Kansas Land Rush, Anyone?

Small town in Kansas giving away land: If you move to Marquette, KS, the town will GIVE you a building lot. You have to put up a house within a year and live in it for a year, and then it's yours.

I sent an email to some of my family letting them know about the kansas thing - and my dad sent me back this joke.

Q:Why is Oklahoma so windy?
A: Cause Texas blows, and Kansas sucks.

Suffice it to say, he doesn't like Kansas

I would rather perform a lobotomy on myself with a plastic Elmo spoon that move to Kansas. Tornados, lack of trees, heat in summer, snow in winter.

So when Lynn messaged me with the info on kansas I had one reply:
