The X Spindle, variation on the Turkish Spindle

The beauty of this is, you slip the cross off the rod, then slip each arm of the cross out of the ball, and, poof!, your ball of yarn is sitting right there in your hand read to ply. This is soooooo exciting! And they had the forethought to make this out of cedar to ward off the moths while you work! Got this very reasonably online at Marr Haven.

Is that your spinning?
If it is, I'm so proud of you! If it's not, I'm so excited for you!

Yup, that's mine
As soon as I got home from the mailbox I plopped down and spun that tiny little ball. Spun some more later on last night but started getting too too thin, almost the thickness of quilting thread. Have to pull back and make it a tad thicker.
Hey, what can I say, you're a great teacher!
