Even though we did groceries yesterday, I have to go back today to have perscription refilled, as no pharmacies are open here on Sunday. Also playing gopher for DH, will have to go to Clovis to get some parts for the swather. Might as well stop by Hobby Lobby, since paper punches are on sale this week, and I have none! LOL!
Still raining! YAY! I'm going to shoot the Weather Channel if they keep saying more thunderstorms are a bad thing! HELLLOOO! FARMERS NEED RAIN! Rain is not a bad thing!
Oh, and yes, I'll take the snow! I'll take any precip we can get!
We are home. Left Saturday at 4 pm drove straight through and got home at 2 pm Sunday. Kids were very good in the car, especially since alot of the driving was during the night. We plan it that way!!
Florida was warm and sunny all week,no rain at all. We spent the majority of the days in the pool or sitting by the pool.
Had fun but glad to be home. Now.......
All the fallout from the trip to deal with this week. So my PODA will be something like this:
unpack
laundry
grocery shop
pick up and go through mail
water plants
wash/clean out car
ETC....
Hi to everyone, did I miss anything earthshattering???
welcome home, Heidi!! Bring me anything from FLA? LOL!
Shopping was fun, of course. Got my pills, a couple things for Easter baskets (a basket for Chance, candy, a couple small notebooks for the girls). Got a couple punches at hobby lobby, along with a few other things I "needed". Couple different parts stores for different kinds of bolts, nuts, belts, etc. Wendy's for lunch, deposited some money. I'm tired, time to veg the rest of the day! LOL! Oh, crap, WHAT'S FOR DINNER!!!???
Need to desperatly clean my desk. Some bills are due and I must find them.
Tonight is supposed to be the first Passover seder, but I'm not planning to do much of anything. We'll have grape juice with dinner.
Maybe I'll make some homemade matzah. Not that it would be kosher for Passover, but it's not as if I keep kosher the rest of the year.
I changed the cat litter today, and did some desk chores. I need to do some more desk chores, put away laundry, and fix dinner. I may vacuum.
It is exhausting isn't it Jenny? Sounds like you had a productive trip though! What was for dinner, by the way? I ended up putting Jo's pork roast in the crockpot with sweet potatoes, carrots, chicken broth, and soy sauce. Turned out great! Also green beans and dinner rolls for the kids. We have enough to have another night this week - yay!
Hi Becky! Glad to see you poke your head in.
Work tomorrow for me. It is so cold and miserable here you wouldn't believe it! I love living in this area most of the year, but I have to say when it's April 5th and FREEZING outside I am just about ready to move.
Thanks for the hellos.
Today was BUSY.
TADA:
picked up and sorted mail
watered plants
washed 2 loads and put away
unpacked DD and my stuff(DH and DS can do their own, which means they will probably live out of the luggage until there's nothing left!!)
bought lunch meat at BJ's
bought fruit and veggies, milk, etc at Marc's
made a couple calls
had van washed
dinner
dw loaded and ran
homework
DD bathed
WHEW...I am pretty caught up with post trip stuff. tomorrow I will do light vacuum and dusting among other things
See you all in the morning. I am going to collapse now!
The house that is. I put my foot down with DH and the kids and we did a mega-session. So here is my TADA from yesterday, hopefully this will keep things manageable until April 19th when I can breathe again.
TADA
dishes, two lods plus pots & pans
mopped kitchen floor
washed 4 loads of laundry, but more materialized
folded & sorted laundry, everyone put their own away
plants soaked in the shower
catbox
dinner: pork roast, baked beans, green salad, and warm oatmeal cookies
cleaned out an old, dirty, yucky plant stand so I will have space for a new computer table
our bedroom carpet vacuumed
DD3's bedroom cleaned, even under her bed
27 Fling Boogie in the bathrooms
Wow! Look at those TADAs!! Makes me feel downright lazy!
Heidi, you mean your supposed to unpack after a trip? hmmmm.
Andrea, we had hamburger helper. Not on DH's diet, but I hate for it to go bad sitting in the pantry, and he's blown the diet for the week anyway. Start again next week, after Easter dinner. I had to make cupcakes last night for DD4s Easter party today, so I got to lick the bowl.
Hamburgers tonight! Having inlaws over to watch....
ATLANTA BRAVES BASEBALL OPENING DAY!!
Yes! I'm so excited it's baseball season again!!! I wanted to have an apple pie, too, but no granny smith apples in the house, and I hate it with other apples.
