Hairspray in Clothes

Lynn's picture

From TNH Reader BrAnDiLeE1026: I work at the local hockey games in town, and for work i have to wear a hockey jersey. Well over the months my jersey got a buildup of hairspray and I cannot get it out! I was wondering if there is anything i can do at home to get it out besides just washing it which did not work. Thank you!

Shampoo?

From JennyE: Have you tried washing it with shampoo rather than laundry detergent? I mean, it gets hairspray out of your hair, why not clothes? Worth a try anyway. Sounds like a neat job with comfy attire!!

i agree with the shampoo theo

i agree with the shampoo theory- i would scrub it in and then throw it in the wash but it that doesnt work how about goo gone
im not sure but i would imagine whats on your jersery would be slightly sticky or was so it would be a goo - im not sure
but if you decide to try it you can find it at walmart in the craft section
i hope that helps
good luck

Hairspray stains

Hairspray leaked out all over my clothes in the suitcase. Now I have hairspray stains on my nice dresses & tops. What can I do to remove the stains?
