Study shows microwaves deplete nutrients [1]: "Broccoli, for instance, can lose as much as 97 percent of some antioxidants, or cancer-fighting compounds, when it is zapped in the microwave." Even heating up already-cooked broccoli has this effect, apparently. Best method: Steaming. I imagine stewing would be okay too, since you eat the cooking water along with the veggie.