It's Tuesday. Since I was gone yesterday, will try to do my weekly blessing, laundry, and maybe some paperwork.
And for you mud season folks, this should make you smile. I had to mail some bills today (if the mailman comes. He hasn't been able to make it down the road in a couple days). So I walked to the mailbox in the mud. Got to the barditch to the box, and sunk down halfway up my calf! Lovely!
Not sure where he is? I hope all is well, maybe just computer problems again. His journal has been untouched since Saturday's entry, but his wife's is there. Maybe just busy.
Jenny, I watch "Days" and have for, oh about 15 years. Remember when Marleana was possessed about 5 years ago? It's turned into a comedy more than a soap You can watch once a month and never fall behind.
Jackie?? Are you lurking? How's everything going? I had an appointment Thursday and found out I had only gained one pound last month!! Don't know how I did it cause Lord knows I wasn't watching what I ate. I also found out I'll get my ultra sound on the 28th of this month. I can't wait to find out what we're having!
Andrea, you'll have to send me an updated picture when you get done with the wall. I have the same problem on one wall in my "formal" I say "formal" cause it's hard to be formal with the old furniture from my family room in there But I know what you mean about it being your sanctuary, that's the one place in the house I'm guaranteed that no one will bother me, there's no TV, games, toys, or phone. It's my quiet space.
Well as for flying...
I'm keeping my head above water and that's about it. Homeschooling is going well, that's something!
PODA
*laundry
*ironing
*clean master bedroom, it's bad
*dinner
I have to miss it b/c it is on TBS, which we don't get, at a time when I will be out volunteering w/ my cousin for the Jewish Community Center seder. So that is sad, but I'm sure I'll get to see them later in the season!
PODA: Quicken, volunteering. Can't count on anything else.
TADA: Last night around midnight neither of us could sleep, so we cleared out the closet in DH's office/ studio. There was mostly trash in there so it went pretty quickly.
We had a wonderful week in Maui. The trip was for DD 18 birthday, graduation and our 20th anniversary (this June). It was definetly a splurge. The weather was breezy, blue skies and low 80s every day. DH and kids went snorkeling and saw sea turtles, dolfins, tropical fishes and whales (from a distance).
Now it's back to school and routines. I haven't had a chance to catch up on the posts. Soo, I hope everyone is doing well and Jenny is getting enough rain for the farm.
It's night time so the PODA is just to check the sink, start packing lunches and then head off to bed.
I've will post a PODA in the am for accountablity.
Well, I've been posting less in hopes of concentrating on my fly-ing more. I don't know if I'm really accomplishing much in that arena, as DD and I have been sick in tandem. She is well now and I am still sick. Yesterday was by far the worst day. Last night I had a sinus headache so bad that when I coughed I felt like my brain was smashing against my skull almost all the way around. Took Sudafed and then Tylenol and went to bed. Woke up at 4:30 this morning with no headache - woohoo! I'm still coughing, but I can handle that as long as my head is not throbbing. Hopefully this soon shall pass.
I'm on my new schedule, so today is my day not to go into the office. DD goes to preschool from 8:30 to 12:00. I plan to do my grocery shopping while she's at school. I've already gone to the newstand at the end of my road and got a newspaper for the grocery ads, made a menu and grocery list. And checked for coupons I might have. I also stripped our bed and have the sheets along with like-kind clothes in the washer. Maybe I can get them changed out before I leave at 8:10.
Today's PODA:
* Call preschool DD will attend in the summer to ask questions
* See if I can change time for DD's ultrasound next week
* Grocery store, produce stand, get groceries put away
* Use foodsaver to freeze meats
* Put chicken in crockpot with ingredients for Chicken Delicious
* Strip DD's bed, wash, dry & remake
* Remake my bed after sheets finish
* Check on status of online orders
* Check on bank account (they are having problems with their wire provider & noone's payroll check that is direct deposited has gone in this week! We need DH's check from yesterday to be deposited!!)
Well, I need to run. I'm going to get my shower before DD gets up & hopefully my makeup and dressed as well. She was up at 5:35 yesterday morning - sheesh!!
Have a great one. Sorry I haven't commented specifically to anyone, but I am lurking and you guys are in my thoughts even if you don't hear from me.
It looks like a seaside town here with all this fog rolling in. It is so thick that it's hard to see!
Anyway, Ds is off to school and so the day begins....
