in a

Hi everyone!

Checking in after the long weekend! We were lucky enough to have Monday off so DH and I went away for one night. When I logged in today I was thinking, geez , why do we have to start the new thread on Sunday, when really it was Monday!!

Vonnie, wow you have gotten a lot done! I hear you loud and clear on your political stance - it is very interesting because I think you are one of the people I have the most in common with, yet we are probably far apart politically. Hmmmmm, food for thought.

Jo, sorry to hear about your friend, tragic. I am tired of this war.

Heid, I was interested in that show, but didn't watch it. Did you like it? Worth watching? My TV time is so limited nowadays, I don't want to waste it!

OK, I'm off -

Andrea

Becky's picture

Hi all!

Andrea, I've found that too, that people I am far apart from politically (here, like Susannah, and in "real life") are people with whom I otherwise have a lot in common.

Jo, I am so sorry about your friend. I have some high school friends over there too but they are alive for now.

Heidi, I spent most of yesterday reading a Stephen King novel! (The last one, The Dark Tower.) Sometimes you just gotta kick back.

Vonnie, it sounds as though DD's sleep routine is settling back in.

Happy birthday Susannah's mother!

Good luck with everything Anne P, if you read this.

That apple orchard activity sounds lovely Shaun! I do miss apple trees sometimes. I don't like raw apples, but I love the way apple orchards smell.

TADA:
-school and work
-dw
-got flu shot
-ordered medical records
-ordered some gifts for relatives
-straightened up a little
-changed cat litter

I still need to fix dinner and it's after 8! Maybe I'll just yank something out of the freezer. I forgot to put anything in the crockpot this morning and came home after 6 wiped out, with predictable results.

Vonnie's picture

Terrific Tuesday

'Morning all! I can't get used to it still being pitch dark at 6:15 a.m.! OOOOOO, the weathergirl just said that we're going to have cooler weather this week! Yippee!! I love Fall!!!

Andrea & Becky, I think that is what is most awesome about relationships. I have friends who are very, very far apart from me politically. And we get along great. It's really a matter of just agreeing that we disagree about some things. We talk politics some, but not a lot. It has been very interesting to me to hear everyone's political views & many times be somewhat surprised by what they are!

Thanks, Andrea, for the kudos on my TADAs. I didn't feel at all tired yesterday (of course I went to bed at 9 p.m.!), yet I think I got some things done for a change. I LOVE the feeling of accomplishment!

So, what's on tap for today?

PODA:

* Take DD to my Mom's country house (adds about 15 minutes each way)
* Work at my office - remember to go pick up b'day cake for co-worker
* Mail sympathy card and put check in mail to doctor's office
* Get with DH regarding what we're doing with our dogs for weekend
* Make haircut appointment for DD
* Read chapter in book for today
* Make a weekend trip phone number/info sheet for our parents
* Put away clothes in dryer (laundry is caught up - woohoo!)
* Work on getting some photos together to take on trip

I also need to do some ironing if I have time. That's not priority, though.

I hope you all have a great & productive day. I'll try to check back in this p.m.

Afternoon

Hope everyone's having a great Tuesday. I had a dentist appointment at noon, yuck, my teeth don't hurt but I have a headache from being in the chair so long.
DH replaced my kitchen faucet this weekend, a beautiful Mohen faucet all nice and shinny but when put up against my not so shinny, dull stainless steel sink I begged for a new sink. DH said it could be cleaned and I thought "yea right". Well come to find out... It's this stuff called "MAAS" it looks like a brand new sink. Some of you probably already knew this, I didn't, this stuff works wonders!! Goes on like a paste then you buff it out. Talk about a shinny sink spilling over to the rest of the house. Smiling
I've almost finished with the pantry. Those of you who seen my before and after pictures after I painted in there will know what I'm talking about. The first set of shelves is food, 2nd is homeschooling, and third is cleaning supplies and "stuff". I need to move some things to the garage and after that I'll be done in there, maybe tomorrow afternoon.
Trey's got a Homeschool play date at the park tomorrow, about 20 other homeschool mom's and there kids. The Mom's are having a curriculum swap and kids are having a book swap, should be fun.
Baby's getting fussy, gotta run. See you girls in the morning.

returning to the nest?

maybe soon!
I've made some discoveries about my life, and I want to share them here on TNH. but wanted to drop a quick line to my Flypals. I may come back here in a couple months, after this semester is over. Just a warning. LOL!

silverbear's picture

Jenny!!!!!!!!

