You know you've wondered, now you know. Thanks to John for caring enough to find out. Why he cares, I don't know.

Well, rats singing about subs

Submitted by jennye on Wed, 02/25/2004 - 5:51pm.

Well, rats singing about subs sure isn't going to have me bringing them any business. LOL!! Quite a turn off, are the rats speaking from experience living in Quizno's? You can't understand them, it's like music today, which is a huge turn-off. Yikes, did I just say that? Of course, I'll argue with my father til I'm blue in the face that I understand every word Ozzy, Guns n'Roses, and Metallica are "singing" about.

I guess Quizno's won't be hurt any, never been there, and there isn't one within a few hours drive from me anyway. I go to Subway! Laughing out loud

We were just talking about that ad tonight! I share your sentiments Jenny, a singing rat just don't do it for me.

...did you click through to the original "spongmonkey" animation? "We love de mooon!" THAT was funny.

Thank you for clearing up this mystery! I'm glad to know I wasn't the only one to do a double-take. They are kinda funny...but don't really make me hungry for subs. Smiling

They are utterly demented and so ugly that they have their own charm. The spongmonkey page was exquisite. Now that I know what they are, the ad is funny. I agree, though, they don't make me want to eat the subs though, crunchy and toasted though they may be. Hope the guy that invented those got big bucks for the spots.
