paper mache' boxes

Hi!,I'm curious if anyone has covered th thsos the inexpensive paper mache boxes( that are sold at craft stores) with either fabric or paper,if so, how would make the lid on an oval or round look"tailoed? I have done them with a collage of pressed flowers also picture frames with the pressed flowers and amirror instead of a picture looks very chic.shaaaaa