So good to "see" you! Hope your semester is going well. Don't stay away too long.
Still flapping along here. DH is home for mid-tour leave from South Korea. This is a good thing, but it does throw my routines off a little. I never imagined that I would be a stickler for routines. Now I'm like Mary Poppins .. "Children, it's time for tea. I will not have my schedule interrupted" Smiling
Isn't it funny that the shiny sink leads to so many other good things? When I first heard about Flylady, I thought her premises were just ridiculous. Now, I can't function without my lace-up shoes. The lack of clutter really does bring a sense of calm and peace to the home. And there is just something so soothing about shining the sink every night before bed.
Back to lurking and eagerly awaiting Jenny's news!
Rose

Susannah's picture

Hiya, Pal!

Been missing you, Jenny! Can't wait to hear more, after that teaser!

Thanks for being so forgiving, guys (re: politics). I'll try not to drop anymore bombs.

Jo, please accept my condolences. I've been putting off e-mailing my friend, but your post makes me want to do that tonight.

Today's TA DA's were not so red-letter, but we did get in the homeschooling and I took the girls (including baby) to a tie-dye craft, where each dyed a t-shirt. Emma didn't, of course, but then she kinda got tie-dyed herself in the process. Tonight I folded two loads of laundry and put them away. Working on two more. DH has to have some clothes clean tonight because he'll be on a trip to SC for a couple of days. The good thing about his going out of town is that I get the van all to myself. The bad thing is he's gone, of course. Sad But it's not for long.

Maybe I'm not doing well because I'm not shining my sink. When you say shining, do you mean scrubbing thoroughly every night? Or just emptying and wiping down? I've been trying to do the latter. I've never heard of that stuff, BTW, Jamie. Great discovery!

Come to think of it, I have a rotten bedtime/waketime. That's the real problem. I have been putting on my shoes, because of broken toe.

PODA for tomorrow:
*Find snippets of info about Emma's first year from calendars and journals.
*Use said info to figure out a "ladder" of layouts for the baby book.
*Homeschool
*Playdate at park with friends
*Family meeting at church where we get new homegroup assignment

Is it cheating to go online and find layouts and then copy them? Because I'm not creative at all, and I found a bank of layouts at some site. It's not a violation of copyright, is it? If not intended for sale or publication? Man, I wish I could just hand all this stuff to someone and pay them to do it for me. It'd be a lot cuter. I'd be glad to give them the byline.

Anyhow...

Oh, Jo, the spelling's going well, since I've slowed it down and had them practice the same list of sight words/rule words every day.

There goes the dryer buzzer. Time to switch the clothes.

Love,

Susannah

headed for bed

After a good start yesterday I got knocked down by the freight train of some evil virus. Feeling better now, except still very achy. My neck and shoulders are so sore, it hurts to move at all! Too bad 1-yr-olds don't understand "Mommy needs to lie down for just a minute.: Smiling

Did what I could today, but had to use up most of my energy writing a last minute press release and trekking around the library, which was a truly miserable experience in my current flu-like state. I have a feeling my sink will be far from shining when I get in bed tonight . . .

See you in the morning -- I posted in your journal Jenny!

jennye's picture

no time like now, for today...

I'm procrastinating my studying.

Thanks for the warm welcome backs. I see new names, hope to get to know ya'll soon. And as a brief intro to you that don't know me:
I'm Jenny. I live in New Mexico, my husband and I farm and ranch. I have three children, dd7, dd5, and ds2. Many animals (cows, horses, one dog, and 7 cats, all outdoors). I returned to school to work on my degree in education, taking 16 hours this semester, but made discoveries about what I want out of life. So will probably only take one class a semester after this one, and will hopefully get to have another baby in the near future. I quilt, sew, scrapbook, attempt to garden, and help my husband out. Been a flybaby off and on for about 4 years now, I think. Good system, just gotta stick with it!

