 An Instant ClassicThese books got so much hoop-de-doo that I thought there was no possible way for them to come even close to their reputation. And so I avoided them for a very long time. Last Christmas (2003) I got the flu and the first four books. I devoured them. They didn't meet their reputation, they surpassed it. I was completely captivated, and blown away, by the depth of J.K. Rowling's imagination and skill. If you haven't read the Harry books, don't deny yourself any longer. Book 6 comes out in mid-summer 2005; be prepared and read the first five!