Hello to All...
PODA:
laundry
order perscription
call friend
if fog clears, take DD and dog for walk
pay bills
dinner
homework
Maui...how awesome Susan. Did you see the black sand beaches or are they on Oahu(sp)?
Vonnie sorry about the sickies but glad you all are on the upswing. My DD starts preschool in the fall and I plan to do grocery shopping and exercise while she is there as well.
What a great trip for your family Susan! Welcome back -
Hi Vonnie - that is quite a visual there! Glad the headache is gone - drink lots of water to clear out those sinuses!
Morning Heidi! Preschool is a good time to get those chores done - I used to do just that. Now my preschool time is on the days I go to work, which works well also.
Well, what a lousy week for sports. GA. Tech lost, Tennessee lost, and the Braves lost. but I guess if you like the Mets or U. Conn, it's a good week, huh?!
Susan, how FUN!!!! Will you be my mommy? Sounds like you had a real good time. Welcome back! And yes, we have gotten lots of rain! I hope this isn't all we will get for the year and it's spread out thoughout the summer.
Vonnie, glad the headache is gone.
Letsee, I didn't get the bathrooms or kitchen floor done yesterday, but I did get some vacuuming done. And I cleaned surfaces in my room, all are clear of junk, just some knick knacks, and it looks much better. Also got bills figured out (not done, I just know how much money we will need for the month).
DH has Lions club tonight, so me and the kids can have something good that he can't have for dinner. yay!
Oh, and Vonnie, the Teutles will be on Jay Leno tonight! whoohoo!
I vote for pizza Jenny! We[re haviang that leftover pork roast from a few days back - have to cook some pasta for the kids to go with it.
DD is at a friend's and I'm doing some paid work - can't you tell? I want to get my laundry folded before I pick her up and then home for lunch, to the Dr. to check her cough, and to Tiger Cubs with DS7 and DD5.
Wow it amazes me how much a mess people half my size can make! I know I should probably make them help but when they say they want to go outside I say "GO PLEASE!!! Just for the little peace and quiet.
Are 3 boys louder than 3 girls? Cause I swear me and my sisters where never this loud.
Heidi- I am so happy that you enjoyed your trip it's what every mom deserves!
Vonnie- make sure you take that vitamin C!! Just dont take too much or you'll get sick from the other end!! LOL sorry!
Preschool is full down here I should check to see if what they offer in Washington.
PODA

Shoes are on my feet and tied but the only thing they are doing is making them heavier and hot!!
LOL, getting out of my pity pot and going to conquer my house and family.
xoxoxoxo
Amee
A crane appeared at my pond today. I was at the kitchen sink and looked out the window and saw this HUGE bird. I got my binoculars and my bird book and identified it as a crane. It was almost as tall as DD who will be 3!!!!
TADA
laundry
paid bills
trash to curb
storytime at library
calls made
gas for van
vacuumed FR
still to do
homework and dinner
Got ground beef out on the counter. Anyone have any suggestions on what to do with it?? Don't be crude,now....LOL
I got the bathrooms clean and the kitchen mopped. Also the windows in living room and dining room and patio door.
DD6 has an attitude today. great.
Andrea, I vote for Pizza too! BUT, I don't have the stuff for it. mainly the motz. cheese and pepperoni. Pizza with just sauce? Better not! LOL! I don't feel like a trip to town for one, either. I wish we had delivery here!!! Then I thought, hey, pancakes!! Or waffles. Then remembered we have no syrup. Can't even keep it in the house, too much temptation for DH to fix a bowl of peanut butter and pour the syrup on top. GROSS, I know, but he loves it. I have nothing unhealthy to feed me and my kids! LOL! will probably just have Fried Egg and Cheese Sandwiches.
Back in the 60's today. But rain and snow are predicted for Easter Sunday. Um, isn't this a step backwards? It was just in the 80's last week! Sheesh!
Do other schools have preschool as part of the public school system? Ours you don't have to pay for. Enrollment is on a priority basis: In-district with a problem (speech, OT) get in first. Always a waiting list, 24 are allowed in (2 different classes, all day. One on Mon-Tues, the other Wed-Thurs). Everyone here (TNH) talks like preschool is expensive and a different school. I don't think the school in town here has it, but the rural ones here I think all do. Just wondering.
That figures Jenny! Fried egg and cheese sandwiches are probably better for you anyway!
