What is Americana? It's American roots music--bluegrass, country/western, blues, cajun/zydeco and folk. Most folks expand it to include soul, rockabilly, early R&B and folk rock. That's the cool thing: On Americana and American Routes you're likely to hear Buddy Guy, Willie Nelson, Alison Krauss and James Brown all in one day segment. Boot Liquor isn't quite as eclectic, sticking to the more countrified stuff, but kicks out rockin' sets that span the decades right up to the best of the present.
