I got my late birthday present in the mail yesterday...Kate Rusby's "Ten" CD. I gave it a listen last night. Highly recommended! Boy, she sure can sing a rip-your-heart-out song. I've heard that even people who can't stand folk music love hers, and I can see why. I first heard of her on Thistle and Shamrock; she was interviewed and I was impressed by her commitment to the folk genre. She grew up in a family of committed folk musicians. I love the Yorkshire accent too.
By the way, I've also been wearing out the Alison Krauss and Union Station live album set. Great bluegrass!
