Lets have some fun here and tell what you are doing in your garden

I am taking one area in my back yard that was a garden and letting the grass grow over it. This space had a chicken wire fence that was too low [ rabbits jumped over ] and was rusting...not good.

I have another area that I already had as a garden but the rabbits always had a field day with my peas and beans...so this year I am fighting BACK !! I put up a talll fence made out of green plastic with very small openings up all around the garden. It is small 6/15 feet but its managable. I staple gunned at the bottom,,there is a board going all around it. And then there were special stakes that I used to keep it up and taut.

I have planted strawberries this week.
already there cilantro ,parsley and thyme

I am vey excited about not having rabbits eat my HARD WORK !!

up front I have many plants but some new ones are violets and hostas,three rose bushes,I plan to put in more hostas, marigolds [in the sun area]and impatients..I got three very cute pails that I am going to put the violets in[walmart] and on my front stoop

I have found having alot of perennials and a few annuals works best for me
I have a big tree that gives alot of shade and I work around that.

I spents tons on new soil and compost for both gardens,,I hope this to be my best year yet!!!