About preschool, in NY it is NOT part of public school except in some of the big cities. In our small town there are three - my kids have gone to one and I currently pay 60.00 per month for 2 mornings each week 0 9:00-11:30. I think it is a good deal - there are 3 teachers and maybe 18 or so kids. Snacks, projects, storytime, playrooms, playground, parties, etc. I'm very comfortable with the setup. Then kindergarten around here seems to be full days in almost all towns. Well - 5 hours anyway - 9:00 to 2:15 or so.
Well, you aren't SUPPOSED to thaw frozen meat on the counter, but I've done it for years with no problems. So, you be the judge on that.
Andrea, I don't think I would send my kids to preschool if I had to pay! Wow! Ours is good. Two teachers for 12 kids (both have their bachelors in elem. education, one has a masters). Parent's bring snacks (it was my week this week). It's all day, 8-3. Lots of playtime, both inside and out on their own playground, nap, snack, brush teeth, learning letters and writing, library (they get one book a week), storytime. The kids that need it have one on one time with the special ed teachers (mine has speech). They eat lunch in the cafeteria, even have their own little table. The eighth graders come in and read each child a story (reading buddies. DD4 has a great one that loves to make posters and stuff for her). Three Juniors came in and hid eggs for the egg hunt yesterday. I really think DD4 will miss preschool next year! At least she can still see the teachers everyday.
The five of us piled in the ol' Whore and fed the cows. Chance drove, dd4 shifted gears, dd6 turned on the feeder and honked the horn. Chance loves the cows! And we have 6 tiny babies! One was just born last night or this morning! Made me want to scoop him up and keep him in the yard! I shoulda brought the camera! LOL!
Andrea-wild that you just saw a crane too! Maybe it was the same one.LOL He's probably on his migration to Florida...
I ended up with tacos, easy peasy
DS had the neighbor boy over after dinner and homework. They were in the muddy backyard playing by the pond when DS steps on an old wooden dock that is pretty submerged in our pond and slides right in the cold mucky water> I saw the whole thing and had to hold back the laughter...it was amusing. He was just at the edge, not in the deep parts so he didn't get mad. Needless to say, there is alot of muddy clothes and socks to deal with. YUK.
Preschool that DD will attend is in the elementary school that DS attends. It is part of the district. It is 4 days per week,2 and 1/2 hours per day. Half the class has a special need of some sort(speech delay, physical, emotional, or visual). If there is a special need, that child does not pay otherwise it is $80 per month for the 4 half days.
There are other, more expensive preschools around but we chose this because it is 2 minutes away,at DS school so she will transition to Kindergarten there, and the cost was less than other programs. It also came highly recommended from area families that have sent their kids there. So there is the long version for you,Jenny.
kids off to school (breakfast done, lunches packed) it's great having a DD18 who can drive both to school

I paid all bills before we left for Florida and now the house payment is due and wouldn't you know it, I have no stamps!! It is pouring rain and all I need is one lousy stamp and i will have to go out to get some.... Bad bad flybaby.
PODA
buy stamps
do craft with DD
general straighten up
load and run dw
dinner
no homework-4 day weekend for DS
It is yucky outside,so dark that I have lamps on to light up the house. So today after we get stamps,we will stay home, crank the radio,do crafts, maybe make cookies, and just hang out. Sometimes a dark rainy day is a good thing!
Heidi, if I need one stamp or a whole roll, I just leave the appropriate amount in the mailbox and Eugene (the mailman) takes care of it.
Haven't seen a crane around here lately. DH shot and missed at a buzzard this morning, though.
It rained again last night! whoohoo! I thought I had heard thunder sometime in the wee hours, but as I was asleep, I grumbled something about the damn air force jets breaking the sound barrier at this hour. LOL! Just not used to thunder and rain.
Why did I bother mopping yesterday? Dh came in with muddy boots and walked all over the clean floor, THEN walked onto the biege carpet!!! I could have shot him! And it's not like he doesn't have a place to take off his boots, he passed by 6 chairs on the patio, then a chair in the laundry room right by the door! Grrrrr.....
I have dd6 Easter party today. Other than that, I don't believe I will do much at all! It's thursday, that's my FREE DAY!!! whoohoo! (hmmm, somehow that is the only day on my Flyschedule I try to keep...). Girls are staying the night at Grammies tonight so they can have a tea party, dye eggs and have a hunt. How fun!
