Description
Ingredients
- 1 c milk
- 1 c fresh or frozen fruit: strawberries, peaches, or blueberries
- 1 c yogurt
- 1 banana, sliced three times
- 1 c milk
- 1 c fresh or frozen fruit: strawberries, peaches, or blueberries
- 1 c yogurt
- 1 banana, sliced three times
Instructions
Put all ingredients into a blender and frappe. If you like it a little thinner and cold, add a couple of ice cubes before blending.
Makes two tall glasses or three short glasses of smoothie, perfect for breakfast, a snack, or a cool-off on hot days.
Notes
Also a good way to introduce Baby to fruits, once they start sipping through straws (might have to thin it out some with milk, first).
You can use just about any fruit you like, provided they don't have seeds that will make the smoothie bitter when they're cut up. Kiwis and raspberries both have bitter seeds, for instance. I listed my favorites above.
I use the 1/2 banana as a sweetener. If you're out of bananas or don't like them you can subsitute a dollop or two of maple syrup or honey. (Don't feed honey to children under one year.)
