Happy Anniversary To Us

As of 3/13/04, it's 11 years for DH and I. Had a nice day. The funny part was DD's response to the knowledge that mommy and daddy are married. She asked a few moments later, very shyly and prettily, "'Tan I doe to da wedding, too?" How cute is THAT? So I explained that mommy and daddy already had our wedding a long, long time ago. So, being the girly girl that she is, she asked me about my dress!
So, I pulled out my wedding dress for her to see, which really excited her. She loves weddings, probably because of Disney's Cinderella, one of her favorite movies. She approved of the dress and the flower garland I wore in my hair, and daddy sat down with her to show her the pictures of our wedding. I forsee a few weeks of discussing my wedding with my daughter in exhaustive detail. I love it.

How precious!
What a great story! I'd have loved to have an out of doors ceremony. When you move, you should take several cuttings from the tree to plant seedlings wherever you end up. That way, you'll always have a bit of your Wedding Tree! Hope you know how to take cuttings from a tree, though--don't ask me how, I always kill my cuttings, don't know how to do it properly.
Or if it makes seeds that are easy to collect and germinate, you could harvest those instead. Just a thought!

The backyard tree
John and I got married in our back yard under a tree. He was wearing jeans and a clean white shirt, I was wearing a green jumpsuit. Josie calls it the "wedding tree," and if/when we move it will be the thing I miss the most.