ON that note:
TADA:
laundry in dryer
MR is done (for the most part)

PODA:
lots of studying
clean bathrooms
fold laundry
make bed (bedding in dryer)
get school news for the paper
watch debate!

And for you oldies that do remember me, hey, I updated my web site a couple times, once just the other day! Go see pictures! Laughing out loud
http://www.jandjessary.com/updates

Shaun's picture

missed your last, Susannah

Gosh, girl, you don't need to be forgiven (well, not for that anyway)!

Rainy, lazy morning. Barely got DD5 to school, then went to church moms group. We're reading about different women -- this week was Hagar (the slave of Abraham and Sarah). I think it's best group of participants we've had this year -- it's nice to get together with them.

Now I'm home and trying to decide what to do next.

PODA:
Where to begin?
Put away laundry
Tons of freelance work
Unload DW
Paper recycling
Put up shoe bag in closet (gotta start working on the pit that is my closet)

I think I'll stop there. I'm still achy and tired, though feeling better. Don't want to overdo.

Have a great day everyone!

Shaun

Becky's picture

good evening!

I hope you feel better soon Shaun!

TADA:
-some homework
-mailed off some bills
-got supper in the oven
-went to class

That's it, everything else was school and more school.

Still have to do the pm routine.

I'm so freakin' tired.

Vonnie's picture

Good Morning Everybody!!

Hope everyone is having a great Thursday. It is foggy and cooler here in the deep south. This will most likely be my last post here until Monday. I'll try to check in on you guys, though. We'll be leaving this evening (hopefully around 5). I'm looking forward to it, but hate the packing/unpacking thing.

My PODA centers around getting ready to go on our trip:

* Work at office - get my paycheck!
* Make deposit at credit union
* Hook up timer to radio (light is already hooked up)
* Pack, pack, pack (I DO have a list, though!)
* Take anything that could spoil out of fridge & take garbage out
* Strip DD's bed and remake
* Dust and sweep living areas & our bedroom
* Generally pick up house after packing so it will not look like a bomb went off when we return
* Run dishwasher and unload

My TADAs so far today:

* Dressed to shoes and makeup & hair done
* Pressed blouse & pants that needed it (for trip)
* Packed toiletries, etc. for me
* Portable DVD player and accessories, DVDs ready to go
* Snacks together to put in picnic basket

Well, I need to go wake DD up. Probably won't force a nap today in hopes that she'll sleep on the road tonight.

Y'all have a great day & rest of the week and weekend!

Morning!

Good to see you posting Jenny! Smiling I checked out the updates, beautiful kids, can't wait to see then next one Smiling (kid that is)

Didn't get to post yesterday, we ran around all day. Homeschool group at !:00, lasted till 3:00. A lot of fun, I took some curriculum to the swap and got some learning games for Trey. Trey took some books for the kids table and picked out a couple he didn't have. He came home dirtier than he's ever been in his life. He spilled Sunny D on his shirt while we were eating and stood up and said "Now this is going to have to be dry cleaned!" Laughing out loud Where do they get this stuff! Savannah was an angel, she didn't cry once, just lay in the stroller taking it all in. We had been home all of about 3 minutes when the boy from next door came over to play with Trey. He's a bit of a bully and Trey tends to let him get away with more than I'm happy with but Trey's a good head and a half taller than this boy so I'm just letting him work it out. Anyway Anthony called and had missed the bus so we went to pick him up Trey and the little boy are in the back of the van and Trey says...in the nicest way possible. "That's my little sister Savannah and if you hurt her I'll kill you" I know "kill" was a bit harsh but I couldn't help but smile. I talked to him later and told him it was very sweet of him to watch out for his sister but gave him a few words to replace "kill" with Laughing out loud

Ok that's enough chit chat, PODA
*make beds
*empty dw, reload
*clean kitchen
*vacuum downstairs
*homeschool
*finish up in pantry (didn't get to it yesterday)
*bath for Savannah
I'm sure there's more but I can't think yet, see you guys later.

LOL!

That is a super cute story Jamielea.