Tried to read a quick catch up with you guys, everyone sounds like they are doing great.
Heidi, glad you had a good trip and sounds like you are all settled back in your home sweet home. Stinks about having to go get one stamp. I order a roll of 100 online, after the exact thing happened to me a million times
Jenny, I love your descriptions of your family driving in your ol' Whore to feed the cows. Please do post some pictures one day.
Hi Jamie Lea!!! Glad you are feeling well, and only 1 pound???? Holy smokes that is great. I don't think I every have had an appointment with a 1 lb gain. 10 lbs yes, but not 1 lb I actually have been pretty crazy this week, I failed the 1hr glucose tolerance test by 10 points so I had to go for the dreaded 3hr one yesterday. Wasn't nearly as bad as I was imagining, just a pain to sit for 3 hours and have my blood drawn every hour. There are a lot of false positives with the 1 hr so cross your fingers I passed the 3 hr. If not, not the end of the world, will have to watch my diet better. Only 10 weeks to go so is way worth it, at least its not the rest of my life. So are you guys hoping boy or girl?? We aren't finding out, but I better come up with a boy name really soon. Or else we may name him Oswald like my 3 year old niece wants
Well off to the flapping:
~Huge Tada- is nice out so I actually walked 1 mile
~2 loads of laundry done
~27 fling boogie in kitchen
~ wiped out utensil drawer and some cabinets
~vaccuumed den and kitchen
~watered plants
~did my am routine
~go to work 1-9pm. BLECH it's getting harder and harder to stand all day Hopefully will not be busy
I don't have pictures of the Whore up, but I just put new pictures up last week on my website. Hmmm, I'll have to throw Chance in the pickup and just take pictures of him "driving". Link to my site is on my profile.
Jackie, don't be too impressed. It was a fluke, I've gained a total of, oh I can't even say it. And Jenny, you better not tell! Only 10 weeks to go, WOW! I've got 17 I feel like It's already been a year! I failed both the 1hr and 3hr test with DS6, I ended up having to take insulin shots the last 3 months of that pregnancy. It wasn't fun, but worth it. He's never had any heath problems and he's always been a normal size for his age, but he weighed 11lbs. 12 oz at birth! Pretty big. I'm praying you'll pass the 3hr test, either way, everything will be fine and you'll be holding you beautiful baby boy or girl in only 10 weeks!
I can't believe you have the patience to wait on finding out the sex, your a stronger woman than me!
Sorry that was way OT. I do have a couple TADA's from today.
*threw away 2 nice size bags of paper from the classroom
*cleaned and put away my fall/winter purse, got out the spring/summer one. I've meant to do this for a week or so.
*one load of laundry
*homeschooled
*bank and post office
*spiffied downstairs
PODA for tomorrow
*vacuum and clean the stairs
*spend some time maintaining in my bedroom
*spiffy in my closet (maybe a 27 fling boogie)
*laundry (at least one load)
The older boys are out of school tomorrow so DS6 and I will also take the day off. I've got a couple chores for each of the older boys and DS6 could always stand to work on his room. Fingers crossed for a productive day.
See you all later.
Jamie Lea
Jamielea-wow,Ds was a big baby,do they think this baby will be large too? I was borderline on the sugar test so they made me follow a diabetic diet just in case but I was always hungry. Dd was average size at birth(8 lbs.) so all's well that ends well. Good Luck!
Jenny-did the girls have fun at grammies? Wish Dd had a place to land like that, sounds like fun.
PODA
bank deposit
Aldi for groceries
bake carrot cake for Holiday
put away laundry
dw load and run and put away
dinner
rent movie?
Busy weekend for us here. Saturday is the Easter egg hunt and luncheon with DD and friends. Later that day around 4pm is her cousin's bday party. Then sunday is Easter of course and we will be having lunch at DH aunt's house. Whew! i like visiting but not when it is all crammed in like that. Oh well......
DS is at Aunt's house til saturday. They even took the dog to spend the night too! And they didn't want to have her while we were away!! I think that they are hooked now.
Our vacation starts today today - I'm looking forward to it, but the kids are fighting a lot already. DD5 has a friend coming over this morning, hopefully that will help some.
Back from Aldi. Always amazed at how much I manage to buy with so little money. that store better never go out of business or I would be up a creek! Right Andrea?
It was so nice out on the way home that we stopped at the park again. Twice this week. What a treat for DD.
