Thanks for these, Lynn. My DH and I are seriously considering selling the ranch and building our dream home on the farm. We have turned down a couple offers on this place in the last year, but the offer does keep going up. Someday we won't be able to turn it down. When we do, it will not only pay off the ranch, but dang near completely pay for a brand new 2,500 sq foot home. The thought of being mortgage free is a very tempting thought.

We have the smell of new construction in our nostrils right now. My garage is currently (as in: as we speak, the workers are out there now) turning our garage into living space (dh's music room/office) and just replacing the garage door with windows and doors has the fresh construction smell! And it is sweet!

I imagine that when we build our dream home, wild horses can't drag me away from being there every day!
