The dog got out today, thank you Josie for leaving the gate open. She learned her lesson, though; she had to help Daddy chase the dog back into the yard and it took a good half hour or more of walking around the neighborhood and another 20 minutes sitting in the corner.
The good part: I had to stay by the gate so that I could close it when the dog came back, and as long as I was there hanging around I decided to do a little work. I did about 20-30 minutes of raking leaves and carting them into the back yard. I put the leaves in a garden bed infested with false parsnip in hopes of smothering them. That may not sound like much but last year at this time I was still unable to get out of my recliner. Progress!