I am supposed to bake that darn 3 layer carrot cake but it is so nice out that I feel like cleaning out my flower beds and such. Oh well... Maybe I can do a little while the cake bakes. My luck, I will forget about the cake in the oven, better stick DS watch in my pocket and set the alarm!!!
Hope your vacation goes well,Andrea. Planning anything special or just R&R?
Just a quick post, I'm running late on starting the day. We all slept late, then had a nice big (late) breakfast.
To top off all this "sluggin" I'm thinking of hitting a yard sale or two here in a few min. Bad flybaby
Heidi, So far I'm not showing any signs of the diabetes, I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I wish I knew how to use my scanner, I'd post a picture of me while I was pregnant with DS6. My belly was HUGE, luckily it was ALL in my belly. I'll see if DH can show me sometime this weekend and if so I'll post it on my website.
BTW, I loved shopping at Aldi when we lived in Indiana. Another store I miss, Kroger, they have double coupon days, everyday, or they did at one time.
Ok, I've goofed off enough on here, time to goof off in real life
I managed a few hours with no kids! The girls of course spent the night at Grammies (dd6 called me to find out Andruw Jones' jersey number on the Braves. LOL!). Then we decided that Chance can spend the morning hunting eggs and stuff so I could go to town and get my hair permed! whoohoo! Been 1 1/2 years for that! Got a spiral, so now I am very kinky headed! LOL! I'll take a picture maybe after it calms down a bit, few days maybe.
Also went to Walmart and bought some paper punches on clearance, dog food, oil (for a truck, not for cooking). Subway for lunch, stopped by the CPA's to pick up a copy of our returns. Picked up kids, home now with tons to do but I just want to veg out for a little while and watch Dallas.
Hmmm, Jamie Lea, I smell blackmail! LOL!
Oh, and it rained AGAIN yesterday! I'm feeling a bit spoiled! you should see how green our weeds are! Glad the horses eat it!
Jenny, sounds like a nice day for you!! You've gotta post a picture SOON, while it's still kinky!
JamieLea, sounds like you are doing great! How were the yard sales?
Heidi, you got that right girlfriend! I LOVE my Aldi - they are constantly coming out with new, better products -I'm trying to shop there every Monday am, followed by a trip to my local grocery - Wegmans to get the stuff I couldn't get at Aldi. It is not as convenient as one stop shopping, but I think I save quite a bit. Our town is getting a Wal-Mart Supercenter in a couple of years, I will most likely be shopping there when it is built.
Sounds like a fun day Heidi! I forgot to answer your ? before - we are sticking around here for this vacation. We travelled to AZ in February and will just do outings, etc. this time around. Should be fun though.
We went to an Egg Hunt today and the kids loved it. Took DS7 to tap, alked with a friend, and here I am! Church tomorrow and then it will just be the 4 of us for dinner.
Well, it's 8:30 a.m. and we're getting ready for the day. This is DD's first Easter with us. She is excited about wearing her new hat, purse, dress and shoes. She is such a priss! I had to paint her fingernails and toenails this morning. I have the hot rollers heating up now to try to curl her [very straight] hair. We're going to BIL's to have lunch and hunt eggs. It's very stormy here today, so we may be hunting them indoors. Then, it's off to my grandparents to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary.
Oh, and she LOVED her Easter basket this morning. We only gave her a few candies, but included some socks, coloring book, straw cup, stuffed Ty bunny. She will get plenty of candy today, I am sure. She was also excited to see the dozen and a half colored eggs I did last night [amidst storming & the power going off and on!!]
What a great Mom you are Vonnie - she is one lucky girl! Hope your day was fun -
We just got back from church ourselves - it was a nice service. The kids had fun with their baskets too this am. We may do a little egg hunt of our own here.
Vonnie, are you also planning to do Russian Easter with DD?
I made it through the first few days of Passover without any flour, grain, beans, etc. but gave up and had a grilled cheese sandwich on Thursday night and some pizza last night. Tonight I am going back on the wagon since it is the last night (for Reform and Israelis; others have another night). This holiday is a pain in the butt!
Ta-da: ordered online groceries today, and made some headway on cleaning the kitchen.

good Morning!

Have a good one. Will check in later.
Heidi
Back from shopping
Hi!
Sounds like a great trip Heidi! You guys are brave to try the driving at night thing.
Have fun at Hobby Lobby Jenny!
Back from my BIG shopping - should take us through the week. Now doing some paid work.
