It really is as good as the ad says it is.
For the first few months, when we were told that our bottles had to be sterilzed, this gave us peace of mind and was so much easier and quicker that boiling, I can't begin to describe it. It uses just a little bit of water in the bottom. It's awesome.

I had one too, an earlier version...
I bottle-fed my first baby, so my mother bought me the Avent sterilizer and it came in very handy. Add only a small amount of water to the bottom tray and the steam sterilizes the bottles (it also works well for breast pump parts). Once I absent-mindedly put in a pacifier tether, though, and the metal clasp melted a bit of the insert rack. But I kept the sterilizer and it still works. What a great idea.
