Bikini Ski Contests for Charity! Hyuk!

Saleswomen sue former employer: Company is accused of hiring only women to deal with mostly male clients, forcing them to pose in suggestive and skimpy clothing for the annual company freebie calendar and firing them when they refused to "sell with sex." Highly amusing alleged excerpt from their employee manual: "Have great stories to tell. Always have weekend plans -- bikini ski contest for charity, you model part time for Budweiser, etc. ... Every woman has their [sic] own Female Magic and that is why you are going to be successful in this career."
What I find amazing, apart from women who don't work at Hooters having to put up with this crap, is that this company thinks so little of its customers and its products and services that it uses T&A to sell. Do men think so much with their "little head" that they'd make an actual business decision based on a pretty girl prattling about posing for Budweiser part-time? This strikes me as extremely poor and rather desperate business.

Not to excuse the sorriness of the company's practices, but I didn't notice anything in the article saying what the women were told upon accepting the job. Puts a whole different spin on it as far as I'm concerned, IF they had any clue they would be doing that type work, then they carry some of the blame also. I don't really buy the "forced" to pose. .. etc. thing. How hard is it to say "You're a creep and I quit!"

The company should be truly embarrassed about this. Other than beer companies and hooters, who else has the nerve to use women as live billboards.

Heh...in THIS economy?
Actually, judging by the reaction of the company's rep, either someone is lying through their teeth or the problem here was a bad division head.