Andrea
Back too.
welcome home, Heidi!!
Have a great night!
rain vs. thunderstorms
Maybe it's the thunder part that's bad?
Tonight is supposed to be the first Passover seder, but I'm not planning to do much of anything. We'll have grape juice with dinner.
Maybe I'll make some homemade matzah. Not that it would be kosher for Passover, but it's not as if I keep kosher the rest of the year.
I changed the cat litter today, and did some desk chores. I need to do some more desk chores, put away laundry, and fix dinner. I may vacuum.
Checking in
It is exhausting isn't it Jenny? Sounds like you had a productive trip though! What was for dinner, by the way? I ended up putting Jo's pork roast in the crockpot with sweet potatoes, carrots, chicken broth, and soy sauce. Turned out great! Also green beans and dinner rolls for the kids. We have enough to have another night this week - yay!
Hi Becky! Glad to see you poke your head in.
Work tomorrow for me. It is so cold and miserable here you wouldn't believe it! I love living in this area most of the year, but I have to say when it's April 5th and FREEZING outside I am just about ready to move.
Gotta run, have a good nite all!
Andrea

morning!
I wanted to have an apple pie, too, but no granny smith apples in the house, and I hate it with other apples.
ATLANTA BRAVES BASEBALL OPENING DAY!!
Yes! I'm so excited it's baseball season again!!!
Lovely!
Mud Central here too, Jenny.
Mud Central here too, Jenny. Every time I let the dog back in i have to wipe her paws and hind legs or my carpet would be black.
Just got back from taking DD to the park. It is sunny and around 50 out so I figured I'd give her a treat.
PODA:
make a couple calls
park(done)
assemble and hide Easter baskets
load and run dw
dinner
homework
Hello to everyone else. Where is Mike lately?
The daffodils are peeking through the mud and my tulips are about to open as well. I Love spring!!
See ya all later...
Heidi
Mike?
Not sure where he is? I hope all is well, maybe just computer problems again. His journal has been untouched since Saturday's entry, but his wife's is there. Maybe just busy.
Afternoon
Welcome back Heidi, your vacation sounded great!
Jenny, I watch "Days" and have for, oh about 15 years. Remember when Marleana was possessed about 5 years ago? It's turned into a comedy more than a soap
You can watch once a month and never fall behind.
I have the same problem on one wall in my "formal" I say "formal" cause it's hard to be formal with the old furniture from my family room in there
But I know what you mean about it being your sanctuary, that's the one place in the house I'm guaranteed that no one will bother me, there's no TV, games, toys, or phone. It's my quiet space.
Well as for flying...
I'm keeping my head above water and that's about it. Homeschooling is going well, that's something!
PODA
*laundry
*ironing
*clean master bedroom, it's bad
*dinner
See you guys later.
Jamie Lea
Braves opening day!
Home from Maui
Hello all,
We had a wonderful week in Maui.
Susan
Just Checking In
Well, I've been posting less in hopes of concentrating on my fly-ing more.
Vonnie

Gonna get on with it so I'll say bye for now.
Enjoy your day!
Heidi
Hi!
HI all!
Big PODA today, won't bore you with it.
Bye!
Andrea
Lost
DH has Lions club tonight, so me and the kids can have something good that he can't have for dinner. yay!
Oh, and Vonnie, the Teutles will be on Jay Leno tonight! whoohoo!
check in
I vote for pizza Jenny!
Andrea
spring break= dirty house
PODA

A crane appeared at my pond t
A crane appeared at my pond today. I was at the kitchen sink and looked out the window and saw this HUGE bird. I got my binoculars and my bird book and identified it as a crane. It was almost as tall as DD who will be 3!!!!
TADA
laundry
paid bills
trash to curb
storytime at library
calls made

homework and dinner
Got ground beef out on the counter. Anyone have any suggestions on what to do with it?? Don't be crude,now....LOL
Heidi
Cranes
We saw a crane yesterday Heidi! At a nearby lake... Really cool. Ummmm, how about meat loaf or tacos? Those are always my standbys!
Went to watch my first lacrosse game with DS7 - freezing cold, but fun! It was for Tiger Cubs.
Off to do dinner -
Andrea
Gound Beef
Hamburgers, tacos, enchiladas, speghetti sauce, quisadillas
Don't put the ground beef on
Don't put the ground beef on the counter! Unless it is soaking in cold water. Thawing on the counter is dangerous.
