A cloud hangs over our house today. Last night, Louisa figured out how to open the security gates. No Christmas tree is safe.

When DS12 was small, we had the Christmas tree in the playpen to stop him dismantling it!

My parents are having a similar problem this year as my brother has returned home and brought his one year old labrador with him. They are using an old fire safety guard right around the tree.

DS3 has recently developed that talent as well. The big problem is not so much him getting through the gates, as his inability to close them again - letting DD1 roam at will.
