I know, I say it every few weeks. I need a TNH break. My house is suffering again. So I'm going to turn the computer off except for once a day to check my mail.
My PODA is to declutter and pack up tons of toys and stuff. Get the garden ready to plant (when FIL is done fixing my tiller), and STAY OFF THE COMPUTER!!!
Easter Bunny was very good to the kids at our house. Too good,in fact. We will be bringing extra candy to DS school where it will be donated to charity. They do this every holiday(Easter,Halloween,Christmas,etc).
Took DS to my mom's to spend the day there. She will bring him home after dinner. They were going to visit the cats and dogs at the Humane Society.

Your PODA looks very similar to mine today! DD5 has had a persistent cough lately and did not respond to her first RX so that's why I took her back today - they started her on Zithromax today. DS7 has had the same thing.
I took them to the Pizza Hut lunch buffet which is always a big hit and then bowling. I'm trying to get some paid work done now.
DS off to school. DD and I have to go to BJ's this morning for lunch meat and pullups. It is rainy here so no stopping at the park. Maybe we'll stop at the library. Pretty light day for me so we will probably just goof off. My only PODA is dinner and homework. Gotta love that!

Last night I prepared and served dinner (beef and cheese enchiladas, spanish rice, raw veges, chips and brownies) for 55 kids at the high school. DD18 has the lead and opening night is Thursday. Tomorrow, I will be serving fried chicken (buying at Walmart), stuffed baked potatoes, green beans and desserts. I make about 75 servings of all dishes.

He wants to go bowling AGAIN this afternoon - we just may do it - it's cheap and only a few minutes from our house!
Want to do some more cleaning in the guest room today - my parents will arrive Thursday or Friday and will stay with us for a week or two before moving into their apartment nearby.

Glad everyone had a nice Easter. We all had a nice one also, all but the rain so no egg hunting outside. We had a Soccer game on Saturday and DS6's team won! He was goalie the last quarter and stopped the other team from scoring twice! He was so proud, and Coach Daddy was beaming.
I'm keeping my head above water, only cooking for 5, can't imagine cooking for 55! I fell and sprained my ankle Monday, I was chasing the dog and fell into one of the holes he had been digging. I hurt my other leg at the same time, but not as bad as my ankle. So, most of my TADA's are taking place from a sitting position.
Andrea, how neat that your parents will be in town for so long, a year right?

I hope to attend a seminar tonight on learning disabilities at the LD Association. They are having 8 seminars total for $20. Not too bad so I am gonna try to make it there tonight.

Good morning all! It's mid-week once again. Should be my off day, but I had to take DD to a dr. appt. yesterday, so I had to switch days. So, it's off to the office for 3 hours this morning while she goes to preschool.
I'm going back & forth between flying and flapping this week. It's hard to function with this sinus/allergy mess. I am just this morning feeling normal again. I hope I will be well by this weekend - we are going to the beach to visit my aunt, uncle and cousin and her family. So, I'm in pre-travel mode this week, trying to keep laundry done so I can pack Thursday as well as clean up house well so BIL won't freak when he comes over to let our dog out over the weekend.

Yesterday, I had a horrible day. Started with great intentions of flying all day then got an email from my cousin who moved to Northern Cal. 3 years ago. He wrote a poem about me right after he moved up there, made me cry, after 1 hour finally calmed down. Then had a headache so went to go take a nap, which was impossible with kids, DH running in and dogs barking, So got up to make coffee and broke my glass carafe. cut my foot on glass, called my aunt she had an extra one so went to pick it up and came home to make some toast. At this point I hadn't had anything to eat all day. The toaster stopped working and shocked me. Was about to loose it (picture daffy duck) so I told DH that I was going to sit on puter for a little while and go to bed and that I really needed his help. With him taking care of DD and boys in bed I checked email,went to reply to some and email is down. Called ISP they said that they are having an outage. Gave up went to bed! TODAY WILL BE A BETTER DAY!!

Got some good news yesterday-- I got into USC with a tuition waiver and a decent (for music) stipend, so I'll be there next year! I was accepted for the MA program, but I think if you do well in that, they pretty much will accept you for PhD too.

We went to Strong Museum yesterday with friends - it's a children's museum. Fun, but wild with all the kids on spring break. Today DD has a playdate and I have chores, etc. Would like to do something fun with DS7 too.

Well, the neighbor kid just came and got DD to take her to her house for 45 minutes or so, and I think I'll go try to put the remainder of my winter clothes in the extra closet. I think we've seen the last of cold weather here - yippeee!!