Jenny, we are having the same step-backwards here! Except for the snow part, of course.
Okay, PODA: wash whites, exercise, some desk chores, go to the supermarket, maybe vacuum. DH just spontaneously took out the trash.
I have a bunch of non-homemaking stuff to do too, for school and work.
That figures Jenny! Fried egg
Busy day, very tired, I'm off -
Andrea
Well, you aren't SUPPOSED to
Well, you aren't SUPPOSED to thaw frozen meat on the counter, but I've done it for years with no problems.
LOL!
Andrea-wild that you just saw
Gonna go join DH who has just made popcorn.
See ya in the morning!
Heidi

Check back later.
Heidi
Stamps
How fun!
Hi Flyfriends :)
10 lbs yes, but not 1 lb
I actually have been pretty crazy this week, I failed the 1hr glucose tolerance test by 10 points so I had to go for the dreaded 3hr one yesterday.
OK girls and man have a great day! Love Jackie
Jackie
I don't have pictures of the Whore up, but I just put new pictures up last week on my website. Hmmm, I'll have to throw Chance in the pickup and just take pictures of him "driving". Link to my site is on my profile.
Hi flypals!
Jackie, don't be too impressed. It was a fluke, I've gained a total of, oh I can't even say it.
And Jenny, you better not tell!
Only 10 weeks to go, WOW! I've got 17
I feel like It's already been a year!

Jamie Lea
Good Morning! Hello to eve
Good Morning!
Hello to everybody...

Busy weekend for us here. Saturday is the Easter egg hunt and luncheon with DD and friends. Later that day around 4pm is her cousin's bday party. Then sunday is Easter of course and we will be having lunch at DH aunt's house. Whew! i like visiting but not when it is all crammed in like that. Oh well......
DS is at Aunt's house til saturday. They even took the dog to spend the night too! And they didn't want to have her while we were away!! I think that they are hooked now.
Better get on with my day.
Have a great day and remember...you are awesome!!
Heidi
Vacation
Morning everyone!
Our vacation starts today today - I'm looking forward to it, but the kids are fighting a lot already. DD5 has a friend coming over this morning, hopefully that will help some.
Andrea
Back from Aldi. Always amazed
Check in later...
Heidi
Good Afternoon :-)
Ok, I've goofed off enough on here, time to goof off in real life
Jamie Lea
Mom's day out
I managed a few hours with no kids!
Good evening everyone!
Hi all!
Andrea
Dropping by, lots to do, esp.
Dropping by, lots to do, esp. homework, will probably be off TNH for the weekend.
Good Evening! Pretty quiet
Good Evening!
Pretty quiet here today. everyone is busy,busy...
The Egg hunt went okay, the Easter Bunny came and gave out balloon animals and the kids ate plenty of sugar!! Dd had fun.
We had lunch at my friend's afterwards and then came home for DD to nap.
Think I may run out to Lowe's and get some pansies to put in the pots out on the front steps. Spread a little spring cheer.
We didn't color eggs today, maybe tomorrow if the kids feel like it before we have lunch at DH aunt's house with the family.
Didn't do much flying today, day off I guess.
Hope you all have a good rest of the weekend.
Happy Passover
Happy Easter

Easter
Sounds like a fun day Heidi! I forgot to answer your ? before - we are sticking around here for this vacation. We travelled to AZ in February and will just do outings, etc. this time around. Should be fun though.
We went to an Egg Hunt today and the kids loved it. Took DS7 to tap, alked with a friend, and here I am! Church tomorrow and then it will just be the 4 of us for dinner.
Happy Easter and Passover everyone!

Happy Easter Everyone!!
Well, I hope you all have a great day!
Vonnie
Easter
What a great Mom you are Vonnie - she is one lucky girl! Hope your day was fun -
We just got back from church ourselves - it was a nice service. The kids had fun with their baskets too this am. We may do a little egg hunt of our own here.
Andrea
Vonnie, are you also planning
Vonnie, are you also planning to do Russian Easter with DD?
I made it through the first few days of Passover without any flour, grain, beans, etc. but gave up and had a grilled cheese sandwich on Thursday night and some pizza last night. Tonight I am going back on the wagon since it is the last night (for Reform and Israelis; others have another night). This holiday is a pain in the butt!
Ta-da: ordered online groceries today, and made some headway on cleaning the kitchen.
