Low(er) Carb Eating

The Burning Question [1]: Another study shows Atkins works, to the consternation of the nutrition establishment. And this study was funded by the American Heart Association, hardly low carb supporters.

I am one of those who has been against Atkins, I guess because I was put on it as a child (and hated it). These days, I'm not doing Atkins, exactly, but I'm finding that the more good quality fat I eat--butter, cream, eggs, coconut oil, olive oil, lard and drippings of all kinds--the less sugar I want, the more satisfied I feel (on fewer actual calories) and the more weight I lose. I've dropped more than ten pounds without actually trying. And granted, I have a lot to lose (another 50 at least), but considering how hard it's been for me to lose weight in the past I'll take it!

Discuss.