I tried to vacuum today, but found out that the vacuum cleaner is broken. The bag was brand new, so that is not the problem. Taking that thing for repairs is a big pain.
I remember at one time before DD that I could get up at 4:30 a.m. and not be traumatized. Mainly because I knew I could go to bed early if need-be. Well, no more! I can't go to before until DD goes to bed now. I've backed her bedtime up to 8:30 p.m., though. She's not getting enough sleep & is complaining going to school every day that she's sleepy! Last night she even asked to go to bed! She was with my Mom all afternoon & only got a 30 minute nap. Then Gigi took her to the park and to my grandparents and ran her pretty hard, I think! Way to go, Gigi!!!
Well, the reason I am up so early is to get ready for our trip. I have my clothes and DD's clothes picked out. I'm about to press two pair of pants for myself and get that out of the way. Then, into the shower to go ahead and get myself ready for work. I plan to take the dog to the groomer at 7 a.m. and then come back home for DD to get ready. Then, leave by 8:05 to go to school and me to work.

I just had to tell Amee that we must be on the same brain wave. My license expired in November, I just went to social security to change my name and I will be married 9 years this coming November. Went to visit DH sister and BIL last night. They brought home a newborn girl that they are in the process of adopting. She was born Tuesday. I didn't mention anything before because we were waiting to hear from attorneys and the birth mother,etc.. I guess legally the mother can change her mind from now until the adoption finalizes so we are all on pins and needles but are planning a shower for her just the same.

Was about to loose it (picture daffy duck) so I told DH that I was going to sit on puter for a little while and go to bed and that I really needed his help. With him taking care of DD and boys in bed I checked email,went to reply to some and email is down. Called ISP they said that they are having an outage. Gave up went to bed! TODAY WILL BE A BETTER DAY!!

Got some good news yesterday-
Got some good news yesterday-- I got into USC with a tuition waiver and a decent (for music) stipend, so I'll be there next year! I was accepted for the MA program, but I think if you do well in that, they pretty much will accept you for PhD too.

We went to Strong Museum yesterday with friends - it's a children's museum. Fun, but wild with all the kids on spring break. Today DD has a playdate and I have chores, etc. Would like to do something fun with DS7 too.

Going on a Trip is Too Much Trouble!
I am bone-tired from getting trip preparations done. I know it's worth it, but I am pooped!
Today's TADAs:
* Worked at office 8:45 - 12:15
* Got batteries for camera
* Picked up bottled drinks & snacks to put in car for trip
* Cleaned up laundry room
* Cleaned out my two "junk" drawers in dresser
* Folded load of towels & washed and dried load of lights
* Made my to do list for tomorrow
* Took physics experiment notes to half sister at high school
* Got luggage out of storage at my Mom's
* Called to change appointment with exterminator
PODA left for today & tomorrow:
* Pack as much as I can tonight
* Ask neighbor if they'll feed our outside dogs
* Find out if BIL still has key so he can let inside dog out for us
* Pick out clothes to wear for me & DD and press any that need it
* Get ice for cooler (tomorrow)
* Put check in bank (tomorrow)
* Take DD to doctor for booster shot (tomorrow)
And of course I need to clean up the house tomorrow after we trash it packing to go. I'm not even going to attempt to clean it up until closer to time to leave.
Well, the neighbor kid just came and got DD to take her to her house for 45 minutes or so, and I think I'll go try to put the remainder of my winter clothes in the extra closet. I think we've seen the last of cold weather here - yippeee!!

Thanks for the congratulations! DH is very happy for me. He took me out to dinner.
I tried to vacuum today, but found out that the vacuum cleaner is broken. The bag was brand new, so that is not the problem. Taking that thing for repairs is a big pain.
Up Too Early!!
I remember at one time before DD that I could get up at 4:30 a.m. and not be traumatized. Mainly because I knew I could go to bed early if need-be. Well, no more! I can't go to before until DD goes to bed now. I've backed her bedtime up to 8:30 p.m., though. She's not getting enough sleep & is complaining going to school every day that she's sleepy! Last night she even asked to go to bed! She was with my Mom all afternoon & only got a 30 minute nap. Then Gigi took her to the park and to my grandparents and ran her pretty hard, I think! Way to go, Gigi!!!
Well, the reason I am up so early is to get ready for our trip. I have my clothes and DD's clothes picked out. I'm about to press two pair of pants for myself and get that out of the way. Then, into the shower to go ahead and get myself ready for work. I plan to take the dog to the groomer at 7 a.m. and then come back home for DD to get ready. Then, leave by 8:05 to go to school and me to work.
My PODA today:
* Get ice for cooler
* Put check in bank and transfer money if needed
* Take DD to doctor for booster shot
* Finish packing
* Dust & sweep before leaving so BIL doesn't fall out!
Doesn't sound like much, but packing & cleaning are biggies!

I just had to tell Amee that we must be on the same brain wave. My license expired in November, I just went to social security to change my name and I will be married 9 years this coming November. I just thought it was so weird, I just did this Wed and will go to DMV next Wed. I thought maybe it was me who posted and my pregnant brain forgot or something. Well great job to us for getting anti proscrastination jobs done

Went to visit DH sister and BIL last night. They brought home a newborn girl that they are in the process of adopting. She was born Tuesday. I didn't mention anything before because we were waiting to hear from attorneys and the birth mother,etc.. I guess legally the mother can change her mind from now until the adoption finalizes so we are all on pins and needles but are planning a shower for her just the same.
