Feelin' the Quicken Luv

Submitted by Anhata on Fri, 02/01/2008 - 2:55pm.

DH figured out how to download the info for his 401(k), so I think all our financial matters are now in there! It's so cool.

I am in a "savings" mode--I have this compulsion to tuck away money into savings. I've even brought up to DH taking his stock options and moving them into a long term CD where they would earn interest and not vary in value according to the market. Haven't convinced him yet...

I applied for an online savings account with our bank, they can link them to checking accounts and I can manage everything from my command center at home.

Getting a handle on our finances feels very very good. Setting up a savings plan feels v v good, too. Knowing exactly what's where...ditto. I'm being realistic for the first time in a long time, and I know exactly what you mean Jilyst, about making sound decisions because you know what your finaces are.

I've started reading the "Start Late, Finish Rich" book and like what I've read so far. I got the audio book "Smart Couples Finish Rich" for DH and I to listen to together.

If they're as good as I think they'll be, I'll link them to TNH.
