We've been told by a plumber
We've been told by a plumber not to use Draino or other chemical drain openers, our pipes are too old, it'll eat through them.
Sink is still plugged up after 24 hours. I've got a different enzyme drain opener that I'm trying tonight, if that doesn't work, we'll try the boiling water. Thanks for the info, Jennye. We tried one pot of boiling water which didn't work, but not pot after pot like that. I guess that's what they did before Liquid Plumber, huh?
Little update, talked to DDs teacher about Annora's difficulty making friends so she moved her to a different table with three other first years, one of whom is from her old Kindergarten school. She had a great day, today. Part of the learning curve for her is how to create and maintain multiple friendships, not just one best friend, whom she's essentially lost this year, which is, I'm sure, part of her difficulty. Also, how to work through differences that arise. Disagreements, arguments, etc. naturallly arise in the friendships of six, seven, and eight year olds, and DD is still learning how to work through these and to still be friends when the dust settles.