I have been naughty today -- I went shopping! Actually, I really really needed a new winter coat -- my current one is 20 years old and patches of fabric have worn away. It was a *great* coat but it is beyond repair -- you can't sew up fabric that's not there! This is my long dress coat, BTW. Smiling So I got one for 30% off at Marshall Fields Field Days sale -- it's purple with purple furry trim on the cuffs and collar! OK, it was a good deal but it felt like a splurge -- coats aren't cheap. But on the way out I walked past this little purple Nine West crocodile purse, and, well, it was 25% off too, so I, well, I . . .

Oh dear.

Gotta work like a crazy person today -- my head was just way too stuffy to get any writing done yesterday, and the official deadline is tomorrow. I'm just gonna be late, but I can't be *too* late.

The good news is I think we will finally get to start painting the DR this weekend -- purple, naturally!

Shaun

Steppin' Out Soon!

Just waiting for DH to get back from cleaning the car. He will take a shower, dress and we'll be on our way to Texas. This afternoon was a flurry of getting packed. I wanted to come back to a fairly clean house with no dirty laundry or dishes, so that was also a part of my afternoon. I never went to the grocery store, but we'll be OK until I can go on Monday.

I hope the DVD player will keep DD entertained so she doesn't wear our ears out for 9 hours each way! We're planning to have a relaxing, low-key weekend. No time pressure or "plans" with the exception of going out with a group for dinner Friday evening.

Should be fun. I'll miss you guys! See you either late Sunday or Monday!

Vonnie

jennye's picture

DVDs

DVD players in the car/truck are the best thing! We made it to GA in two days thanks to ours. Every other DVD had to be the Wiggles, but we survived.

Jamie Lea, priceless story!

I had classes all day. Went to the grocery store afterwards, then picked up all the kids, left one with Jeff (DD5, wanted to ride the tractor). Tomorrow early afternoon will be it for the cutting this year, so in about 45 minutes I need to go switch girls so they both had a chance to ride with daddy. Chance, on the other hand, had all day already.

I have a Spanish quiz tomorrow, so need to catch up on that stuff, an Econ test Sunday, History and Political Science test Tuesday, Child psychology test and Political Science paper Thursday. This weekend, we have homecoming bonfire Friday night, Homecoming Saturday (my girls are cheerleaders), church and pickin' (music thing) on Sunday. How on earth did I get this busy! Oh, and peanut festival is this weekend (Arts and Crafts festival). Gotta go to that to get a jump on Christmas presents.

Off topic, I know, and it wasn't flying.
My TADA from yesterday:
Bathrooms cleaned
Kitchen cleaned
1 load of laundry done
Bills done

Have a great evening!

jamielea's picture

Morning guys!

Shaun, those little splurges are nice sometimes Smiling I just LOVE a sale. Don't forget to take before and after pic's of the DR, I've never seen a purple DR. Smiling

Jenny, your test schedule made my brain hurt just hearing about it! Ouch!

Where's Andrea?

PODA
*need to go to Bells and pay on CC bill (all those darn sales Laughing out loud )
*stop by the quick shop for gas
*LAUNDRY (gotta get a handle on this before it gets out of control)
*mini blessing
*homeschool

We'll see what else the day holds, see you guys this afternoon.

Oh, how I Don't Miss School

Blessings to you, Jenny. Say, how are you going to find room in your pickup for #4?

Jamie, LOL!

Shaun, get well wishes and also prayers for lots of energy coming your way. Hats off to working moms.

Vonnie, have a wonderful trip! (Even though you've already left and I'm probably saying this to your dust.)

I'm stuck here. Van's dead. DH is out of town on a business trip but is flying in this afternoon. So, A#1 on today's PODA: figure out a way to get him home from the Atlanta airport (2 hours away).

The nice thing is, I have made a wonderful new friend with a DD8 of her own, and she's taking my two girls to P.E. for me, and I'm watching her littlest boy for her. We had a fun time at the park with them on Wednesday. Her daughter is my DD8's partner in P.E. and they are becoming good friends.

I'd better go get my house ready for our little guest. Fussy 1yo too.

Love,

Susannah

connections

Susannah, I'm so glad you dd has found a good friend.

Jamie Lea, how's that "little" baby?

Purple dining room? Yes, must see pictures!!!

