Is it really the holidays without a big family argument or a trip to the ER? I think not. So this year John obliged by slicing a finger nearly to the bone with a carving knife. Luckily it was after dinner. So we bundled up the kids and off we went to the local house of pain as my friend the critical care nurse calls it. Ten stitches. Well, at least it wasn't me getting carted off to the ER this time...
