Last night for the first time--since I'm FLYing right now and the kitchen was in some semblance of order--the girls were able to do the dishes! I got to put my feet up and knit and when I came to close the kitchen down last night it took much less time than usual. They even put most of them away! ah progress!
It probably helps that Lou is in a phase right now where she's decided she wants to be a housewife when she grows up. There is much wearing of aprons, "scrubbing" of floors (with a damp towel some place it doesn't matter) and mending of doll clothes going on. She's even starting to pick up after herself a tiny bit. I'm not hopeful this is permanent, but for now I'll take it.