The flies are trying to carry me away here. This is the time of year when all you can do is just shoo them out of your face. I have fly tapes up inside and out, and have been spraying outside at night when they all settle down and congregate on the eaves of the house. Still, there are millions of them left. but, I did a major TADA, I cleaned the back patio. It was a real mess, and that is part of the fly problem. We have 5 kittens back there (mama is probably a coyote turd by now, not sure what happened to her). Anyway, there are 5 kittens, about 5 weeks old. Still on milk and canned cat food, and have been pooping everywhere. All that now cleaned up! And a flower bed weeded.

I'm going to study for tests this morning. I have the spanish quiz today, and I think I will go ahead and take the econ test today too (I don't have to do that one til Sunday, but busy weekend ahead, I'd rather get it over with). also to do:
*a load of laundry
*pick up the automatic-make-a-mess living room
*Find some boxes or baskets, something, for the kids school papers that are covering my desk right now
*filing
*balance checkbook
*go to inlaws to get gooseneck flatbed trailer
*take said trailer to load up littles bales of hay for...
*tonight's hayride for our football players and cheerleaders. We are driving them around the block (LOL! Eight miles total! They will only pass 3 houses the whole way! Laughing out loud ). Then back to the school for a bonfire and hot chocolate (w/OUT marshmellows! We have learned what happens with those).

Lots to do! Better get busy! Ya'll have a great day.

(PS, it's nice to be back!!!)

Becky's picture

speaking of tests

I am taking a break from grading a big mess o' midterms.

That's about it so far. Still PODA:

-send in medical excuse to get out of jury duty

Hi

Why do my weeks seem to be getting more hectic? Sheesh. Sad

TADA
meal planned

separated other dirty laundry
took DS14 to a team party

PODA

more laundry
take DS12 to a b'day party
pick up DS14 from the team party

dinner: steak, zuchinni parmesan, sauteed mushrooms, pumpkin pie, merlot
enjoy some quiet, almost-alone time with DH (who?)

Soccer is over, but basketball season begins in 3 weeks! Laughing out loud I also have 2 days off next week, which will mean a 3 day week followed by a 4 day weekend! Yippee!!!!! I plan to rest, rest, rest and do a big OAMC session. Today I found a bunch of roasts on sale; chicken, pork loin, ham, and turkey....odd. But great for me and especially good timing.

I called DS14's math teacher again yesterday. She called me back during her homeroom, in front of all those kids! Then she raised her voice at me, yelling "What do you want me to do?". I could hear the classroom go dead silent, and I got dangerously quiet myself and said (not in a rude tone of voice)
"I want you to call me at an appropriate time to discuss my child privately. I want you to test him and place him in the right math class for his abilities. I want an apology for you raising your voice to me in front of your class." She didn't say anything so I said, "I expect to hear from you later, goodbye." and hung up. DS came home with his schedule changed. I guess she went and found him and gave him a note to take to the guidance office so he could get into the next level up math. He also has a new teacher, thank goodness. I felt awful all day, but as DH said, I wasn't rude, didn't raise my voice, and I was asking for reasonable things. I'm still thinking about homeschooling.....

Have a relaxing weekend all,
-Jo

Hello!

Coyote turd. That one had me laughing (except not at poor mama cat's expense). Know what you mean about automatic-make-a-mess too.

Worked out the airport thing. My mom was actually home from work yesterday, recovering from a virus. Since she was feeling better, she came over and watched the children for me while I borrowed her car for the trip to Atlanta. It was a beautiful evening for a drive. I enjoyed the sunshine and clear sky. Got slowed down in the bumper-to-bumper downtown, but it worked out all right because his plane had been late. We even stopped by Wal-mart for a few things, and ran through the Taco Bell drive-through...it was almost like a date! Smiling

Jenny, around here it's yellow jacket season. They wouldn't leave baby alone at the park. Must've been that vanilla yogurt she had for lunch. We tried to make a decoy using a plastic cup with some leftover coke at the bottom, but they didn't all of them go for it.

Shaun, how on earth do you find time to paint? I have three new cans of paint sitting in my LR, but can't seem to get it together to use them. One of those things I wish I could hire out. Maybe I'll attempt to do the Laundry Room today, since the van's still dead and DH is still recovering from several nights of insomnia. And at least two or three of the kids seem inclined to play outside today.

Better go do something useful!

Love,

Susannah
